Defended Solar, quick installation , good system, rotten post installation service.
Defended Solar gave us the best price for the system we wanted, which included 21 panels and FoxESS batteries. After accepting the quote, the system was installed within two weeks. The installation itself only took around half a day, and the installers did a great job, leaving no mess behind. We are very happy with the installation and the performance of the system.Unfortunately, the post-installation service has been a very different experience.
After about a month, the data logger stopped sending information via Wi-Fi to our phone app. We notified Defended Solar on the day the problem occurred, which is now more than a month ago, but unfortunately we have been given the runaround ever since.
Despite being told that the data logger is faulty and being given specific dates when someone would come and replace it, these appointments have not been kept. Calls have not been returned, and there has been no proactive communication from the company. Every follow-up has had to be initiated by us.
So, while we are very happy with the system and the installation itself, the lack of after-sales service and communication has been extremely disappointing. It is frustrating to have an otherwise excellent system let down by what should be a relatively straightforward warranty issue.

Exceptional service, even after the install
Exceptional experience with Defended Energy from start to finish! Carlos was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, patiently answering all my questions, visiting the site and making the entire process completely painless. What really impressed me was how quickly everything happened - they installed our system within a week after signup, which is very rare in this industry! The crew was punctual, clearly knew what they were doing, and worked efficiently throughout the installation. Best of all, they cleaned up thoroughly after completing the job, leaving everything spotless.What really sets Defended Energy apart, though, is that their support didn't stop after installation. Our system developed a fault after 10 months, and the team stuck with us the whole way through until it was properly fixed. Carlos and the team stayed on it until the faulty inverter was replaced and everything was back to normal.
From the first phone call to the final fix, Defended Energy has shown they truly stand behind their work. You really can't ask for better service. Highly recommend them to anyone considering solar!

Installation complete in one day and support service excellent
I was given a good deal as went in early for a 41.93 kWh battery and a 15 kW inverter. Installation was completed in a day, tidy and punctual. After service was prompt and very helpful to manage the charge from the panels to the battery with time variations as required by me.27 August 2026

Defended Energy were easy to work with on both the quote and the install process.They assisted me in working through the government rebates and new loans for green energy as well as the VPP registration process.

High-quality
The whole process from the initial quote through to the installation was smooth and professional. Defender Energy kept us informed throughout, and the installation was completed by EcoGrid Electrical. The installers were punctual, polite, and left everything clean and tidy. They took the time to explain how the charger worked and made sure everything was set up properly, including helping with the grid connection. Overall, we’re very happy with the service and would highly recommend Defender Energy and EcoGrid Electrical.

The enquiry process was easy with bill signup to install in 7 days. The installers came up from Sydney to install my system. 3 guys who were courteous respectful of our property and accommodating in where the fire panels went etc. The install was neat + included a mini board inside for 2 switch/ circuit breakers.Inverter rating: 5/5

Foxx 42 kw + 10kw inverter install

Great service, professionalism and good communication
All members of the team were professional and helpful in their approach, from Sales to Installers to Office staff. We wanted solar panels and battery arrangement, and the package offered was very competitive with a quick install time.While we had a few minor issues, these were successfully resolved via a phone call. The electrical cabling and battery stack were nicely installed, the end result being a clean and tidy space.
We're very happy with the system and how it works.
If you're considering solar panels and/or battery, we'd recommend having a word with Defended Energy.

fantastic istallation, quick turnaround
This companies quotes were several thousand dollars cheaper than other companies quotes.They had a quick install timeline, (deposit paid Monday, system installed Friday).
They returned same afternoon to fix a minor wiring issue, (internal house light wiring crossed).
Can not speak highly enough of there service.

Excellent solar panels, inverter and battery solution for my needs
Overall excellent solution.On my initial enquiry, the Manager made an appointment with me. He physically visited the site and we discussed my situation and he advised me of options.
His suggestions for what products to consider, indicative prices and the design were very good.
After extensive research on products, support and pricing, I decided on Aiko Neostar 3S solar panels and FoxESS 15kW inverter and CQ7 42kW battery.
The quotation for the job was price competitive and references were excellent.
I considered cheaper quotations from other companies but their references (including for installations) were generally significantly less than Defended. I really wanted a good installer.
The installers arrived on the agreed scheduled date.
They re-reviewed and discussed the design with me and did a professional, high quality installation that met the agreed design.
The installers were punctual, friendly, consultative, supportive and high quality.
After installation, the installers helped me to install the monitoring app on my mobile phone. The office support team emailed me supporting documentation. When I have simple queries, they are approachable.
To date (only 1 week ago), the solar panels and battery are functioning perfectly (no issues).
