Poor Customer Service - Solar Battery installation Delays
I signed a contract with Solarmaxx in July for a solar battery installation. Up until the agreement was signed, the salesperson was highly responsive and proactive. I was assured that my battery would be installed in September, as they claimed to have a container already booked for WA customers.Once the contract was signed, communication completely collapsed. Despite repeated follow-ups, there were no updates at all until October. By then, the original contact person had stopped responding to both emails and phone calls entirely. I was later contacted by another staff member who vaguely stated they were “trying to prioritise” my installation, yet could not provide any installation date or firm commitment.
In December, I was told their installers were too busy and that the job could not be done that month. I was asked to wait until the last week of January, again with no confirmed date. Subsequent follow-ups were simply ignored. At that point, I had no choice but to cancel my order.
What makes this even more frustrating is that friends and colleagues who signed contracts with other battery providers at the same time in July had their systems installed by August or September without any issues.
This company appears to be efficient only until they secure your signature, after which accountability and communication disappear. If you value transparency, reliability, and timely installation, do not risk your money with this supplier.

Took my deposit and then silence don’t reply to emails trying to get my deposit back but no response

Terrible service.
Sales process is slick, but that’s where it ends. Waited three months for install despite a promise of a month. There was zero incoming communication. Four months later and still no indication of an install date. These people are quick to take your order and deposit.17 October 2025
Bad customer service and no after installation support
Previously used Solarmaxx to install solar panels and couldn't fault them, so when it was time to add a battery I went back to them, a lot more screwing you around this time, seems they have changed for the worse in the past 12 months.My issue is I was told in house installer but they sent sub contractor after multiple times telling me it's their guy coming.
After this post installation had minor issue and was directed to their support person Jacob who tells me no there is no problem, I had to follow up with the sub contractor myself as he completely ignored my problem, turns out was minor calibration issue but I had to fix it myself over phone with sub contractor.
Now few months later I discover they made an error in the installation, once again support guy Jacob tells me no it's not a problem, after researching it myself with no help from them I can confirm installer made a mistake, was told I need to pay $350 to fix this mistake and I should have told the contractor at time of install to do it differently, I'm not qualified to know about this issue and the installer never asked me.
Jacob their support guy tells me give him remainder of the week he will sort something out, I wait 1.5 weeks and he never gets back to me. Contact him and I get no reply, he is just ignoring me.
These guys were a good company but have become to difficult to work with and I could not recommend them to anyone, also pricing was far more competitive in the past.

6.6kw system
Sales and quoting was great, they were happy to change the specified panels to one's I preferred for only and additional $100.Installation went smoothly after being rained off on the first date booked, was a little unhappy at being asked to pay an additional $200 for installing a 63amp MCB, a part which can be bought for less than $20, but we agreed on $100
They arranged everything to do with the grid connection all in all very happy with the whole experience.

Very poor communications, failure to install as promised.Don’t use this company, I paid my deposit in September and was told the battery would be installed in December, then January and now they have ceased communication. I am in the process of reporting to the media and the authorities.
