CONSISTENTLY GREAT SERVICE

I first became aware of Summit & Shore when my neighbours installed solar panels & battery to their existing system in late December 2025. They had several other quotes and they advised me that the main reason they chose Summit & Shore was the high level of customer service. I had been considering a system to compliment my existing system so researched Summit & Shore, received a quote from them and 2 other providers (through Solar Quotes). What immediately 'shone' for me was confirmation of my neighbour's selection due to the high standard of customer service. This has been evident during the quotation process, installation and after sales. This company is not one that has jumped on the bandwagon to make some quick dollars whilst the government subsidies are in place. They are here for the long term with an ethical approach to solar and our environment. I have referred two friends to Summit & Shore who have both experienced the same level of service and value for money that I have.

Battery Retrofit

Quality experience from start to finish. From initial query with Luke happy to spend time to answer my many questions. Site visit and inspection, through to installation. Nothing too much trouble, clean and tidy, it was almost like they'd not even been there, except the obvious addition of a battery system. Small issue with the air con found the day after, resolved the same day. Professional, knowledgeable and patient. Would recommend.

Great service, communication and advice!

These guys looked after me from start to finish. Always turned up on time and communicated well on the phone or email. Install crew went through all options and left our place very clean. Super neat install and worked extra hard to solve the quirks of our home. Love the new battery and extra panels!

Great experience with heat pump hot water installation - would come back

Summit and Shore did a great job installing a heat pump hot water system for us recently. From first contact they were very helpful and communicative, including conducting a site visit to ensure installation would go smoothly. The quote was competitively priced and the work was done very professionally. It’s great to have enough hot water for long showers and washing up, while using much less electricity! Shout out to Jack the plumber (who also helped us diagnose a washing machine leak - going above and beyond) and Pat and Hugo on the electrical side. Off the back of this positive experience we plan to ask for quotes on solar panels and a battery, when we’re ready.

Fantastic installer

We would highly recommend Summit and Shore Energy. The process from start to finish was extremely smooth and very professional. The quote was very clear and detailed and all of our questions were patiently answered. The installers worked efficiently and were all very polite. They also left the site clean. Review of Summit+Shore customer service and installation

In doing our research to install a battery we sought quotes from two reputable suppliers, Summit + Shore and one other. S+S was the second quote and beat the initial quote quite comfortably on price. We always have reservations about cheaper options and the risks that go with it. But we opted for S+S because we are pensioners and cost is a significant determinant in choice.

Once we received the S+S quote conducted online, we had a visit from the salesperson who went to great lengths to try to break down the technicalities of what we were purchasing in language that two septuagenarians could understand. Understandably, that proved to be highly appreciated and helped sway us to go with S+S.

Being cautious people (it comes with age and experience), we waited until we had a site visit from the person undertaking the actual installation and he gave us a more detailed explanation of what we were purchasing and the benefits of its use and where it had to be located. That set our minds at ease.

We allowed ourselves the best part of a week to make a final decision and, to their credit, S+S did not pressure except one call to ask if we needed more help in coming to an informed decision.

Apart from a day lost through heavy rain, the workmen arrived on time and completed the installation within the set period and left the work area better than they found it.

They gave us an explanation on how the new electrical switchboard worked as best they could to two oldies and left with the guarantee that all we needed to do was make a call and someone would be back to resolve our issues.
We took them up on that offer a week later and they came back and spent another 30 minutes with us to make sure we better understood how to maximise the benefits of our new battery.

At this stage we have had no qualms in making our choice.

Happy with install and after service, sales process was subpar

I got two quotes to add batteries to my existing solar system and also replace my gas Hot water with heat pump.

I and went with summit and shore as they had understood my requirements from Solarquotes better. Pricing was very similar to my other quote.

The sales process was not great and focussed on closing the deal rather than making sure I get what I want.

The sales person (Chris) came out, confirmed to place the battery near the fusebox and went his way.
I considered changing my request to replacing the existing panels or adding a few new ones, but ultimately went back to just adding batteries.
Chris was helpful and responsive with that.
I then placed the deposit and the installer came out.
He rejected the location confirmed by Chris and wanted to place the battery in the garage, stating it would not impact the use of the garage for vehicles.
When I confirmed the measurements afterwards, I also asked for the dimensions of the bollards and, as it turned out, it would have reduced my already narrow garage door by further 15cm.
I then suggested three more locations (in order of preference) in my yard which were all suitable, but my order was ignored and I had to follow up again as the incorrect location was chosen.

Finally, we agreed on everything. The install was great, the team was professional and efficient.
After install care was also great, Chris solved my problems and the plumber (Jack) was also very responsive.

Over all, a decent experience, but i did consider jumping ship when the sales process was too focused on closing rather than getting me the best solution for my requirements.

Very happy customer

Luke and his team have provided excellent services and delivered a high-quality product to us. The sales process was handled smoothly and professionally, all our questions were properly addressed and we were kept informed of the process. Installation was completed on time and any disruption was kept to a minimum. The system (solar panel, battery and charger) was operating as expected from day 1. High quality and an affordable price

From our first enquiry to completion S&S have been wonderful. Their quote was detailed, well explained and reasonably priced. We started with solar panels only but then went on to a battery and heat pump HWS, all with S&S because they met our every need, even on the little things that always pop up. Their staff gave full attention to us and never faulted, a great group of happy fellows. They use long guarantee products so, please, use their services. Strongly recommended.

Satisfied Customer

I wanted to switch from gas central heating to reverse cycle air conditioning to alleviate the summer heat in Canberra. To do that I thought I would install solar panels with a battery to ease the cost of electricity and to make a contribution towards easing global warming.

Summit & Shore were the cheapest of three installation quotes with the fastest response time to meet a May deadline. They answered all my questions satisfactorily during the site visit and after. The installation of the solar panels, battery and inverter was quick and smooth. Summit and Shore organised a separate contractor to replace the power board with a smart meter at no extra charge. I downloaded the app and can monitor the ongoing performance of the system on a regular basis. I also get monthly reports from Summit & Shore. I will pay ongoing fees to Summit and Shore after 12 months (optional).

I was very satisfied with the installation, although I am not sure the system will ever pay for itself (that’s not the main reason I went ahead).

Bill comparison
In September 2025 my quarterly electricity usage was 1725 kWh for which I paid a total of $638.76 including supply charges and GST.

One year later, in September 2026 (the first quarterly bill after installing solar panels) my electricity usage charge was for 679 kWh. In this period I was given credit for returning 585.65 kWh to the grid. The total bill was $300.80 including supply charges and GST.
The average unit price in 2025 was $0.37c per kWh. In 2026 the average unit price was $0.44c per kWh (there are different prices for different usage periods).
Bottom line: my electricity bill has more than halved in the same quarterly period after the solar installation in a period where heating costs are at their maximum.

I have no hesitation in recommending Summit and Shore for solar panel installation, they are knowledgeable, responsive, quick and efficient.

Great experience, fantastic result

Summit and Shore were great to deal with. They proposed 3 different systems and I chose FoxESS with panels facing east and west to supplement my existing system. The new system was installed in a day. The workmanship was excellent and met my expectations. I was given a good
explanation on how the system would work; S+S have continued to monitor the system after installation and contact me on a regular basis.
But the best bit was when the system shut down at 10pm the day after installation. I sent S+S an email and at 5am the following morning an electrician attended to resolve the minor fault. Full marks for customer service!!!

Fantastic Service from Start to Finish

Summit and Shore Energy recently replaced our old gas hot water system with a new Reclaim Energy hot water heat pump, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Perfect partner

After requesting quotes from multiple installers, Summit and Shore were a head above the rest! Their quote was very competitive, and they were an ease to work with. They answered all of my technical questions and helped customise a battery installation specific to our existing solar setup and household energy needs. Excellent installation experience

Excellent sales/quote process.
Nothing pushy and were always able to cheerfully answer my numerous questions.
There were two on site visits by Jack (sales) and one two days prior by Danny (install manager) to independently check the install plan and ensure everything was ready.

Everyone was polite, very approachable and responsive to questions, and the qualified sparkies did a good job guiding the apprentices.
Four/five people in the garage and another three on the roof had the entire system installed in under a day.
They were punctual, completely cleaned up the site inside and out and gave a good handover.
The STC paperwork, grid connection and the smart meter changeover were all organised for me as part of the install.

I strongly recommend Summit and Shore Energy for their solar / battery and EV charger installation.

Fantastic Installer

We were very impressed from start to finish with the installation of Solar panels; an inverter & battery and a heat pump by the team at Summit & Shore.
They were very knowledgeable of their products, answering any enquiries we had. They gave us a couple of set up options, so we could see what would suit us best.
After the install they organized all the compliance certifications and showed us how the system works.
They also offer an all-in-one membership for real time monitoring and maintenance plan, to ensure optimal performance of the system; that gives us real peace of mind.

A pleasure to the deal with.

Sales / quoting
Jack was friendly and patient and answered every question I had. He designed around our existing SolarEdge system instead of pushing a generic package, and we ended up with extra Jinko panels, a FoxESS hybrid inverter and battery, and a Reclaim heat pump that actually fitted what this house needed.

Installation
Late May in Scullin. They got the solar, battery and heat pump in, were easy to have on site, and came back afterwards to finish a pendant light and the bathroom tastic without any fuss.

Customer service
Follow-up has been good. They sorted the leftover electrical work, and the monthly reports make it easy to see how the system is going (July production was up 40% on June). Local Canberra team. I’d use them again.

A highly professional installation experience

After acceptance of their well-detailed quote, Summit & Shore installed our 30 kWh ESY battery system plus additional 14 new solar panels (30 already installed) and handled all rebates with ease.

The installing team arrived on time, (from 8:00 am) worked very efficiently (ground and roof), kept us informed, and had us online by 2:30 pm the same day.

They even identified and replaced a hail-damaged panel — all on the same day.

The ESY app provides us with excellent performance data, and the office team’s support has been clear and responsive to any questions we have had in relation to what we were seeing on the app.

Highly recommend Summit & Shore for solar and battery installations and/or upgrades and back up support.

Highly recommend Summit + Shore for solar and battery in the ACT

We recently had a 16 kW solar system with a 27 kWh Fox ESS battery installed by Summit + Shore, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.

Luke handled our initial consultation and did a great job guiding us through the options, explaining how different system sizes and battery capacities would work for our home, and helping us choose the right setup for our needs and budget. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and never pushy.

Communication throughout was excellent. We were kept updated on progress, scheduling, and what to expect each step of the way. After installation, they followed up to make sure everything was running as expected and answered all our questions.

Pat and the installation team did a really professional job. The panels and battery setup were very tidy, along with the cable management.

We’re very happy with our new system and the service from Summit + Shore. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering solar and battery in the ACT.

Quality work done quickly

Very happy so far with the install and operation of our car charger. The work was done efficiently, without fuss and the area was left neat and tidy. The electrician was friendly and explained the unit and its operation. Summit and Shore also followed up to see everything was ok.

Exceptional Solar System & Installation

Absolutely outstanding experience. From the very first conversation with Jack, the Summit and Shore stood out for their honesty and genuine approach after dealing with three other companies. The design and quoting process was transparent and practical — Jack focused on aligning with our future path and the system return desired rather than simply trying to secure the sale right now. That level of integrity and communication is rare and immediately built our trust.

The installation was exceptional. The crew were punctual, professional, respectful and extremely tidy, with obvious pride in their workmanship. They used appropriate language so not to disturb the neighbours and knew how to act when on site. Excellent service and communication

Each phase of the installation was excellent. The site visit made a big difference, compared with the original solar installation where a site visit would have made it so much better (instead of the workers turning up on the day having to make unwelcome changes). Everything was explained. I knew when people were turning up.The installation itself was done efficiently.

Great installer, highly recommend

Summit and Shore Energy installed a Sigenergy EVAC charger into my existing sigenergy battery system.The charger is on the other side of the house from the battery but only took a couple of hours and didnt seem to be a problem, which other installers had told me it would be.
Install was clean and the installers were polite and checked I was happy with the location of the charger and cable runs before starting the install.
The company has since followed up twice to make sure there was no issues and I was happy with the install. Highly recommend anybody thinking of installing a EVAC looks here first.

Outstanding product, installation and service from the Summit+Shore team

I spoke with half a dozen installers while researching a new solar + battery setup for our home. There were plenty of products and price points on offer, but what set Summit+Shore apart was their unwavering commitment to quality. I had a very specific installation approach in mind — not the easiest — and both the system designers and installers were patient, thoughtful, and highly competent throughout.

Communication was outstanding from start to finish. From design, to installation, to after?sale support, every step was clear, timely, and proactive. Friends often tell me about installers who provide vague information, confusing pricing, or installation plans that fall apart on the day. I experienced none of that with Summit+Shore. They arrived exactly when they said they would, called ahead, explained the day’s work in detail, and kept me informed of any schedule changes (including a last?minute rain delay) without any fuss.

Our project was complex: a three?phase power upgrade with a new overhead cable from the nearby pole (handled entirely by Summit+Shore), a new smart meter, a full home?backup gateway, 44 panels, a battery and inverter installation at the rear of the property, and minor switchboard upgrades. I was also replacing my hot water system at the same time, and the team integrated seamlessly with the other trades I had organised.

My one special request was that the inverter and battery be installed without unsightly external conduits. Many installers either hesitated or tried to talk me out of it, but Summit+Shore didn’t flinch. It was clear from the outset that they understood the difference between a high?quality installation and the “industry standard” cheapest, fastest and just-barely-compliant approach that so many operators default to.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team at Summit+Shore. Their professionalism, workmanship, and communication were exceptional from beginning to end.

Diligent and professional service

Could not have been happier with Summit + Shore services in the installation of our system.
I was referred to the company by a work colleague which began a comprehensive and intimate planning discussion with Jack (I believe the email chain got up to approx. 40 interactions back and forth and about a dozen phone calls). He was patient explaining the technical matters for my layman level of understanding while always ensuring that I was comfortable in the decisions being made. Jack took me through the systems and brands available, explaining the pros and cons of each and before settling on a concept I was happy with. The installation was ready to implement within weeks.
During the next phase Summit + Shore demonstrated an excessive degree of patience with me as a separate project to install skylights in my roof delayed the installation of the solar system. Summit + Shore were ready to go within weeks of locking in the plan, however I had to constantly postpone the initiation due to the delays with the other project. Jack was entirely understanding of the situation and when the time was finally ready the installation date was locked in promptly.
I was shocked by the large crew (6-8 people) that came to my house to install 33 x solar panels, inverter, battery, EV charger point and all the corresponding wiring. This large crew meant that everything was completed and operational by the end of the day with their head foreman constantly linking in with me. I did have the associated plumber arrive the next day to install the heat pump due to a scheduling conflict, but had they been available the original day everything could have completed in one day. Once their work had been complete the personnel cleaned up after themselves to the point it was like they were never there.
Now I sit in my home, completely self-sufficient in my power generation/consumption. Summit + Shore liaised with our service provider to arrange for the Smart Meter installation so we can earn what we feed back into the grid.
From commencement to completion Summit + Shore were brilliant. I would highly recommend them to anyone who, like me, might be a little apprehensive or daunted by the concept of getting a renewable energy system for your home. They were diligent, professional, patient and meticulous. Thank you Summit + Shore for your services.

Great installation and customer service excellent

Summit and Shore Energy were excellent to deal with. We had been looking for someone who would listen to what we wanted and come up with a system that met our requirements. Many others tried to get us to install systems that were simply way to big for our needs. The installation team was excellent and the customer service was fantastic. Great Team, Terrific System

Their sales rep explained all the jargon, gave us options and was very accommodating to our ideas for a solar and battery system to future proof our house. He helped us customize the final configuration and the process was smooth.

The electricians turned up with their well honed installation team. They were punctual, polite and pleasant to have around for the entire time. They were efficient on the job and motivated to get things done.

We also had a gas cooktop converted to induction for which they managed to install a new circuit around all the hidden edges and corners in the house and a new oven was connected at the same time. These are now working a treat.

They are nice guys to deal with and did a terrific install.

Wonderful experience from helpful professional business

It is my pleasure to review SUMMIT+SHORE who recently installed solar panels and a battery on our house.
I spoke to Luke first. He explained the process clearly, patiently and calmly. He was very informative and it was a pleasure speaking with him. We received a detailed written quote.
Once we accepted the quote, we had a site visit by Steve who was also calm, informative and pleasant.
Ben led the team doing the installation along with Tom and Halawan. All three were cheerful, pleasant, tidy and a pleasure to deal with. The installation went well. I had the app running before they left and could see what was happening with the solar panels and battery.
Then there was a problem later that evening. Sone of our electric lights and power points stopped working. As I understand it, there was a problem with the interface between the new switch board which was modern and more demanding and old substandard wiring in our house.
It is when there are problems that you see the calibre of the people you are working with. I rang Luke in the early evening, and he asked questions to ascertain the extent of the problem. Ben then came back and worked on the problem in the evening. He improved things but there were still some issues. Together we worked out how we could stay safely in the house overnight. All the time Ben was his usual cheerful, kind, pleasant self.
The next day early Ben and Steve were back to work on the problem some more. Again, things improved but there remained an issue with one light and light switch.
There was another visit to replace the light fitting and fan which seemed to be the problem. When that didn’t fix the problem there was another visit by Ben and Tom to deal with the faulty wiring in the light switch. Once they did this, there were no more problems with our electrics. Hurrah. The solar panels and battery worked throughout them fixing of the wiring.
Every interaction with staff at this business was professional, pleasant and positive. We felt appreciated, valued and in very safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble for the people I dealt with.
SUMMIT+SHORE did not charge for all this additional work. We were prepared to pay but they said it was part of the job. I cannot speak too highly about this experience. I recommend the business to others.

Excellent experience with Summit + Shore Energy - full electrification home installation

Knowing little about all things solar and electrification, we reached out to six companies for advice on an all-inclusive home electrification installation, having used Solarquotes as a guide to finding the companies. Summit + Shore Energy was one of the companies we reached out to for advice and a quote. From start to finish with the quote, installation and after-sales service, we had one contact point (Business Development Manager - BDM) from Summit + Shore. Having one consistent contact point during this time really made a massive difference to our customer experience. The BDM visited our home (which some other companies did not do), and patiently answered our questions and provided more detailed information relating to the electrification concepts and component details. We greatly appreciated his attendance at our home, and it quickly built trust and confidence, in Summit + Shore's ability, to provide an installation that was built on quality components, workmanship, and ongoing support.

Following the site visit and quotation, the BDM was always available to answer further questions and provide more detail, which we greatly appreciated. Without doubt, his professionalism and ability to build a trusted and productive relationship with a potential customer was the reason we chose Summit + Shore for our household installation.

The installation took place over 2 days in late July 2026. We were very impressed with the friendly and professional staff who undertook the installation. They were always on-time, explained what was happening, consulted with us when needed, and completed a very professional and high-quality installation.

Post installation, the level of service has continued to be exemplary, with the BDM always available to fine tune the home installation, and for further advice and support, in naviating the complex and dynamic energy provider environment.

Excellent installers

The Summit and Shore team were excellent. The quote process was easy and smooth - I had a very long list of questions and they were patient in answering all of them. I found their quote to be very competitive, and their design of my panel arrays showed they had considered my roof individually, rather than just working off Google satellite images.

The installation itself went smoothly (although they said it would take one day, it did end up taking two days). The team were all polite, punctual, and left the site clean. They ran me through the various elements once all done, but the app makes it super easy as well. For such a big investment, I feel like the team made it as easy as possible for me.

I recently had a solar and battery system installed by Summit+Shore, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the initial consultation with Jack through to the final installation, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with.

I entered the Solar market with little to no knowledge and Jack took the time to explain the system options, answered all my questions (and I had quite a few!), and provided honest advice tailored to my needs. Jack clearly outlined all relevant rebates I was able to claim along with the various HEUF and the ACT SHS loan details, handled all the applications for these, making the administrative side a breeze.

During the consultation process we had semi locked down a system with ESY products, but Jack was quick to provide an alternative system after Sigenergy released a new battery stack and updated pricing on their products. This gave me competitive options in terms of price points and premium products. I went with the Sigenergy system!

The installation crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the job to a very high standard. Steve walked me through the installation process, and everything was left neat and tidy. They ensured I understood how to monitor and get the most out of my new solar and battery system before they left.

I’m already seeing the benefits and have peace of mind knowing the system was installed by a team that genuinely cares about quality and customer satisfaction.

I would highly recommend Summit+Shore to anyone considering solar and battery solutions. Excellent service, great communication, and a quality result from start to finish. Big shout out to the entire team for making what was a daunting venture for myself into an exciting one.

Summit & Shore - an installation well done

I experienced a painless and informative quoting process. Daniel was my single point of contact throughout the process. After several discussions, updates and my numerous follow up questions, I was provided an initial quote with two options for a Sigenergy stack with Gateway and Aiko pv panels. The chosen option was further modified so that it captured my existing usage plus anticipated increased usage over winter plus future proofing, and full house backup.

There was a hiccup in supply of the quoted panels, which resulted in a delayed start on installation day 1. Summit & Shore resolved the issue in my favour with an upgrade for which I am highly appreciative. The installation team was friendly and easy to get along with. They didn't mind me asking questions nor seeking clarifications. Day one ended with the battery stack and gateway installed and the battery being charged by my existing pv system that was AC coupled through the Smart Port in the gateway. The electrical team left their work areas cleaned before departing.

A second team arrived on Installation Day 2 to install the pv panels. They were quite methodical. By the end of the day, the panels were DC coupled to the battery. The electrical team provided a run through of the system and the function of the various sets of switches. On Day 3, the whole system was checked for compliance with the installation standard and tested as being fully operational. The paper work and certifications were completed.

Customer service was excellent thoughout. Post installation discussion and explanation of the various features of the Sigen app ensued. Overall, I was guided and I felt supported such that I did not feel overwhelmed at any stage.

Extremely Happy

We feel very lucky that our neighbor had Summit & Shore do an upgrade for her home solar. She was very happy with the process & recommended them to us. We met the owner that day & followed up with a quote & a personal inspection .
They were very flexible & met our requirements for an appropriate installation date.
When we signed up the process went very smoothly with frequent friendly phone calls & equally friendly & professional installation. We can’t fault the company, the electricians or the installation.
They were all invariably polite, reliable, tidy, punctual & kept us informed of every step.
Despite our shade cover we have great solar production & are extremely happy with the whole experience with Summit & Shore.
We have already recommended them to friends.
