Great solar/battery installer in the Illawarra
Had Damien and his team at Lumos Electrical install a 48kWh Sigenergy battery, 10kW single-phase inverter, and 11.75kW of solar panels at my home. From start to finish they were extremely professional, every question I had was answered thoroughly, the install was clean with zero rubbish left on site, and the workmanship was top notch.I did my homework and got multiple quotes before committing, and Lumos were genuinely competitive without cutting corners. You get the sense they're priced fairly because they want repeat business and referrals, not because they're racing to the bottom on quality.
Since the install I've already recommended them to several people. If you're looking for a solar/battery installer who knows their stuff, is easy to deal with, and won't leave you with buyer's remorse.

Quality with customer service
As a tradie myself running a small business, it's good to see other businesses going around who know what they are doing. Lumos Electrical was straight forward with good ideas, experience, confident in doing the job and knowledgeable. Exactly what you need when you are unsure of things. From the moment they finished, everything was up and running perfect. They were neat and tidy and answered all my questions. Definitely recommend them.

GivEnergy Battery Install - Highly Recommend!
Damien came out to quote on a Solar Battery install. Gave me some great, no BS, advice and a very reasonable quote. Josh came out to do the install and has done a very neat and professional installation. Damien came out for the commissioning and to give me a run down of the app and how to manage the battery. Everything from start to finish has been well-managed with great communication and execution. Would (and have) definitely recommend.Panel rating: 5/5

Highly Recommended - Better than 5 Star
We would highly recommend Lumos. If we could give them more than 5 stars we would.From quote to installation and after sales service, we found Damien and his team to be outstanding, providing high quality service at a very reasonable price.
Damien’s knowledge of the solar industry is exceptional and his advice on the best system for us took the stress out of decision-making and made the whole process very easy.
We put in a 13.2kW solar system with a 10kWHybrid Inverter and 25kW battery. We also replaced our old (inefficient) solar hot water system with a heat pump (on Damien’s advice) and we are so happy with it.
Josh, Issac and Logan did an excellent job installing the whole system. The quality of their work is outstanding and, as an added bonus, they are genuinely lovely young tradies – personable and courteous.
We were particularly impressed with Josh. Not only did he spot a few issues with existing electrics (and fixed them), his excellent communication and customer service skills ensured we were kept well informed and updated every step of the way.
We were also very impressed with how clean and tidy the boys were and how respectful they were when entering our house – work boots off every time. Having had many trades through our house over the past 3 months, I can say that this level of care is uncommon, and very much appreciated.
If you’re considering a solar system, or any electrical work, we strongly recommend going with Damien and his team at Lumos.
