At the time of updating this page, the solar panel and inverter brands the company works with were unclear, but previous customers have noted among them is JA Solar, Fronius and Jinko. Battery brands include Tesla and Sungrow. UNIfied was also installing EV chargers and hot water heat pump systems.

Severe Miscommunications,Non-Existent Warranty and Poor Support
Starting by getting a quote with Unified Energy July 2025 for a 10kw system, a ducted reverse cycle AC and a heat pump which is a fairly huge package. During the quoting the salesperson went on about the how good their heat pumps were and would suit my very high hot water needs as it had a boost function. After signing and agreeing to finance and installations were taking place, Unified had arranged for a cheaper non-boost unit to be installed. When confronted by this, they said that the boost units were on order and they thought it would be more convenient to install the lesser units (without my consent or knowledge-I have emails to prove this). Mentioned that they cannot swap things like this without the customer's (me) knowledge or consent, especially since I needed and paid for a better model. After weeks of constant emails from me and silence from them, they agreed to swap the unit out for a "cancelled" unit of the boosted model they had just received. There was also a lot of miscommunication with the solar panel installation, each time telling me I needed to spend more on something or another.Now, in less than 6 months, the heatpump has issues with the boost leaving me with unreliable hot water. As the manufacturer they deal with is going into liquidation, they have decided to palm me off to the liquidator and wash their hands clean. This is in contradiction to Australian Consumer Laws which clearly places Unified Energy as the party responsible for warranty.
I spent a good amount of money on solar panels, heatpumps and AC units which were meant to last for years. I cannot recommend this company that will not stand by it's products or honour warranties.

Poor customer service
Was supposed to have batteries installed on 5/2/26, installer came and left as the batteries were not here. The batteries arrived at 2.30pm that day. When I asked him why he doesn't do the wiring, he wasn't interested and left. When I rang Unified they were surprised he left and said they will rebook for the 13th of February. As I didn't receive any more communication I rang to see if install was going to happen. The lady answering the phone had to check and after confirming told me the same installer was going to come back then.I made it clear I do not want this installer and was guaranteed I would get someone else back on the 5th. Seems like Unified doesn't follow through and I'm still waiting for a response. Also shouldn't we be compensated for losing a days work?

Great sales experience, very good installer and stong support
I got multiple quotes from several companies and Luke from UNified stood out as being knowledgable without being condescending. He did advise me to get a 20kWh battery as according to his calculations we would require slightly over 16kWh. I decided to save the $4k and get the 15.8kWh, and it annoys me greatly that he was right and we pay for 1KW per day. The installer (Shaun Irvine sub contractor) and his team were great, and worked in blistering heat. Shaun gave me a very thorough tutorial before leaving, and has been availible for questions in the past year.Support. This is where UNified have proven themselves.
Initially Ausnet would not approve the install, and after a call and an email to UNified, we agreed that they would update me weekly and if there were any updates. And they did, until it was resolved and the system was approved. And checking forums on the internet, Ausnet were causing pain for all new installs.

Extremely Disappointed with the Misleading Sales Process
I had a very frustrating experience with this company. Initially, I was quoted for a 6.6kW solar panel system, which seemed great and in line with my needs. However, once I moved forward with the sales process, I was told that only a 4.4kW system would be feasible, due to “tree shading issues” around my property.Despite the fact that this information was never communicated upfront during the initial discussions, I reluctantly agreed to the smaller system. To my surprise, when the installation was complete, I found that only a 3.5kW system had been installed—well below what I was originally quoted and agreed upon.
It’s incredibly disappointing that the company did not provide any tree shading solutions or alternative options, even though these concerns should have been addressed during the sales process. There was no transparency about the limitations, and no effort was made to offer any compensatory solutions or alternatives.
I strongly feel that the entire process was handled poorly and lacked clear communication from start to finish. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest and reliable solar installation service.

Company hates smart meters
I'm well aware leaving this review will result in the company harrassing me to remove my review again as they believe it's unfair but after three years I am still unhappy with the system they installed whether they say I should be or not. Long story but I asked for a system where I could view our solar usage, a system was installed with no smart meter, I spent months asking for this to be told it's optional and nobody ever wants it, yet every single person I speak to with solar has one and didn't have to ask. After numerous phone calls accusing me of being dishonest they finally agreed to install the $250 meter at cost, which was $850, I can get it installed locally for less so I don't see how this is at cost. I'm stuck with a crappy system where I cannot view metrics of our solar usage or grid return, this is disappointing and embarrassing. This could have, and should have been installed at the time of the original install and the original person I spoke with should have taken note of the fact I wanted to view solar usage and grid return and told me I'd be able to. I don't understand why everyone I speak to has a feature that is never installed or wanted, even non technical people have this feature and didn't ask for it as an extra option. Unified did not provide what I asked for, had I known they don't install smart meters I would have gone elsewhere for a solar system, end of story, don't harass me with a barage of phone calls and emails claiming I'm dishonest, your sales person verbally told me the system would do what I asked for and it doesn't, there is no dishonesty on my part but I consider trying to charge $850 to install a $250 part and claiming it's at cost pretty dishonest, or saying nobody wants smart meters.The "Solution" they pushed on me was a PowerPal, which was pretty useless as all it did was show grid draw, until the battery died this January and now I can't even see grid draw so every three years I need to get that replaced because the company hates smart metres.

Fabulous Installer , on time, efficient and lical
Our install team were professional, on time and dedicated. To mitigate weather problems, a deinstall team came the day before to remove old solar system.New install managed to place replacement system on all north aspect, best for performance. The battery was installed in our garage, and the team helped make space required. All wiring and conducts very neat and finished professionally with everything labelled.
Switchboard upgrade has delivered a new/modern and safe result. Again, very professionally handled and finished.
Delighted with overall install and final system performance. After install service has been quick with any concerns/questions taken care of in full.

Poor customer service
The sale staff did not organise the installer to come at the agreed date and I had to call the staff to organise another installation date. The installer seems professional and still waiting for the solar system to be commissioned.13 November 2022

Fantastic job professional and working perfectly
Sales and quote was done with several different systems to suit my budget. Installation went perfectly and on time and exactly when they said. They were polite, on time and removed all the rubbish as if they weren’t there. They organised all of the application’s for council, all rebates and for grid connection.Panel rating: 5/5

From the first contact to the quote and installation, cannot get better
Giving a quote, installation date, all this while in lock down , and when installed the system was up and running that day. The Fronius inverter generation is fantastic even on a cloudy day.Panel rating: 5/5

Nice installment
Was slow to start process. But great quality system .found quotes ok but just had no knowledge of brands offered.8 months later we asked Ken: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Professional team from Unified Energy
The sales/quoting process was well explained and the Unified Energy sales team was not pushy. Benjamin T. was incredible responding to all my queries explaining the whole process and help me go through the Victorian rebate application which is not easy to achieve.The installation team did a fantastic job on the day.
Unified Energy organised all the rebates and connection to the grid and the retailer.
The price quoted below is my out of pocket after rebates and discount from Unified.

Very poor experience
My experience with UNIfied Energy Services has been poor to say the least. The Salesperson would say or promise anything to get the sale of our residential project. We signed a contract in October and was promised installation prior to Christmas. We were then promised installations which were all cancelled in Jan, Feb, March, April, May - Our system was finally installed in JUNE. It took many phone calls from my end just to get the installation to happen. We were quoted a 13KW system. On the day of installation I was advised they could only install a 9.9KW system. I was informed that the installers would conduct site visits at specific times. On both occaisions, they did not show up. When installation finally occurred, they were unable to supply the panels that were quoted and could only supply a lower quality product. The inverter that was initially quoted was not going to distrubute sufficient power to the house. After doing my own research, I had to request a better inverter be installed.After the installation, I was given no explanation on how the system works - or how to use the App.
Finally after the system has been installed, I am having issues with it. The battery is not discharging correctly and is barely being used. The inverter supplier has done some testing which has failed. There is a connection issue which now needs to re resolved. UNIfied Energy promised they would look into the issue and return my call yesterday. I did not get a call back. I have been advised today that someone will call me back. We will see how long it takes to get my system working correctly.
As soon as they system was installed, I had emails and phone calls demanding payment for a system that was not working correctly.
I has been a big mistake not using a local company that has its own installers - not contractors.
From my experience I would not recommend using this company.
