Disappointing and frustrating warranty service

The sales and installation was ok and reasonably efficient but when the inverter failed I called Nextgen for help as it was still under their warranty.

The ensuing month was the most frustrating I have ever experienced with a service company. They seem to have only one person working in the company and he was of absolutely no use whatsoever. After 20 or more calls of which only 2 or 3 were ever answered with empty promises of action which never eventuated.

I finally had to check out the manufacturer Sungrow"s website and try to rectify the problem myself. Thankfully I managed to restart the inverter and the system has been running ok for now. I shudder to think what I will have to do if it breaks down again.

A company with such a poor after sales service should not be allowed to operate in this competitive market.

Do not engage this company - really bad service!!!

The sales and quoting process was good at first. They can explain a lot of things regarding solar installation and systems which gives you confidence in how they do things. The moment you signed up, you will be passed on to another company totally unrelated to the sales group then headache starts. You will never hear from the sales team ever even if you need help dealing with the company they passed you to.

The installation group has very poor customer service and difficult to contact. Never gives you an update when things change like schedule of installation. It took several painstaking calls to get the installation done. Long story short it took 3 months to install the system due to delays and quote/sales group assuming that the electricity meter is compatible to what they have quoted. No one went to checked the site until during the actual installation. Paid them in good faith and promised in person that they would install the final device once the meter upgrade is done.
System is still not working and following up is a nightmare. Wouldn't recommend these group of companies even to my worst enemy. Really bad experience.

Great installers easy communication

The salesperson was easy to talk to and explained things which I understood being a newcomer to solar. The intallers were very professional and noticed two broken tiles outside the scope of works that they replaced. I am in the process of dealing with the aftersales team atm to commission the inverter for the app. Original ratings

We got there in the end

Michael came out to see me and was the third person l asked to quote. I got a slightly smaller system 6.3 kw than the 6.65 kw l had initially wanted, but with better quality panels. Michael was patient and happy to answer my questions over several emails and conversations and improve the design for maximum winter sun. The installation got postponed from a Thursday to Monday due to the weather, but when they got a cancellation they rang and came on Saturday to start. Unfortunately, l wasn’t home when they started, to check which design they were working off and too much racking went up on one side, which they had to then remove again. Still, all the racking and micro- inverters were installed and the panels left on site for the Monday. On Monday the electrician had trouble getting the cable he needed and so the installation finished really late. The men all worked hard to get it finished on the day. I’m told it’s working, the engineer is going to send me instructions for how to connect my wifi to the monitor. Original ratings

See under inverter. So far, seems like a waste of money and an enormous hassle. Time will tell.

Good value. Communication from company was lacking though

Value for money for products was unreal. You got what you paid for for their service and communication though. Took my deposit and did not call me back for two weeks. Then told me I had to buy more tiles for my roof when they thought I was a different customer. Then the installer arriving two hours late for install which went well into the night
