Home Efficiency Group (HEG) is a Tasmanian owned and operated installation company serving the whole of Tasmania since 2009.

" We are much more than a solar and battery installer. We are a one-stop-shop for energy efficiency. Our aim is to eliminate your electricity bill by looking at the energy performance of your home as a whole.
Solar can work very effectively in Tasmania - but your solar company needs local experience. Tasmanian homes have unique challenges in Australia. We have cold winters, and less sun than the mainland.Most Tasmanian homes have two meters which, if not configured intelligently, can reduce your solar savings. Home Efficiency Group (HEG Energy to our friends) know how to design, configure and install solar power in Tasmania to maximise savings. This often includes also looking at your home's thermal performance, heat pumps and hot water.
HEG has a showroom in Invermay and a team across the state who can design and install solar and batteries to the highest standard - but also give advice on any other steps you need to make to ensure your your home is comfortable and sustainable with tiny electricity bills."

Hoping the system is good
Salesperson was great. Someone came and spent a lot of time at the house.Since then I have to say the communication has been awful. Many examples of"sorry we missed this email". The install has been cancelled TWICE including on the day of the installation. I'm still waiting in July despite having paid a 50 percent deposit in May.

The leadup up to the instillation was good and informative. Installation went smoothly and service afterwards has been good.10 April 2026

Both the solar/battery and reverse cycle ducted system quotations, installation and commissioning experiences were excellent. Very professional across the board.Panel rating: 5/5

Great insulation did not explain the workings of the batteries
George the sales rep was greatthe insulation was great
getting the app was hard .i had to ring up several time before it was sent to me to download.
there was no communication about how the batteries worked or how they were set up .
