Great Service
Quoting process was easy and thorough with full explanation of the system being installed. The young guys who turned up to do the install were punctual, courteous and worked hard to finish in the day. The grid connection was all done the next day. Operating details and manual were provided Great service!10 October 2026
There are good reasons they are rated top installer!
It started with a very helpful discussion on the the type and size of solar installation and they were very patient with my questions and configuration ideas, in the end went with 10.56kW of Jinko panels and a 10kW Sungrow inverter. This system maximizes the early morning and late afternoon output being placed on both sides of my roof and with the NE and W placement. The first stage of the install was fitting a new meter box to comply with Ergon requirements, increase the capacity and updating the existing meter box to being a sub board.
The second stage was working with Ergon to fit a new attachment point and location for the power wires from the street. Thanks Ergon that was an unexpected cost after their inspector decided it was required! (Reef Solar absorbed their own extra cost for this additional work)
Third stage was the installation of the solar panels, the inverter and a 15A circuit to my carport for plugging my EV charger into.
They responded to my unusual tile roof by sourcing the brackets needed to fit the panels, this ended up being a tough install job as my tiles are thicker than normal so the installation team had a huge day doing the cut-out in the tiles for around 60 brackets.
The installation of the panels and inverter was quick and efficient also top quality everything looks neat and aligned, they certainly know what they are doing. I also liked the drone shots of the complete installation as I wasn’t climbing on the roof to have a look as an older person. Also all parts used were top brand name and quality.
On each visit the installation team were punctual early starters, very polite and friendly and cleaned up and left the site completely tidy. After installation they took all the packaging and rubbish away with them.
They did all the liaison work with Ergon that was required. I was shown how to install and use the Sungrow App. which is a really useful one you can tell so much of what is going on, power generated, exported, etc.
The documentation they provided is top notch as well.
Can’t recommend these guys more highly, they are what you should have when you install Solar, batteries or an EV charger. It was much nicer dealing with the owner and his admin team than a pushy sales person!

Battery and solar installation by Reef solar
recently had new solar panels and a battery system installed by Reef Solar, and I couldn't be happier with the experience.Taroy and his team were professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable from start to finish. The installation was completed to a very high standard, and the team took the time to explain everything clearly and answer any questions I had.
The quality of the workmanship was excellent, and the ongoing support after installation has been outstanding. It's refreshing to deal with a company that genuinely cares about its customers and stands behind its work.
I would highly recommend Taroy and the team at Reef Solar to anyone considering solar or battery installation. Excellent service, excellent support, and a smooth, hassle-free experience from beginning to end.
Thank you again to the whole team!

PERFECT 10/10
Troy and the team at Reef Solar and Electrical were absolutely fantastic to deal with throughout the entire process.Troy gave me numerous solutions/quotes that worked within our budget and he educated me around each option and various products in the market. I left the conversation having a greater understanding of solar and with the confidence I was making an informed decision. Never once was there any pressure to buy and he wasn’t interested in upselling me like many other companies I got also quotes from. Reef Solar came in cheaper for a bigger system AND better products when comparing with 3 other companies plus they are local to Central QLD - this was a no brainer.
I spoke with Troy on the Wednesday and the install team were at my house the following Monday. This team was something else! A great bunch of blokes who seemed very driven, hard working, polite and respectful of my family. The workmanship is unreal, zero damage, no mess left behind, they made sure I understood how the system worked and how to monitor it through the app they downloaded to my phone before they left.
The team also handled the grid connection and all the applications to Ergon etc and I didn’t have to do a thing.
I couldn’t recommend Reef Solar enough! Absolute legends, my experience was fantastic.

A truly professional experience
Reef Solar helped me in understanding what I was buying, the benefits it would provide me both cost wise and environmentally. I had a lot to ask and every technical question was answered in a language I could understand.Choosing the size of system and the type of system felt a little daunting at first but Reef walked me through this decision making process and I came out with exactly what I required.
The install was professional, timely, friendly, informative, clean and smooth.
I’d recommend Reef Solar to my friends when they decide to go down the Solar track.

Goodwe solar
The quote was unexpected as the company initially noted that I was out of their area but eventually asked if they could quote. The quote was comprehensive and better than other quotes that we received. Other than some lag time in the beginning waiting for an install date (which was understandable given our location in respect of the company's location) the install went well. The crew were professional and informative throughout the process. The took the old system away with them when they left. The crew dismantled our old system and installed the new system and battery in about 1.5 to 2 days and it was working the night it was completed. The company organised the grid connection paperwork with Ergon and explained the system and battery workings post installation. Since completion of the install of our system we haven't heard from Ergon to say the process was completed. We have had to dig around to find that out ourselves and as far as I am aware Ergon has no attended to inspect the installation. We are still waiting for the laminated site plan, said to be provided, to install in our meter box. In hindsight, being my first solar battery experience, I would have asked for 4 battery modules instead of 3. This knowledge has only come from experience of overnight usage. In saying all of this we have achieved our goal of not having to pay for electricity since the new installation.

Reef Solar and Electrical Review
I recently had a 13.3kW solar system installed by Reef Solar, consisting of 28 × 475W Jinko Solar Tiger Neo panels and a Sigenergy 11kW inverter, and I've been very impressed with the experience from start to finish. The communication throughout the whole process was excellent. Troy was extremely helpful, answered all of my questions, and provided great advice along the way. The quote was very detailed and everything was explained clearly, which made the whole process easy to understand and gave me confidence in what I was purchasing.
Aidan, the installer, was also fantastic. As my house was still being built and I wasn't at the property during the installation, he actually called me before starting to double-check the location of the inverter and make sure I was happy with it. I really appreciated that attention to detail rather than simply making the decision himself.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service from Reef Solar. Great communication, knowledgeable staff and installers who genuinely care about doing the job properly. I'd have no hesitation recommending Reef Solar to anyone looking at solar.

Fantastic Install from Reef City
I had the pleasure of dealing with Reef City Solar + Electrical. They were fantastic all the way through, and trust me, I was one annoying customer, changing the quotes constantly, asking a bunch of questions, changing my mind, but they just continued to be friendly and answer all my questions and concerns without a hint of annoyance. I have yet to fully see how the system goes and if I need any further help from them. All up to this point has been fantastic. The sales, install and customer service were fantastic.

12 months on, couldn't be happier
We had a solar and battery system installed by Reef Solar & Electrical at our property on Patterson Street, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. From our first meeting with Troy, I was impressed by his professionalism and the time he took to work through the project with us. The quotations were very reasonable, and while I may have been able to find a slightly cheaper option from a Brisbane-based company, there are significant advantages to working with a trusted local business, particularly for a project of this size and complexity.
Our installation was not straightforward. We wanted the solar panels and batteries located at our back shed, which presented some additional challenges. However, Troy and his team worked through these requirements with us and were able to accommodate our needs without issue.
The installation team was courteous, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. As an electrician myself, Troy was happy to allow me to complete certain aspects of the work where appropriate, and the team worked in seamlessly with me. For the components that required their expertise, they were flexible and accommodating, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free.
Another major benefit was the way Reef Solar handled all of the Ergon paperwork and approvals. I didn't have to deal with Ergon at all, which was a huge relief and undoubtedly saved a lot of time and frustration.
The system has now been installed for nearly a year and has performed flawlessly. We haven't experienced any issues whatsoever. On one occasion, I had a question regarding some of the monitoring data, and the team was quick to assist and provide the information I needed.
Overall, we are extremely happy with both the product and the service provided by Reef Solar & Electrical. I would have no hesitation in recommending Troy and his team to anyone considering a solar and battery installation.

We highly recommend Troy and his team for Solar and Battery installations. We received our quote on the day we contacted Reef Solar and any questions we had were answered promptly. Troy was able to arrange the cabling rough in very quickly so that it was completed before our roof was painted and even though this work was quite tricky his team were courteous, quiet and efficient. Panel and battery installation was carried out as soon as the roof paint was finished and Troy’s team took time to explain the system to us and grid connections and interactions with Ergon happened seamlessly.
