Happy enough.
The sales process was easy and I received a quote quickly. The company seems to have a good range of products and was happy to adapt as needed to suit my requirements. The installation was delayed due to delays in the availability of products, but once booked went ahead quickly and professionally. I was broadly happy with customer service although it was a bit hard to get onto anyone after the install.10 months later we asked Kerryn: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Optimized Proposal and Fast Installation
I recently had Shining Solar install solar panels in my home, and the experience was top-notch from start to finish!Professional Sales: The sales process with Shining Solar was exceptional. The sales team took the time to understand my budget constraints and provided a proposal that was not only optimized for cost but also included the best equipment available in that price range. Their professionalism and commitment to meeting customer needs stood out throughout the sales process.
Fast Installation: I was amazed at how efficiently the Shining Solar team worked. 5 engineers showed up and started the installation in a highly organized manner. They completed the entire installation in just 4 hours! The speed and precision of their work were truly impressive.
I highly recommend Shining Solar for their fast and efficient installation and their dedication to providing top-notch service. Kudos to the entire team!

Very happy - would recommend.
Everything was smooth, price was great, components great, installers did a good job and left the place tidy. Only downside was that they made an error when submitting the meter reconfiguration request to my retailer which has caused me some minor hassle/delay with being able to export. Overall I am very satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend this group to friends and family.27 October 2023
All round great service
Shining Solar Energy were one of three quotes referred from SolarQuotes.com.au. Prins was the sales advisor and was extremely attentive and friendly, but not overly pushy. He provided a quote the very next day and politely followed up to clarify the specs and ensure it met my energy needs. The quote was the most competitive of the three I had received and I was able to make a few tweaks through several discussions with Prins to tailor it to my budget. The solar guys arrived as planned at exactly 8am and carried about their business with installing the inverter and wiring, despite the wet weather. They cleaned after themselves and unfortunately due to poor weather conditions had to return another day to install the panels. The entire process was seamless and I was left completely satisfied with the service provided from sales to install and activation. Prins would always return my calls and emails. I would not hesitate to recommend Shining Solar Energy to family and friends.Inverter rating: 5/5

Great to deal with
I found Manny was very easy to contact and talk to and answered all my questions (some before I even asked them). The installation team were great, punctual very tidy and quick. System was installed before lunch time. Josh went through the operation with me and the company organized the whole process of inspection and connection to grid.Thanks Shining Solar!

An excellent process from quote to installation
We took our time and got 6 quotes. Settled on Shining Solar Energy after an excellent experience with Prins from the company. He allowed us to take our time, answered all queries promptly, helped us through the government subsidy/loan application and was not pushy. The system chosen had the longest warranty periods we found (25 years on the cells, 10 years on the invertor) and will accommodate possible future battery and a charger for an EV if required. The installation was done in a day by an excellent crew led by Andrew. Full clean up and no fuss. A professional process from start to finish and we are happy with the outcome.24 August 2023

Shining Solar were fantastic to work with. Jim was great, answering all our questions clearly, and giving us options. Jim also helped us through the rebate and post install connections with easy to follow instructions. Joshua and his team turned up on time, and worked quickly and efficiently to install the panels and inverter. Joshua was also happy to answer questions and explain the process. Solar Panels Installation
The quote process was fast and the installation was done within a week.The installer was efficient and polite and explained the process.
The grid connection had a few issues with Simply Energy.

Highly recommended installer
Their quote was competitive. Without asking I was provide two prices, a budget system and a premium system. They gave honest advice, and an on-site inspection. They installed when they said they would. A fuss free quality installation. I'm very happy.Panel rating: 5/5

professional at a reasonable price ????
I requested solar quote to supply quotes.Shining solar was the 1st to reply and their quote was within the expected price range.
Shining Solar had site visit as well.
I accepted the quote after the rebate was approved.
No deposit required
They gave me an installation date which was in less than a month time.
The installer arrived on the day and I found that they were an in-house technicians. Very familiar to the works needed to be done.
In a few hours, the job is completed.
I then pay the price as quoted.
There were a few rain storms in the last few weeks, no leakage found from the roof.

Flawless installation!
Shinning solar communicated very well and arranged a good installation. The installation was very good and they cleaned up after themselves. They assisted in organising the grid connection and included me in emails to my retailer to keep me abreast of progress.02 May 2023

Good value installation and excellent sales and service
I was contacted promptly and quote was provided with various panel and inverter options. Good follow up on various questions I had. Once quote was accepted the installation was arranged promptly and on the day a very efficient team attended, job done within four hours with everything cleared away and new system ready for operation. Supplier coordinated with CEC and system was certified within a week. Very pleased with the outcome and would recommend this supplier.Inverter rating: 4/5

Fast installation, great price

Would highly recommend
From start to finish I’ve been really happy with Shining Solar. They’ve been really flexible and accommodated for my steep learning curve with lots of advice and many tweaks to the initial specification of the system. The turnaround time from final quote to installation was excellent - especially given the weather in Melbourne at the moment. Really impressed with these guys and would lent hesitate to recommend.02 December 2022
Excellent customer service and professional installation team
I recently install a 6.6kW solar system and had the best experience with Shining Solar. From the initial contact to answering some of dumb questions to accommodating changing design requirements, Jim was always patient, responsive and courteous.The installation team were punctual, completed the work and cleaned up all debris after the installation. They explained everything they were doing making me feel very comfortable.
Once installed everything else was taken care of, very happy with the entire experience.

Great sales and install experience
Jim made it easy and seamless. Shining Solar got me slotted me in time. They were also accommodating to my requirements. The guys who came to do the install were polite, put in the effort despite the intermittent rain and got it done. Even got the roof tile issues sorted. Shining Solar 10kw system for the win!
Great sales person. Really knew what he was talking about and listened to what I actually wanted and put togther a system that suited my needs and expectations.Then the installers that came to my house were very good. Polite, professional near and tidy and also listened to my wants and needs. I wanted certain things done and they were more then happy to do what I asked.
Even when the inspector came to look over the system he acknowledged how good of an install it was.
Once installed they took care of everything else to get it connected, I didn't have to do anything.
The overall experience was just great and my system is performing exceptionally well so far, it has been on now for 2 months and record day so far have been 70.2kwh produced on a sunny day in October

Number 1 to Solar quotes.
Sales person (Manny) was excellent to deal with, nothing seemed too much, also gave me a good deal when I upgraded the panels. The crew who did the install were 2nd to none, they arrived before time, explained exactly what they were going to doing and on finishing did a clean up.Shinning Solar organised everything after the install for the grid connection. All I did was confirm with my provider my plan I was going onto. Very good experience with Shinning Solar.

Review of Shining Solar
Manny was really helpful with quoting, and then adjusting quotes based on my questions and changes.Once I'd signed on to go with them I did have to follow up a few times to actually get install booked in, but it wasn't too bad.
The install was really quick, and someone hung back to walk me through the system too.
I did again have to follow up to get them to organise the inspector to come out, so that I could turn the system on and use it. But again, Manny was helpful when I reached out.
The only other thing I'd note is that they don't pay anywhere near market rate for the STCs (like, 47% or so). But they explained that the install costs etc are generally much lower than most others, so that overall it works out. In my case it absolutely did. But just wanted to make note of that, in case anyone comes across this review after noticing the same thing!
Lastly, my price paid after rebates includes an upfront payment of $1240, and the vic govt interest free loan - I've counted that, as its a loan not a rebate.

Great service all round from initial quote to installation
Sales manager very professional and helpful in lodging documents for Victorian Government rebate and interest free loan. Installers were polite , broke no tiles and were finished soon after lunch. Inspector visited and passed the installation 7 days after installation . Pricing was very competitive so I am happy with how the process of getting solar for our house,17 February 2022
It was wonderful to have such a good experience.
I am just so pleased with Shining Solar that I wanted to share my experience with anyone considering solar power. I have had such bad experiences with trades recently that it was wonderful to have such a good experience.Manny gave us our first quote and he was very pleasant and informative, but we shopped around a bit before we came back to him. His quote was competitive and he was always very easy to contact and clear about where the expenses were with an itemised quote, which many other companies refused to provide! This gave us confidence that we were paying an appropriate amount and it empowered us to chose which panels and inverter suited us because we knew the price difference between the different components. He was very patient and made many revisions of the components and panel layouts to fit with our preferences.
Andrew came to perform a site visit and he impressed us with his calm, knowledgeable and "can-do" attitude. Similarly, when the panels were installed, Andrew returned with Joshua and 2 other fine young men (sorry I don't recall your names) who were all polite, clean and hardworking. I'm no expert but the work they have done looks neat and solid to me.
I thoroughly endorse shining solar and in particular this team.

Quick response and generally a professional and quality install
Work was performed over two separate days. One was the installation of the inverter and the framework for the panels. The other was panels and cabling. All went well, and two panels needed optimisers which has not been planned for but were added at no extra cost. Few tiles were broken but that is likely and understandable. The only issue when the inspection came was some zinc spray had been missed but this was remedied the same day so full credit to them for handling this promptly and efficiently. Their quote was similar to the others but their application showed a little more thought. I up-specc'd the inverter from a Growatt to a Sungrow. All in all I would recommend Shining SolarPanel rating: 5/5

Manny at Shining Solar from the first conversation I had with him was very informative, always available on the phone to answer many questions I had.In the end it was the best priced quote for a large solar system, we were also upgraded to better panels at no extra cost.
From the book in date to installation it was seamless, very nice proffesional workmen cleaned up any mess they made.

Good installer happy with work so far.
Great experience
Jim from Shining Solar was very helpful and keep us up to date.. The process was interesting but he helped us through it. Andrew and the install team were punctual friendly and very efficient .The inspector has already been and all is good.I would definitely recommend Shining Solar/ Jim and the team if you are looking for solar. He even let us know before we went ahead that there is No feed in tariff currently available in our area so unless we were home during the day solar was a financially sound investment at this time but as we are retired it was still a good idea for us as we use most our electricity during the day. So to Jim and the team -Job well Done.!! Regards Helen Cook
