Upgrade of panels and new battery
The quoting process was very thorough and detailed. I was kept well informed about scheduling for installation. The installation was efficient and the installers were courteous and cleaned up well. The app was installed and I was shown how to use everything. I was very happy with it all.

Great looking solar and battery
Sales rep came to us which I appreciated . Luke was very professional but very approachable . I had a fair idea of the battery brand ( Sigen ) He was happy to explain things if we didn't quite understand so very patient. Installation of solar panels and battery went smoothly and the trades were very tidy and didn't leave a message. Handover was a bit brief for me though but all in all very pleased with our choice .27 March 2026
Solar changeover on existing battery. All good.
Sales and admin very streamlined and efficient. Installers courteous and communicative with no damage done and very little clean up required.In retrospect it seems I may have received a more efficient system if I had installed an integrated battery and solar package. Instead, I had already installed a storage battery offered by one of many companies pushing "cheap" deals related to a government subsidy campaign. The idea to upsize my solar system only came as a soon-to-follow afterthought. I suspect this may have affected the overall simplicity and efficiency of the combined configuration, but the technology and devices are difficult to understand at a nuanced level.
Anyway, all seems to be working well with nearly double the solar generation I had.
As for the quality of the system, I have no means to judge at this stage.

Great people to deal with.
The salespeople were very friendly and informative.We are still waiting for installation due to the loan process and waiting for a time slot which should be getting close.
I am confident their customer service will be excellent once they install it.

Service
Happy with workmanship and crew clean up after installation. Found quote process overwhelming as had 8 companies ring me I am assuming from AI search . Went with best solar and batteries after asking work mates and neighbours who they went with and what quality of work. Best solar and batteries all electrians and trades in house no contractor. Definitely not the cheapest but so far service has been spot on and if the hounor what they will do in fault situation, I have no problem paying little extra22 January 2026
Great installation hassle free
The whole process was quite easy. The sales person came to our house did an inspection of the property and formalised the quote. The team at Best Solar and Battery kept us informed of the installation schedule without excessive emails and phone calls.The installation team arrived on time and set about their work. The team were very friendly and confirmed some of the installation details. The system was installed and the site tidied up. The set up was explained and an app set up to monitor teh installed system.
All in all we are happy with the process.

Rebate made it worthwhile
I used Solar Quotes website for their recommendation of solar installers and was promptly contacted by three solar companies. I read a lot about solar batteries through Solar Quotes newsletter's which was very helpful in making my decision. (I have existing solar panels and inverter) I chose Best Solar and Batteries. On site quotation (I live in the country) friendly, knowledgeable, communication was excellent and the installers were outstanding.I have had the battery (10klW Alpha ESS) installed for only a few days so cannot comment on performance yet, however its operating great.
I am very happy with Best Solar and Batteries and do recommend this company

Local and friendly.
Quoted battery system with existing panels, then stated that the new battery and new inverter could not work with the old panels for some reason. So they then requoted for panels and battery. Installation now done and plans were modified during install.. installer was friendly and professional.Are now working with their after sales support to get the system working without still drawing power from the grid. Is too early to tell if the system is working correctly.

Nothing is perfect
Sales person Listened to my requirements, made recommendations, without pressure. Installation was professional, Price, I believe was justifiable (only one quote) Value for money is yet to be determined, but looks quite healthy.01 December 2025
Some issues after initial installation, but were sorted within an acceptable timeframe
Sales/quoting process was mostly fine.Sales person was pushing me to sign the day the quote was supplied by offering incentives. I declined as I wanted to wait for additional quotes, so missed out on a small discount.
Installation was fine although seemed rushed to complete it on the day.
2 of the 3 solar panel strings had issues causing less power generation and a sun shade that I was charged for was not installed which required return visits to resolve.
Once these issues were resolved, the system has been working perfectly.
Customer service was great. They responded promptly when I raised my concerns post-installation and had someone out as soon as possible to resolve the issues.

Happy with best solar
Helped with information on use,polite, yes tidy very, cleaned away rubbish and old solar panels, very punctual fitted on day they said and arrived spot on time,wasn’t the cheapest but a good salesman sold the package when he visited our home the only one of the quote given who visited the site the others just quoted on line and phone , overall happy with our choice and thank for putting them in touch09 November 2025

Very professional advice, system design and installation.
A very good experience from start to finish. The system was designed after a discussion and site visit with details provided of expected performance, which over time have proved to be very accurate - the system often exceeds the quoted estimates. A fair bit of effort was put into the optimum location of panels on the roof to avoid shaded areas.The installation work was excellent - I work in electronic and electrical engineering (NOT domestic solar) but I can recognise a quality electrical installation job. The job was on time as scheduled.
Assistance was provided to install the monitoring app on both my PC and phone and both work flawlessly.
The battery capacity was a good compromise between size and cost, and with reasonable management, I can run continuously without grid use, except in extreme sun-less weather. I have had the system now through half a summer and an entire winter.
Monitoring data suggests cost savings at current power pricing is close to 20% of purchase price per year.

Excellent prompt service
We sought three quotes.The Best Solar representative was the only person to come to our home.
He discussed our needs, provided options and a prompt quote.
Installation was on the agreed date.
It’s early days but already we can see the savings in grid energy usage and potentially savings in our energy bills.

Should have done this a decade ago
Whole process was very thorough, efficient, informative. Best Solar and Batteries responded positively to all our requests for information and specific actions. Installers were friendly, polite, tidy and worked happily in atrocious weather. All personnel from sales person, installers, administration did excellent work.08 July 2025
SIG Battery is Excellent — Sales Process Was Deeply Flawed
I had a 32.2kWh SiG battery system installed to my 14.8 kwh existing solar panels in mid-April 2025 this year. While the battery itself has performed reliably, the sales experience has been deeply disappointing and dishonest.During the consultation, the salesperson, sold me a 10kWh 3-phase inverter without conducting any proper assessment of my household’s energy usage or load profile.
At no stage did they ask about my major appliances, including the single-phase reverse-cycle air conditioner, or explain the limitations of a 3-phase inverter when it comes to powering single-phase loads.
After complete installation, I noticed that despite having ample of stored battery power, my AC would continue drawing 1.32kWh from the grid when in use. Through several escalations, a senior manager eventually visited and confirmed the issue: the 3-phase 10 Kwh inverter could not supply enough current amps on a single phase to run the AC, forcing the system to draw from the grid—even though the battery was full.
Despite admitting this issue, the company offered no concessions or try to sell this and offer the upgrade. I was told they are not responsible for checking customers’ load configurations. While I understand that customers bear some responsibility to understand their systems, a basic discussion about appliance compatibility and system suitability should be standard in the sales process, especially when selling to customers without any electrical background.
Sales seemed more focused on closing the sale for commission than offering a tailored solution.
Now, four months after installation, I’m facing the cost of upgrading to a 15kWh 3-phase inverter, which multiple independent solar companies have confirmed should have at least been recommended in the first place.
To the SolarQuotes team. I respectfully ask that this review remain published in full. This is an honest account of my experience and I believe it’s important for other homeowners to be aware of potential pitfalls when dealing with sales people from this installer. While the SiG battery itself is a great product, the lack of due diligence during the sales process was extremely poor.

very Professional INstallation
The sales and quoting process was very quick and professional. Several quotation variations were provided very promptly when requested. The sales rep (Joey) for Best Solar made the biggest difference to my decision to purchase solar and batteries from Best Solar.The installation took quite a while from agreeing to the quote and the actual installation date. This was signaled at the time of the quote that there was a significant backlog. In the end the installation occurred about 2 weeks later than I had originally expected. During this time I would have liked a little more proactive information from Best Solar about the status but in the end it was all good.
The guys doing the actual installation were kept very busy for a good 1.5 days and did a very clean, professional job. The installation looks terrific and the site was thoroughly cleaned at completion.
