Puts profit ahead of customer service
When we had solar panels installed in 2020 Bluegum were excellent. However when the optimisers failed under warranty and the manufacturer offered to replace not just those failed but all of them, Bluegum wanted more than double the money to install the new optimisers compared to other local solar companies. This led to a standoff between Bluegum and the manufacturer and us with 25% less panels working for over 6 months. We eventually got the manufacturer to find another installer (see review on Tigo). But on contacting Bluegum I was told they were “scratching their heads” to work out why the manufacturer wouldn’t pay them! Clearly have become arrogant and ignorant as to their own value and how important customer service is. Buyer beware.Inverter rating: 5/5

Professional Installation
I installed a home battery to complement solar panels and heat pump projects completed earlier in the year.I made the mistake of accepting an unsolicited offer to upgrade my Hot water and although the work was completed I was unsatisfied with the quality of the work. This influenced me to be much more demanding of the HVAC and the Battery Projects. Both were undertaken by Bluegum. Each project was discussed in detail with sound advice on exactly what was needed. The proects were professionally documented and installed efficiently. I feel I got what I needed with minimum pressure and exactly as promised. While I'm retired and not particularly well off I think I got good value rather than a cheaper rushed job.

Bluegum has again met the highest satisfaction rating!
Bluegum installed additional battery modules to increase capacity of the existing system. Their customer service and after sales support is very good. While the process from quote to job finish was quite long it did suit our timing needs and is probably a result of their order numbers.The installation was very good, the install crew were polite, punctual and they cleaned up and removed any consequential rubbish. All questions were readily answered and informative.
The outcome certainly meets my engagement criteria of supporting local businesses that deliver.
