Platinum Solar Designs services include design, engineering and installation of domestic and commercial Solar PV Systems in NSW, QLD and the ACT. We have key relationships with the world’s best solar manufactures and Australia’s leading distributors to ensure that we provide the best quality solar panels, inverter and components available to us. Friendly, efficient local service.
The 3 quoting companies were all very professional and helpful.The installation was smooth and quick.
Customer service so far has been excellent. PSD monitors my system for me and the fact that their premises is literally around the corner from me means they're instantly available should problems arise - or I can drop around and see them anytime.

Highly recommend
PSD were extremely patient and efficient at all stages of the process- from the first call, the site visit, quote and many questions. Their customer service was A1. The installation was carried out by an amazing team of technicians - in less than a day - who left my front yard how they found it! They did a great job setting up the panels and invertor. I have my solar panels operating for a few days now. Very excited to see lower bills in future and doing my bit for the planet.

A Real Pleasure To Deal With.
I was recommended this company by several people and can I say they did not disappoint. From the start Kristi-Lee was always available to answer all our questions and made the design process very easy. Scott and Brad and their team did a fantastic job during the installation dealing with any issues that arose very professionally.After sales support has been as good as the presales both Scott and Kristi-Lee making themselves available when needed.

Made the Plunge
Trigger pulled on a 7kW system. Let's see how the install goes.10 months later we asked Anthony: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The system is performing great, however, I wish I had space for more panels on the roof.I'm not a huge fan of the Fronius Solar.Web monitoring application as I found I needed more granular information on my power consumption. To get around this I used the Fronius integration with Home Assistant which does the job nicely.
Based on this information I had to do further work on my hot water system power usage with a timer switch / contactor. No point heating the water during peak time of use rates from the grid and not using the solar off the roof.
Now if only battery prices would come down I could start on the next part.

Installation of New Solar PV System
Amazing and professional Business. Quotation was competitive, sales staff polite and helpful, nothing was an issue and any concerns I raised were resolved. I live in an extremely windy location, and an immediate resolution of installing additional roof brackets was provided. Installation was seamless and programmed when suitable to my calendar. Onsite work persons were polite, understood work requirements and explained the installation processes. The PV System was in place and operating on the same day, my property left clean and tidy. Business staff immediately registered the installation with my Electricity Provider for their Smart Meter configuration, plus provided an immediate internet link access to my new PV System via iDevice Application. Post installation questions and service has been excellent therefore I have no hesitation in rating Platinum Solar Designs P/L – Kiama, the maximum rating of 5/5 for this survey.Panel rating: 5/5

Great service
Platinum were great to deal with through the whole process of pricing, installation and post completion. Everything was clearly explained in terms of how the system would work and how the tender price was structured. The installation team arrived on time, were friendly, courteous and professional. i was very happy with the quality of the installation. Platinum co-ordinated the grid connection upon completion and the system was up and running from day one.

Top shelf at a value price
From the beginning of selecting the right combination of solar panel system and battery system to scheduling installation, Scott and Kristi were easy to work with but most importantly took care to NOT overpromise and underdeliver.The install team (Brad-1, Brad-2 & Christian) arrived when they said would, polite, safe, neat & tidy workmanship and made sure to walk me through what they we going to install and then walk me through when completed. No dramas at any time.
Thoroughly satisfied and would highly recommend them.

Works well, Looks great !!
We a had 10kw system installed by Platinum Solar Designs. The whole process went well with Scott and Kristi explaining details before and after installation. The system not only works above expectation, but looks great also.

Excellent from start to finish!
Initial contact was very professional. The team answered all our queries openly and honestly.Pricing was appropriate for the system and the work involved in the installation.
Installation of the initial panels and the Tesla battery later were all timely and went as planned. Great team who were polite and respectful during all aspects of both installation. Explained every aspect of the process and worked with us about where items might best be installed. Throughly cleaned and tidied all areas both inside and out when completed.
All elements were dealt with by the team from dealing with local electricity suppliers to setting up the app(s) (on Apple apps for us) to check and manage the systems.which was great!
Lastly some minor issues were raised by us and the team responded promptly- by text, email snd phone and on one occasion came and checked and replaced a fuse.they have always been more than helpful and extremely prompt .
My wife and I could not ask fur a better service - Thanks Platinum Solar Designs - Kristi-Lee and Scott and their team!

Absolutely faultless from start to finish
Salesperson was on point - well prepared & conversant in every aspect; able to address every concern, reassuring & informed. Coordination of installation date & time was exactly as expected. Installers were punctual, informative, efficient & obliging. They left the entire area spotlessly clean & kept me informed of progress. Customer service couldn't have been better including connection to the grid & accurate prediction of my providers post-installation actions. Excellent service
From my first enquiry to completion of the job PSD we’re helpful and obliging. All aspects of the installation were patiently explained and information and the quote were emailed promptly. On the day of the installation the team arrived on time, introduced themselves and explained what would happen. They were polite and considerate and completed the job efficiently. Proper customer service, like it used to be!
Awesome job! The team could not have been more helpful on the pre-sales stage and the install guys were great. Really neat installation using premium fixtures and fittings and were happy to put the extra effort in to save running external conduit. And not a drop of silicone sealant in sight unlike many other installations i have seen. Couldnt recommend them more highly.

Great work and fantastic service
From initial contact the service has been exceptional. Initial consultation was very informative with a great depth of product knowledge.The quote was very reasonable and when provided it was given with great attention to detail. The timeframe from quote to acceptance to installation was a very quick turn around which were where very grateful for.
Installation was very professional from a team that worked well together. After they left you would not have known they had been there. They cleaned up provided updates as the installation progressed over the day.

Amazing service, impressive design
From the initial first contact, to the install, the service was impeccable. Kristi-lee; made the process very smooth and easy; she is very humble and approachable for all the questions I asked, she took me through every step, and what is to be expected during the process.They are in house installers, so no contracting out, and their team that installed, was very respectful, friendly, as I work from home, they kept me updated throughout the whole day of install. Even the after service has been amazing. Very happy we chose to go with a family owned business that takes pride in their work. So thank you!

Fantastic installation some than we hoped, great service
It was easy to get a quote through Platinum Solar Designs, and from the first phone call with Kristy-lee they were informative and responsive. We went back and forth a few times with different requests as we went along and they suffered through it with good humour! They also removed our old system at no extra cost. Very happy with the system capacity and the Fronius invertor. We got a premium system for the same price as mid-range quotes from other installers. Customer service was 2nd-to- none from day 1. I have already recommended them to friends, as well as staying the process with SolarQuotes. Best decision we made.Panel rating: 5/5

Neat installation, very helpful sales and after sales
Quote was easy process, got 3 quotes.Had to wait 2 months for installation due to programming issues, but was done very quickly with 5 people. Neat installation and tidy solution.
They said they will organise installation of smart meter, inspection and connection to the grid. This has not yet happened, but I'm confident it will.

Fantastic Job

Kristi-Lee was amazing with her knowledge and answering all my questions (and there were lots!). The install was equally amazing, having Scott onsite gave us the confidence of a quality install and you could tell his team were well trained. Quality Installer
I had Platinum install my 8kW Sungrow inverter with 10.4kw of Trina Vertex panels in October 2021.The whole process went very smoothly and the quality of the install was fantastic. The owner was actually present on the day of my install and it was quite obvious from our discussions that he puts pride in their work, unlike many of the cowboys in the solar industry.
I highly recommend Platinum Solar Designs.

Local family business with great service
The quote came punctually. The sales and installation staff were all informative, helpful and friendly. They organised everything including the switch over with my power company and had my smart phone app and laptop software running almost straight away. I could not recommend them highly enough. The installation was done within a couple of weeks of me accepting the quote. The three installers had the job completed in just over half a day. The installation is professionally finished and works perfectly.9 months later we asked Peter: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
12 months on I'm very happy with the performance of our system. A few months in we had a problem with the invertor which turned out to be my fault (I was storing my mower underneath the unit and it sucked in some grass clippings). The installer came straight out, diagnosed and fixed the problem with no charge. That's great backup service.14 June 2022
There is a reason these people are called Platinum
After researching a new solar system for our home, and receiving varying quotes, and receiving excellent designs and presentations, we settled on this highly professional Kiama based outfit.Reputation, ethics and price were the reasons.
From start to finish the process has been excellent, super efficient, genuine quality workmanship and delivered ahead of time with smiles. No stone has been left unturned.
Kristi-Lee Gale, is able to explain complex technical issues and answer questions in simple plain English. The recommendations made were given with fully explained reasons, and the quote and contract arrived within 24 hours.
No deposit was required.
The quote included the removal of a 20+ year old system, and recycling of it to Africa.
The design by Scott Mason is industry gold class, and included up to the moment upgraded to technology to maximise effectiveness and reduce 20 panels to 19.
The timeline of six weeks was brought forward, and the work completed in one day. The three cracked tiles were replaced the next working day.
The team led by Grant Finnigan were highly professional and went out of there way to do the absolutely best installation they could.
No shortcuts were taken, safety was paramount. Nothing was left out or behind.
The contracts and software arrived in the email with clear, concise instructions.
These are people who are passionate and proud of the work they do and the reasons they do it.
In a nutshell, they deliver high quality at value for money in a very competitive market.
I will use a word that I have seldom used before on small local businesses - these people are OUTSTANDING.
That’s why they are called Platinum.
I commend them to you.

Professional service and considered advice
The staff from Platinum Solar Designs were professional and courteous from the outset. When asked specifically about my preference to pay a little more for higher quality systems, they spent time explaining cost effective options that would not compromise on quality. As a result due to their careful and considered selection of panels and inverter, coupled with a truly bespoke system designed to take full advantage of my home location, their quote was less than I expected to pay.COVID restrictions and a lockdown meant that the installation was delayed, but Platinum Solar Designs remained in touch during this time and the installation went off without a hitch shortly after lockdown ended. They use their own installation team (not sub-contractors) and the owner also visited the day prior to do a final check. The team was friendly and respectful at all times and the installation proceeded as planned. Once the system was operational, we were advised by their office that the installation was checked and complete. They managed all ancillary arrangements including registering the equipment, connecting to the grid and liaising with ACTEWAGL to have our smart meter fitted.
A few days now after the installation everything appears to be operating as expected. We cannot recommend Platinum Solar Designs more highly.

Impressive experience; very professional
With Platinum Solar Designs you get a quote from an actual installer, not a sales person. They obviously knew what they were talking about and provided great advice about design and product options. He has an electric car so that was also useful as he shared his experience in whether to get a battery and charging. Very helpful with follow-up questions. The installation team was professional and focussed on quality and presentation of the system. Overall, I would definitely recommend them!13 January 2022

I cant say how great this whole experience has been. This is my 3rd solar system install, and by far the most professional and easiest.Kristi-Lee and the team are easy to deal with, informative and most of all, have done an excellent job.
