We are delighted to share with you our passion and journey to create a unique smart energy service built on a vision to help residential homeowners, commercial building owners, and business operators transition away from fossil-fuelled electricity and outdated technologies to energy-efficient and renewable energy solutions.
Our origin begins back in early 2000 when our founders began life as qualified Builders and quickly recognised the future of home building would be driven by conscious shifts in designing and building residential and commercial spaces that incorporated smart sustainable materials, embraced energy efficiency, and integrated renewable energy.
As an early adopter of change, our founders pivoted toward creating a full-service field force that specialised in providing turnkey end-to-end energy efficiency solutions for homeowners and businesses that were ahead of its time.
Over the last 20+ years, our founders together with a dedicated team have built a recognisable brand built on the back of a service standard that has earned the trust and respect of industry peers, suppliers, and over 2,500 customers throughout Queensland & NSW.
While SGS Electrical may not be as large as some of the big National TV Retailers, our approach is to provide a value for money, turnkey service that suits customers big or small covering legislative compliance, general electrical maintenance, residential and commercial air conditioning right through to large scale commercial solar installations serving customers on the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, Logan & Brisbane regions.

Professional Install with Great Attention to Detail
Couldn’t be happier with the team at SGS Electrical Solar & Air Conditioning. From start to finish, the whole process was smooth, professional and well organised.The installation was completed efficiently and to a very high standard. The team took the time to set everything up properly, including the app and system configuration, and made sure I understood how it all works before they left.
What stood out most was their attention to detail and willingness to answer questions — nothing felt rushed, and the workmanship is excellent.
System is running perfectly and performing exactly as expected. Highly recommend SGS to anyone considering solar.

Excellent installer, great price and quality work
When Glenn called me to discuss my quote he was the most professional of anyone I've talked to, didn't make up problems justifying why I should go with him but just gave me the facts and figures while being upfront with availability and working with my timelines.Was meant to be installed over two days but they got the whole team there at 7am, 3 vans and a few utes with 6 guys to do the job in a day. My property didn't have RCBOs so they installed new ones too on the day for a great price. Battery was done and connected powering the house around lunch and the panels were connected up late arvo. Organised my smart meter upgrade too so nothing to do from my end at all.
Very clean install, professional team from start to finish and a very competitive quote for a quality system. Only one issue is that they couldn't put a panel up due to roof space but didn't communicate that with me, so I only found out after putting a drone up. Not a big deal (15.2 vs 15.7kW) and they gave me a credit for that but would've be nice to know directly.
Otherwise nothing to complain about at all. Will definitely be going with SGS for other properties in the future.

Clean, efficient, confident installation with friendly service.
Our small, 33-year-old house had 17-year-old solar panels - the first of their time, which when new, together produced 750W. Efficiency gradually dropped to about 100W with age, so it seemed to be time to replace them with latest technology, high efficiency panels. We wrote a tender for latest panels and a supporting battery, without specifying equipment sizes, but describing our required system performance data in the tender. SGS then submitted the most credible quote, which met all our tender requirements.Concurrently we had to restore and reseal our roof, which required a separate tender and different company. SGS then came and removed the old panels beforehand and installed the support risers for the new panel system, after which the roof was completely restored and sealed. Following the roof restoration SGS then installed the solar panels and battery, all on one day. 3 persons worked efficiently and quickly and kept us informed of progress.
Once all components had been installed and switched on, SGS populated the Smartphone app with which we can monitor the system, and we could see exactly how/when and how much power was produced, and where it went. They tested all components, applied guidance and warning stickers and then cleaned up the construction site meticulously. All wiring was done very neatly.
SGS completed all works and installations professionally and worked conscientiously, which gave us great confidence in the system, which should pay for itself in about 8 years. Having been in the building industry myself, and retired now, I can highly recommend SGS for this professional work and have awarded them 5 stars.

Great service from start to finish!
Glenn, Alex and the team from SGS Electrical were fantastic to work with from the initial quote, subsequent conversations to the final installation. They were punctual and efficient, with Glenn happy to discuss any concerns or questions I had regarding the solar and battery investment. Excellent installer with very prompt responses
I got three quotes through SolarQuotes and one of them was from SGS. I got a very nice phone call from Glenn who explained all aspects of the quotes. It helped me a lot in understanding the other quotes as well. It became clear that SGS provided the best deal for removing my old solar system, and installing the new solar and batteries. Installation was split in three stages (removal of old system, installation of solar panels, and installation of batteries). I was informed when each stage was to begin beforehand. The installers were tidy and punctual and did a very nice job. Since I was working from home, they gave me a heads-up of when the power was going to be switched off. They cleaned up after the installation, which was very nice. After the installation, I was shown the steps to follow if there was an inverter fault, as well as if we there was a power blackout, how to switch over to the backup system. Overall, I am pleased with the quality of the installation, which is what matters the most for such a large investment.Panel rating: 5/5

So good I went back for more
From the moment SGS came into the picture with their quote from SolarQuotes it was easy and went along really smooth.I was that impressed by the team that I also got them to replace some failing split system air conditioners. If that doesnt say enough, I dont know what else will.

Fantastic installer.
I recently went with SGS Solar, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Their pricing was very competitive compared to other quotes I received, and communication was always clear, quick, and easy.The installation team was professional, punctual, and worked efficiently. They completed the job much faster than I expected, and the workmanship was clean and high-quality. Everything was explained properly, and the system has been performing well since day one.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with SGS Solar and would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth, reliable and well-priced solar installation. Great service and a great company to deal with!

10 months later we asked Sian: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
System works , a bit sad that we can only get 15kw from 19kw , but we understand why and its nothing to do with system design , they power authorities are working against us ...... No we dont have a battery as the numbers just dont stack up for us at current rates of consumption vs costs.
