Michael's Zhongli Talesun Solar Panels Review & Verdict
Michael Bloch covers the latest developments in home electrification for SolarQuotes.
Talesun once had a presence in Australia, but skedaddled. The firm announced in 2024 it was returning to our shores, but it wasn't until May 2025 Talesun solar panels started appearing on the CEC's approved modules list again.

Company Info
Zhongli Talesun is a subsidiary of Zhongli Sci-Tech Group, a conglomerate of six companies operating in fields such as 3D printing materials, polymer materials, medical supplies, optical fiber cables, and of course solar cells and modules.
Talesun Solar was founded in 2010 and claims to have shipped a total of 40 GW of solar modules as at early 2025. Talesun has factories in China, the United States, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa, and ships its products to more than 80 countries and regions.
Talesun Solar Panels In Australia
In June 2024, Talesun said it was returning to the Australian market "based on a comprehensive examination and global photovoltaic industry trends understanding". At that point, it was calling for local dealers interested in joining Talesun’s network here.
In May 2025, a bunch of Talesun panels appeared on the Clean Energy Council's approved modules list, ranging in capacities from 440 Watts to 710 Watts; but we haven't heard much more about them.
When Talesun solar panels were approved and installed here previously for residential rooftop solar applications, the range included modules in capacities of 175W to 370W. An example was the TP672M-315, a 315W monocrystalline panel with a module conversion efficiency of 16.2% and temperature coefficient of Pmax of -0.41 %/°C. Measuring 1960 x 990 x 50 mm, the TP672M-315 weighed 24 kg.
Warranty Details
Talesun panels previously supplied into Australia had a 10-year product warranty and 25-year performance warranty offering a minimum of 90% of nameplate power output at year 10 and a minimum 25 years at year 25.
If you have a warranty claim and unless your installer (or the importer - whoever that was) is still around, you'll need to contact Talesun in China to determine next steps - and good luck.
Talesun wasn't and isn't a module brand SolarQuotes recommends. To see those we currently do, check out our recommended solar panel brands chart.
