A Great Solar Storage Battery Experience
After the initial contact and visit to my location, I promptly received quotations from ZECO for three suitable battery systems.I researched each system and compared the costs with other quotes and asked questions, which Mark Spicer answered to my satisfaction, and decided to accept the recommended Tesla system.
Following a long delay in obtaining a loan from VicSolar, during which ZECO support was helpful and patient, a date for installation was set for early December.
However, due to an unusual rainy November and a high demand for installations, the installation date was changed to late in December.
The process took place on the appointed day, and Rick did a professional job with the installation. A technical glitch prevented grid connection on that day, but this was overcome the next day, with Tesla support. ZECO also helped to apply for a rebate via the Tesla app.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the whole process and very happy that I chose ZECO for this project.

No pressure, Great knowledge great value
Initially off to a bad start with the Sales person not turning up, however when rearranged he was extremely knowledgeable and spent all the time we needed. He listened to what or future needs and goals were.We asked for a couple of alternatives which were both good options and good quality and a good price one of which we chose. Sales person was always happy to take my calls and questions. He was very helpful explaining the process for sole rebates and loan options.
The original sales person then left and Zeco were very pro-active in making contact to ensure we had an account manager.
The panel design on the roof is well placed and provides optimum efficiency.
The inverter is well placed and it was encouraging to discuss where things like the battery and/or the EV charger may go in relation to it should we want one.
The installers were very efficient and organised as well as approachable. Minimal mess and a tidy job.
It took a few days to get account created so I could monitor the Solar and an application to be put into United Energy to initiate compliance check.
All in all, it was a very positive experience and we would definitely recommend and got with Zeco again if needed.

3 Phase Solar System
After many quotes and many phone discussions a friend recommended Ian Lilley at Zeco. Ian then had Pat Briscoe consult with me. Pat was happy to do a site inspection prior to quoting as the job was quite complex (many other companies did not offer this service).Many quote variations later Pat and his team came up with a plan that I was completely satisfied with.
The job was scheduled quickly and the installers were extremely prompt and tidy and all was completed at a minimum of fuss.
I am a very satisfied customer and gladly recommend Zeco Energy to all.

Fantastic customer service,support,installation.
From first call with Rhys, who quoted and changed system details for me when I asked. He was friendly and available to answer any questions. My installation was a bit challenging, due to being a double storey with flat roof, however Vincent and his team were amazing. They were polite,friendly and professional. Installation took 1 and half days. Zeco customer service was excellent, they were always responsive and helpful. System was installed one week, inspection and turned on following week.23 November 2023

Great service from start to end
Out of the several companies that provided quotes for our solar installation (3 from SolarQuotes, 2-3 from external), only ZECO that made time to actually come to our property, and assess the feasibility of the installation. This means that they can give a more accurate quotation and proposal.This turns out to be especially important because not only our switchboard is north-facing, it's also not shielded (no shade), and there is a hot water system nearby, meaning that the inverter & battery needs to be installed somewhere else - something that other installers wouldn't be able to pick up just from satellite photos.
Patrick from ZECO explained the process very clearly, providing a lot of information, as well as options from budget to top-of-the-line with pros and cons. He showed his own solar install, some learnings from his own experiences, as well as the importance of properly sizing our installation. He was more than happy to answer any questions, even after the site visit. He never once pushed for upsells or anything similar.
Although the quotation used a lower rates than offerred by the electricity provider, Patrick understood and explained to us that we were able to void the contract if we choose to do so. This coupled with site visit and no upsells basically what made us decide to go ahead with ZECO. The fact that we chose to go with QCELLS all-in-one solution, and ZECO is a QCELLS is a bonus.
The ZECO team kept us updated in every single step of the solar install, from when to apply for the VIC rebate, the installation process, what to do after, and so on. The installation team was punctual, professional, and very tidy. Although I am not an electrician, I can see that the panels were installed very neatly.
After the system was installed, the ZECO team still continue to answer any questions that I had about the install, feed-in, grid connection, and even helped to troubleshoot a minor issue.
Few weeks in and we can 100% see that our system was properly sized, and works as expected. Overall, we couldn't be happier. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend ZECO to others!

Fast and Easy Installation
Sales and quotation process were excellent. Zeco sent someone out to inspect the site.All questions were answered and suggestions given.
Installation was punctual and not as tidy as expected.

Zeco Energy Shines Bright: My Easy Journey to Solar Bliss!
After getting quotes from 5 solar companies—3 from solarquotes and 2 from elsewhere—I dove into weeks of phone calls, messages, and emails discussing panels, inverters, and batteries. It was a bit of a journey, but after careful research, Zeco Energy emerged as the perfect fit with the best bang for my buck.Zeco Energy went above and beyond in setting up my 13.2kW solar system with QCells panels, a SolarEdge 10kW inverter, and a SolarEdge 10kW battery. System working fine
Sales process was fine and rep was knowledgeable. Installation guys were friendly and efficient but left some mess and damaged plants. Application to our retailer was submitted nearly 2 weeks late so still no FITs being paid. Not a big deal but when they tell you it’s because they were busy it’s a bit ordinary.09 September 2023

Very Happy Solar Home
The process from Solar quotes was much easier than trying to source individual companies fro quotes & having to repeat what you "think" you needed. First Installer called within 6 hours followed quickly next day by second Solar Company...the third didn't contact us at all, although when prompted by a reminder from Solar quotes immediately got in touch and apologises to "losing" the lead and within 24 hours had also quoted.My only concern was there was quite a wide divergence in quality of equipment proposed and therefore also cost...we decided on quality with extendable options for EV, Battery or extra panels down the track...the system chosen was superior and not even offered by the other companies, so there was a lack of apples v apples.
Zeco very supportive along the way and very responsive to our questions, queries & adjustments!! to the scope...very accommodative. The Install team of Ryan Bulmer were very impressive...quality install, all completed within 5 hours and very polite and informative...our Inspector arrived the very next morning so all good to go within less than a day!!!
Now we only completed yesterday so unsure on grid connection & advising Energy provider, but based on efforts so far have little to be concerned with!!
Thanks Ian & Charles at ZECO and Ryan of RTB Electrics of Somerville we are sure we will have something that will last the journey & help alleviate this huge bill increases everyone is now facing!!

ZECO, a quality company with good communication and service
I found ZECO to be an efficient and quality solar supply and installation company to deal with. The whole process was simplified by them and they were always informative about any queries I had.Our installer, Habib, was very good. He was informative, helpful about any questions I had and was well organised. He also helped me to install the app into my phone and showed me how to operate it, very grateful for his help.
Overall I was very satisfied with our dealings with ZECO and I could not be more satisfied.

Great sales person, terrible follow up by installation team and Nectr
This review is a tale of two different experiences.We dealt with a sales person called Rhys, who was absolutely fantastic. He patiently explained the whole process, and answered all of my questions (thanks to Solar Quotes for arming me with the information that I needed).
Once the installation left Rhys' capable hands, the process was terrible. Zeco work with (or are the same company) an energy retailer called Nectr. My account wasn't created properly so it took more than 3 weeks, and getting Rhys involved to have everything fixed up.
It took 3 months to have the installation done (from March 2023 to install at start of June 2023), and then another 12 business days to have ESV do the inspection to turn the system on.
I provided feedback to Zeco on their lack of communication and my subsequent frustrations and was met with terrible customer service as a response - both blaming things that were outside their control, and informing me that the delay was due to me receiving an offer that wasn't on their system and that they wouldn't be offering these type of bundles to customers in the future (ok?). All I was after was an acknowledgement that the process hadn't gone smoothly and a commitment to follow up in the future.

Best company to deal with
Their customer service was a real deciding factor for me as they were by far easier to deal with than several other companies I had previously dealt with. Having been through the quoting process a few times previously, I found this company the most helpful by far. They answered all of my many and varied questions and altered their quote to satisfy my needs without hesitation.They never baulked at any time with the challenge of what turned out to be a far from simple configuration and subsequent installation which has been now completed to my high expectations.

Great installation of TESLA Powerwall 2
We asked ZECO to put in a Tesla Powerwall2They were excellent to deal with from quoting process, installation all the way to post-install support.
Rhys was my primary contact from start to finish, he takes ownership and responds promptly to queries (phone, sms, email) and keeps the momentum going. Communication was a good balance with the right amount of information without over-explaning.
Janak looked after all on site matters including delivery, installation and clean up.
With the one post-install query, Janak came on site to successfully re-validate the system behaviour and answered any questions we had for him to our satisfaction.
The entire team is friendly, knowledge, polite and punctual.
The price was reasonable, we went for a few quotes and the installation is definitively value for money.
I would not hestitate to engage ZECO, Rhys and his team again for any future work.
PS: Some fields in the solarquotes review are mandatory like System Size. The work was only to install Tesla PW2, we already had solar panels and a 5.0KW Goodwe inverter.

Extremely happy Zeco.
Salesman came to my home. Explained everything in language I could understand. Answered my questions even though they may have seemed silly to him. Installation was above what you would expect in todays climate. Very tidy, cleaned up any mess they made and when the man came out before connected me to network actually said it was one of the best installs he had seen. Highly recommend Zeco energy
I sought quotes from 5 different companies, and with Zeco I felt like I was getting advice rather than being sold a product. Ian from Zeco took the time to talk me through the available options and the pros and cons of the different options. Zeco was also very competitive on price.Installation of the system was very professional with everything done very neatly and cables hidden from sight. Post implementation support has also been great.

From the start of our first phone call to zeco we where treated very very well they spoke to us so that we could understand everything. They explained the best battery & panel size of the system that would best suit our house they gave us the choice of two systems & did not try to over sell to us witch we were very happy with. The instalation team were savy electrical & solar in Wollongong the whole team were fantastic very good trades people very polite & helpfull all the way through the install & very clean I would recommend them to everyone. The Zeco guys came out to talk to me and survey the site whereas the other vendors engaged in email tag and were not very responsive.The sales, quoting and installation processes were prompt and efficient, especially as everything needed to be installed before 30 June to receive the full battery rebate.
Zeco took care of the grid connection issues.
There were the inevitable hiccups along the way but the Zeco guys were responsive and sorted them out in a timely manner.
I liked the quality end to end QCELLS solution: panels, inverter and battery.

So helpful and patient and a great price too.
The whole experience was very professionally handled and courteous. Of the installers who are not trying to rip you off with cheap panels, these guys were the cheapest and were happy to come out and spend the time to talk to me. Others just rushed me on the phone and did not want to come out. I found this odd as this is a big $ transaction. I may only pay $3K due to rebates from the government, but at the end of the day these suppliers will get around $5K. So I was not really happy with companies that shied away from coming over to have a look.The advice I received was practical and did not push for more expensive solutions than I needed.

Zeco Energy - Great to deal with
Zeco Energy were terrific from start to finish throughout the process. Good communication through the quote process, listened to what I wanted, and adapted to fit. Installer did a neat, tidy job, was punctual and careful. Grid connection was all done, and even the inspector commented to me about how good a job it was
