Awesome installation and sales guys

Our experience with Think Renewable was awesome. Joey, the Sales guy was great, he explained everything to us clearly, was very polite and a really nice person.
Our installation team, Sam, Rhys and Trey were amazing. They all arrived on time, were very polite, respectful, did an amazing job putting everything in and back together and tidying everything up and explained everything we needed to know.

From Hmm Maybe to Yep, Let’s Do It — 10/10 Experience

There were two phases to this whole thing: the sales quoting and the installation.

For the quoting part, one of the team members came over and explained the battery situation like he was telling me the origin story of a superhero. By the end of it, I was nodding like, “Yep, makes sense… let's do it.” Honestly, he made the whole thing click.

Then came the installation. The crew showed up right on time, gave me a quick rundown, and got straight into it. Battery was installed fast, clean, and now it actually looks like a feature piece in my garage instead of some random box. Before heading off, they gave me the full do’s and don’ts — basically a mini?tutorial so I don’t accidentally blow something up. LoL

Huge shoutout to Ben and Brandon for making the whole process smooth, clear, and helpful.

Clear and delivered what they said.

We sat with one of their sales team - Cameron - and he explained the process and benefits of adding a battery to the solar panels we had previously installed. It was particularly important to us to try and have some more certainty around our electricity bill in a season of increasing power costs.

The installation was actually earlier than expected, thanks to someone else cancelling. They worked efficiently and met the deadlines they were facing. They helped with the various adjunct processes, and showed us how to safely switch off the battery should we need to.

Exceeded expectations! Great service.

The sales and quoting process was very informative and well handled. Sam explained all the details in a way that I understood what I was buying and handled the process smoothly.

The installation was also fantastic! Jesse was super helpful and easy to work with. Both he and his team were punctual, polite and tidy. The job was done perfectly and I am very satisfied, Jesse went on to even offer continued support if I encounter any issues which is very reassuring.

Our contact with Think Renewable during the sales and quoting process was completely professional. The team was able to answer all our questions and provided helpful and reassuring information about the system and the procedure involved in organising installation. Everyone has been a pleasure to deal with. The team carrying out the installation were punctual and reliable, completed the job efficiently and kept us informed about the time frame. They kept disruption to our routine (and power supply) to a minimum and I was impressed with their work ethic. They also took time to explain the next steps of the process in being a solar battery owner. We have only just had the battery installed so I am looking forward to learning more about how to maximise the app and the battery for our home.

Smooth process from start to end

Cameron from Think Renewable, who helped us through the quoting process, was awesome to deal with. Super friendly, knew his stuff, and explained everything in plain English. Understood our needs to help figure out what would work best.

The installation was booked in pretty quickly, and the installer was great – kept us updated the whole time and even helped us get access to the app straight away so we could start tracking everything from day one. We had a tiny issue after he left, but we called and he came straight back to sort it out.

The team who handled the bookings were lovely as well – easy to talk to, super organised, and they even followed up after the install to make sure everything went smoothly.

The battery’s been working really well so far, no complaints at all. Overall, a really smooth and positive experience.

Fantastic Company

I am extremely happy with every step from quote to finished job.
Jonny was excellent at explaining everything to me and helped me with every step for the purchase of the system.
I cannot emphasise strongly enough how great the 4 installers were today. Corey, Jake, Richard and Eddie would have to be the most professional team I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They all had clean uniforms on and professional vehicles.
Corey, Jake, Richard and Eddie arrived exactly on time and started the installation within minutes. The team didn’t stop except for a very quick break and were straight back into it. They cleaned up after the installation was complete.
Corey explained how everything on the system works and went through the App with me. Just excellent.
Thank you so much Think Renewable and especially Corey, Jake, Richard and Eddie.

Ontime, great communication, clean install

Fantastic installation from Tyler and Tyson from Think Renewable. They arrived on time and communicated any power interuptions throughout the installion of an inverter and 2 batteries to my existing solar system. Once installed they guided through the App, the inverter and changes to the electricity box.

The installation area was neat and they cleaned up when they left. I would highly recommend Think Renewable and installers Tyler and Tyson. Thanks

Installers showed up on time. Not much conversation but they were focused and knew what they were doing, which is good enough for me. The battery was installed in less than 4 hours, with no mess behind. The installers demonstrated how the app and that was pretty much the end of story without drama nor headache.. Battery and app works like a charm.

Dispute with Think Renewable

Dispute with solar battery installation company (Job TR-4131-7802-1)

Update on active complaint regarding inadequate 5kW AlphaESS system (installed December 24, 2025), which is not fit for purpose and causes daily operational restrictions.

Ongoing Daily Impact (Major Failure under ACL):
The system shuts down the entire household when loads exceed approximately 5kW during normal grid-connected operation (e.g., air conditioning + toaster, vacuum, air fryer, or coffee machine). This has occurred multiple times since December 31, 2025.

This restriction:
• Prevents safe/reliable simultaneous use of common appliances
• Makes the house less functional than pre-installation (grid-only + solar)
• Blocks planned electrification upgrades (electric hot water, induction cooking)

These are normal household activities disclosed pre-sale — the 5kW limit was not flagged as restrictive. AlphaESS case CASAP-120299 confirms an installation/configuration issue.

Latest Development - Further Evidence of Avoidance:
Following legal threats on January 14, 2026, the company have now blocked me on LinkedIn after my public, factual comments detailing the dispute (no threats or harassment). This blocking, after failed intimidation via legal threat, is additional evidence of poor complaint handling and avoidance under ACL.

Legal Threat Quote (for reference):
"If the ongoing harassment of our employees does not cease we will be forced to seek legal action. […] creating a linked in profile claiming to be an employee solely to harass staff members is unacceptable…"

My comments were factual (installation failures, manufacturer confirmation, complaints filed) and protected consumer speech. The profile clearly states "Customer" — no impersonation.

Sales and quote process was done consultatively and very professional. A copy of our current electricity bill was used to determine the best solar\battery combination that will suit our energy need. We were kept up to date throughout the engagement process.

The installers turned up on time and the process was very smooth. No issues till date, the installation was very neat and completed ahead of schedule.

Impressed all round

The salesperson Cameron was first point of contact with think renewable. He was a polite no BS kind of bloke and we were sold after our meeting with him. The installers were the next and they didn’t disappoint. They were punctual, polite and cleaned up every speck. I was very impressed by them. There was a Fijian fellow who’s name escapes me who arrived before schedule and had removed most of the old system before the rest of his team arrived.

This is our second solar system. The first was a total waste of money. This system has saved us plenty as promised.

Would I refer others to Think Renewable? After our positive experience I would gladly recommend
