Good communication and installation
Out of the 3 quotes, Sunbuilt were the only ones to deliver a quote with the requested solar and battery package, and also followed up to find out if I had any questions, including a site inspection.The installation process was prompt and the installers were polite and professional. Some changes were required from the original design, including some panel and the battery location, but the reasons for this was well explained by the installers.
I had some questions post-install and Warren promptly called me back to discuss.

Great installer
Sunbuilt solar gave us the most competitive price, and the best advice. Their communication was good and their installation done in a pleasant, efficient and tidy manner.The installation included installing an induction cooktop as well.
We would thoroughly recommend them.

We took the plunge
The overall process was good with all 3 providing competitive quotes.One of the main reasons we went with Solar built was their quote was the only one out of the three to provide what seem like a realistic payback period. The entire process with them was excellent.
Tradesmen turned up on time and all the necessary interfacing with our provider was undertaken by them.
All in all it was a very efficient and effective project.

Start to finish excellent job fast and good guys even after sales13.3kw system looks great
The interest free loan is a bonus especially when your on a pension, if it pays for itself and reduces our electricity bill bigger bonus

An excellent Canberra based solar provider
Warren and the team at SunBuilt Solar did a great job of educating me on the options available – a big roof (finished up with 48 panels, multiple inverters plus battery) system has many options! Pricing was very competitive and their design superior to any others (of 14 quotes). A problem with the availability of the quoted panels was quickly rectified, with a number of options provided, resulting in no delay to the schedule. The installation team did a great job and walked me through the system on completion. A minor fault on an inverter presented on the first weekend and I sent Warren an email, expecting a reply on Monday. I got a phone call with the correct rectification advice on Sunday morning. Outstanding service! I heartily recommend SunBuilt as an excellent Canberra based solar provider.Panel rating: 4/5

Sunbuilt Solar ticked all the boxes for quoting process, installation and customer Service
Sunbelt's quote was comprehensive, David and Warren providing answers fully every time we contacted them. The quote price was excellent for what was installed. I checked the reviews of each item online, finding that all parts were high in reviews. The installation took less than a day and we had power stored in our batteries by the end of the day. David or Warren (sorry guys memory is not so good) contacted and said he inspected our system and realised that we were short one battery, next day it was installed, above excellent for after sales service.Panel rating: 5/5

Great, local (Canberra) installer
After having little luck with the companies first proposed to us thru Solar Quotes (NOT the fault of Solar Quotes ... they were great, just the suppliers provided were not up to spec) I did some extensive research looking for specifically local suppliers to get ideas, information and eventual quotes.Armed with some of the great information on the Solar Quotes site, along with a heap of positive reviews from various other sites on the 'net I identified two specific companies I felt were good. Both companies took time to listen to my needs then offered a number of options and configurations both with and without batteries. The final decision was difficult however I ended up going with a small, local supplier "Sunbuilt Solar".
Warren and his team were responsive, extremely knowledgeable and in no way pushy. The quoting process was painless and in fact they happily made minor changes to the initially suggested configuration so we got exactly what we wanted and without any unnecessary add-ons.
Installation was booked for 7-8 weeks time due to lead-in for the battery and this was more than acceptable. However, I then got a call from Sunbuilt about a week into the waiting time offering to install the system within the next week as circumstances with one of their other clients had changed and so they now had the equipment available and so they were happy to move me up the list to save me having to wait.
Installation team arrived promptly at the given day/time and worked solidly to complete equipment install within two days. A couple of other followup visits to label everything and to commission the system and we were all up and running, connected to the grid, in under a week.
System is now operating perfectly and by monitoring everything via the wireless network at home we can already see that we are benefiting greatly even in the middle of winter.

Nice battery-solar system with early installation
The installation went well and I am glad to order the system early to avoid bottleneck from July as advised by Solar Quotes. The installation includes a 24KWh Sigen battery and a 4.8KW solar system to add to my existing 10KW solar system installed a few years ago by the same company.The battery was activated on 01/07/2025. It works well so far, but mySigen app only reports electricity generated by the new 4.8KW solar system. The company said they will come back to fix this issue.
The installation team from JY Electrical & Engineering was very friendly and discussed a proper installation location in my garage.
