My name is Mac Haynes. I am Director of Haynes Electrical Contractors PTY LTD, based in the Macedon Ranges.
I am an experienced qualified electrician, with over 10 years in the industry.
Established in 2021, we have now grown to a strong small team of 5, maintaining our reputation of reliability, quality of work and passion for the electrical industry.
Unlike larger businesses with admin teams, we will assist you every step of the process, from applying on your behalf for the Victorian Solar Rebate, to product installation. We give our clients peace of mind that any questions regarding the process, design or materials will be consistent and knowledgeable.
We are in-house installers, meaning it is our team at your property. We don’t subcontract our jobs out to third parties, this eliminates any communication barrier and maintains quality control.
As a small local business, I am on site working with and exclusively training our staff. I do this to ensure all of our staff sustain a high level of care, quality and pride in their workmanship for our clients.
We will provide tailored packages with variations on your quote. This ensures we have individually worked as a team with you in order to achieve an outcome that best suits your needs, wants and budget, without compromising on quality materials.

Battery Installation
The whole process was positive at every stage.No issues with the installation itself. Mac worked really hard to isolate and resolve any issues. They came when they said they would, and the Inspection was organised very soon after the install.
Quality and service without compromise
Haynes was one of the first to follow up on the request for quotation. Mack was prompt, friendly, polite and always patient. We were looking for a rooftop solar with battery backup.An initial site visit walked us through their supply options, always keeping our requirements and preferences in mind. We had a few questions about their proposal, and the response to our emails was always prompt and informative.
Once we decided to go with their system, they came back very quickly with a timeline, duration and information on the steps we needed to take to ensure that the system was usable and would start to pay itself off as quickly as possible.
The installation itself was quick, the team were very efficient and all very polite. Every thing was cleaned up afterwards and the installation looks very smart.
Mack showed us how the system operated, walked us through the app installation and operation, and outlined what would happen over the coming days. All required contact with the distributor to get us connected to the grid and start the process of getting paid for exporting was managed by them. Apart from applying for the associated rebates, we just had to sit back and let it happen.
We are very happy with the system we have and will happily recommend Haynes Electrical Contractors to anyone looking to have a solar system installation carried out.
