Fantastic solar installer
Heaps of thanks to Puma Solar for retrofitting a large size battery system to my existing solar panels. Appreciate their efficiency and good quality of works. Special thanks to Matthew, he explained, with great patience and knowledge, A to Z of the whole process of the retrofit and what to best have and what to avoid prior to the installation. Above and beyond, Matthew also gave advice on how to leverage the battery system to maximise my financial return. I'd also say thank you to Joscelin, who helped follow up and arrange the inspection in this busy season. Well done, the Puma team!01 March 2026

A smooth install
Matthew at Puma was very knowledgeable, quick to reply to all of my queries and offer me support where needed. The install itself was also very well managed and the contractor was very knowledgeable and an outside the box thinker.The above combined with their very competitively priced batteries, I would recommend Puma in a heartbeat

Great communication and service
Spoke to Matthew and arrived at the right option. Communication was excellent and my questions were answered promptly (often outside business hours via email).Install of AC couple Fox ESS 42kw with 3 phase 10kw inverter connecting to existing solar (double storey older house) was smooth and I’m up and running.
Matthew also provided details on energy providers/plans that I could benefit from with a battery.

High quality, clear, easy to read quotes, great customer care, fast and experienced installers
Customer service was on post my, detailed, mentioned pros and cons, explained all my options clearly, was very supportive and not rushed.After deposit, installation was arranged straight away within a week, installed all of it in half a day (40 panels and 48kw battery).
Done properly and with the installers making sure even the app was installed on my phone and going over details, and what I should expect.
Customer service (Luke) called up a day after to make sure all was going well, and insisted I call him on his mobile if there's ever a problem.

Couldn't Be Happier
First bill since our new installation and it was $122 in credit! Got a 6.6kw solar and 42kw fox battery on our new home, I was dubious when speaking to 'sales people' but Matthew was great, straight talking and made things very easy to understand, I signed up after comparing quotes and we were installed after 12 days, inspector came after 8 days and then switched power companies to take advantage of free power from 11-2 to store in our battery. The installation team were very efficient and took away all the rubbish afterwards and showed me the app for our battery. I couldn't be happier and will definitely recommend them to anyone!Inverter rating: 5/5

Puma solar
On recommendation from a neighbour, I contacted Puma Solar for a quote, which was provided upon a site visit within 2 hours.Solarquotes' candidates were slow to respond.
The quote addressed all necessary elements and pricing was within acceptable parameters.
Compliance issues were managed by Puma and installation promptly executed within good service expectations.

Really helpful, a great experience
I had a really positive experience with Puma Solar. Matt, the sales representative, is an excellent resource of knowledge. If there is something he does not know straight away, he will take the time to find a clear and accurate answer.What stood out most was the way the whole process felt professional and genuine. There was none of the pushy sales attitude that you sometimes encounter in the solar industry. Instead, the advice felt considered and transparent, which made it much easier to make informed decisions.
We had a Fox ESS battery and hybrid inverter installed and DC coupled to our existing solar panels. It was not the most straightforward setup, but nothing seemed too difficult for Matt and the team. They were happy to talk through the options and make sure the system worked properly with what we already had.
Working with Matt and the team at Puma Solar also felt very local and well supported. The process did not have the sense of cheap labour or offshore call centres that can sometimes be part of these installations. Overall, it was a straightforward and reassuring experience, and I would happily recommend Puma Solar to others considering solar and battery installation.
