The company offers solar/battery supply and installation services (and has offices) in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.

Professional Solar and Battery Installation with 0% finance option

Sales and quotation process was quite straight farward...Installation was very professional and the customer service is awesome.

Especillay the 0% finance option that they offered gave me an option to proceed further as I was paying almost the same amount of money towards the electricity bill...and it made sense to proceed with 0% finance and pay little extra to get solar as well as battery along with it.

I already had a 6.6 KW solar panels installed on my roof and ADS Solar have added another 13.3 KW on top of this to make it a 20 KW solar system and also installed 30KW battery to make it a complete system. They have used the existing inverter and added another inverter which came along with the battery and it was very seemless.

Overall professional installation and customer service is awesome and are very quick in getting the things sorted.

Quality work on installation and worked well from start.

Quote process was helpful and not pressured allowing time to compare different systems. Installation wait time was not that long considering the high demand. Installers did fine and careful work. Only issue was that the inverter wasn't delivered on time and they needed to come back to finish a few days later.

Thorough sales with quality installer contractor

The sales team was super responsive, made it very easy, answered all my many many questions and helped me through the process.
Install was tidy and clean. Installers subcontracters were knowledgeable and helpful.

Good

The sales and quoting process was smooth, clear and very professional. Everything was explained properly, and I always felt confident with the information provided.

The installation team was fantastic — polite, punctual and very tidy. They completed the job without any issues and kept everything clean throughout the process.

Customer service was outstanding as well. They helped organise the grid connection after the installation and took the time to show me exactly how to use the charger. Really appreciated the extra support.

Had Naveen from ADS Solar quote to replace our existing solar and battery system.

We ended up going for 10kw Jinko panels + 40kw Anker Solix battery.

The connection authorisation was very quick and the team had the system installed within the week.

The installer, Thy, and his team were great. They did a great jog getting the old system out and new one installed within the day and cleaned up after themselves. They even installed canopy covers on the inverter to help minimise direct heat!

Overall, happy with ADS Solar and can recommend if you're after a premium system.

Excellent service and professional all the way

ADS Solar install based on neighbour's reference and has been a great decision.

Right from get go, loved the experience although one would expect their Sales team to be pushy. In hindsight, I can now see that it is the ADS Solar team's drive and interest to understand what a customer is after and customise a solution accordingly.

Anker Solix 2 battery has been working well with savings on the bill straightaway ($300 to nil, a month since install). Excellent workmanship with installation and also very thorough and professional.

Trusted retailer and happy to be a returning customer

2025 Update : Very happy with the team as usual, as a returning customer, I just had a new battery and additional panels installed and the team was very helpful sizing the new syetem to work with the current system.

Installation team was also very helpful and did an amazing job.

2021 Great service and quality install with well know brands , was refereed by a colleague who’s done his system many years ago, I have went with ADS solar as they are an established company with a good feedback from friends and family using ADS, which gives me peace of mind if I ever need anything done within the warranty period.

20kW Anker Battery

From the request of getting a quote, the sales team was polite & punctual.

Once the decision on what sort of battery capacity was required and that the price was reasonable, the Installation happened within 2-3 weeks of me giving the deposit.

This was a pleasant surprise, because the other quotes i got said that upon the deposit being paid, there would be at least a 2 month wait.

Since Installation, I have received 2 phone calls from ADS Solar, asking me if the battery is performing well. This is what customer service is all about.

Competitive pricing, great customer service and neat installation.

I found ADS Solar to be very competitive during the sales process. Ankit, (the sales person,) explained the process and was very helpful answering my many questions. I selected the Anker Solix X1, 25 kwh 3 phase battery. The installation went very well. The two guys were Mahdi and Favid. They did a great job on what was a difficult installation, due to the design of my house. The cable runs were twice as long as a conventional installation. There were also 3 additional meter / circuit breaker boxes installed, as there was not enough room left in my switchboard. The installation was done on Saturday 20th October and the guys left everything clean and tidy. The inspection was done first thing on Monday 22nd October and the battery activated. The Anker app is fantastic, you can see what the battery is doing at anytime. Since the battery has been activated, I have not used any power from the grid. All my power comes from my 10kw solar panels, backed up by the battery. In conclusion, I would recommend ADS Solar to anyone contemplating solar power.

Took the money and no refund

Signed up for an Alpha Ess hybrid system to my existing solar panels
They were explaining everything wrong but took my deposit anyway.days later when I realised how much they have no idea what they are talking about I have cancelled and they promised to refund my money

Poor panel placement. Excess charges for things they didn't need

Got an install done by these guys. Were not interested in discussing specifics in panel placement. Just wanted me to agree by saying the installer would be able to put panels where I wanted once he's there. Charged extra because the inverter had to be on a different wall, then ended up installing on the same wall as meter box. Upon completion have said there is more room to add panels north facing. Have installed 4 panels north with room for what I believe would be another 4 at least and 12 facing east south east. Surely maximising panels facing north should be a priority.

Simple. Efficient. Fast

Surprisingly ADS Solar was a delight to deal with. The installer was super efficient and got the install done in a day and operational. Very happy with the apps and I watch them daily to see how my system is running. Overall super happy with how quick they got install done after I gave the go ahead and the product I'm left with. Also love I have black out protection with my battery that will get us through the night.

Very unhappy with ADS solar, poor customer service, since installation was working only few months out of 2 years, always faults, no arrangement for repair, really worst service, really waste of money and time.

Trusted and reliable service experience

This was my second installation by ADS Solar. Whole experience from quotation to installation was great and very professional. I had a water leak from roof after installation, because my roof tiles are very old and installation might have damaged my fragile old tiles, ADS solar repaired them professionally. Really appreciated.

Pathetic customer service

My Growatt inverter failed within nine months of installation. It took me 2 weeks, multiple phone calls, email, and escalation to get a replacement inverter. Now, I am following up with their team for the last one week for the installation of the replacement inverter and the team is "trying" to coordinate with the installer to get the job done. I am waiting for their call since "today". Moreover, the 6.6KW installation is generating only 20kW on a good sunny day. Strange isn't it.
I will not recommend them ever to anyone.

Failed Installation with Zero Understanding about Solar Installation

The sales and quoting progress went smoothly, ADS Solar positioned themselves as the experienced solar installer in the local area, I bought that idea as I am intending to avoid the cheapest solar to start with but horrible and expensive installation to end up.

The first visit by them was a fail, they turned up 8 am in the morning and saw terracotta tiles and said "oh, we do not do terracotta jobs" and they left with me wondering "experienced installer hired sub-contractors to install, and cannot even send the right sub-contractor?"

I am fine with sub-contracting, but ADS Solar should have known the roof tile type and sent the right contractor. This shows their lack of experience, false statement by them.

The second visit was supposed to be done by another contractor, they delayed the job and claimed the warehouse queue is too long, they told me they will arrive 7am, 8 am, 10 am, 2 pm, 2:30 pm, and ended up not coming at all. I stayed at home for nothing.

The third visit was by the same contractor, 3 people team with a hired truck and solar panels in the truck, the first thing they hit me was "roof angle is too steep" (I got standard 22 degree like all houses around here), the second thing was after the inspection up in the roof "we cannot fit the panels you bought" (ADS told me it is fine?), and the third thing is "they do not have the equipment to do the job" (Did ADS just outsource to another ill-equipped sub-contractor?).

The next call I get from ADS solar was "there needs to be another $1,500 to complete the installation as your roof is not Colorbond".

That went from December 2020 to January 2021, and I am sitting here losing my STC rebate after 11 calls from ADS (4 sales calls, 3 calls about installation after I chased them twice, 4 calls from accounts asking me to pay in full).

In short, ADS Solar is not experienced in solar installation, does not have proper installation team, but they claim they are all that.

I hit the jackpot with the worst kind of farce.

Dishonest and wished I went elsewhere

My experience with ADS Solar was poor from the sales team to management. ADS Solar was dishonest and misleading throughout my expeirence. To say this company failed to meet my expectations would an understatement. I'm not going to go into detail, as I would be writing for awhile. My advice would be to keep looking.

Had an overall great experience with ADS Solar, from Priyanka who was most upfront and helpful in quoting the system; Ryan who organised the install and finally to James and his team who were truly professional and on top of their game during the actual installation. This company has caused absolute upheaval and distress in our lives. I would note recommend them to my worst enemy. Follows is a list of reasons not to engage this company following our experience.
1. Promise an installment date, doesn't happen. They demand money up front before installment, so they will install when it is convenient to them. Not the consumer.
2. They engage or contract to electricians, who then engage labourers to assist with the installation. Unfortunately for us our installation resulted in several broken roof tiles.
Due to broken roof tiles, we have now had to replace ceiling in dining room, also our WIR was damaged. Still waiting for the go ahead to repair this ceiling and cornices.
They give false promises (Amanda in office) about sending technician to our home to repair broken tile under panel. I try to explain this has to be addressed before we can
replaster ceiling in WIR. We are already out of pocket $1,400.00 for the payment we reimbursed plasterer for our dining room.
3. Almost forgot, we, not ADS had to engage a Grade 3 electrician to ascertain why solar power was not working......ADS said our meter was the fault (it wasn't) so we are out
of pocket another $300.00.
4. Our installation was completed 13/2/2018. We still didn't have solar power until mid April 2018. ADS just advised us to ring Ausgrid. The problem wasn't with Ausgrid it was
with ADS Solar.
5. This Company is sitting pretty taking money, subcontracting to installation electricians, and I believe maybe some of these electricians aren't up to standard. The electrician
who did our installation is no longer with this Company.
6. I have been more than patient with this Company re our situation. They are not prepared to come to the party, now forcing me to take action against them.

Overall was a smooth and pleasant experience dealing with ADS and their sales representative Priyanka. Always available to help and answer any questions we had.
Everything was clear from the start and well explained in a professional and friendly manner. Reasonable price compared to other companies for the same quality panel and inverter.

ADS Solar is deceptive. Sales person will sell you solar system but when comes to delivering no one responds until you get frustrated and terminate your contract.

Things to look out for
1. What they quote and what they get you to sign in contract is different & there excuse would be these are standard documents and emails. Don't fall for it else you would be sorry later.
2. They would ask you to make full payment a day before installation - don't do that mistake else you may lose all of it
3. They will promise you a date of installation and won't turn up
4. If you get frustrated and terminate the contract they will advise you with the penalty of 20% cost of the invoice.
5. They have mastered the art of conditional listening and ignoring your emails till the point you know you have lost your money
6. No inspections, no approval from energy provider and they promised me to install the solar system. When I enquired I found they even didn't follow any regulartory requirements.

Please don't waste your time and money

I bought a solar edge system through ADS Solar, paid my deposit & 3 days before install I receive a phone call telling me the salesman has made a mistake & hasn't included the DC optimizers in the quote & I'd need to pay another $1500 for the system. I told him to get his manager to call me & received no call back. I called back & argued it's not my fault & they should honour the contract. If they knew anything about solar they would know you can't install a Solar Edge inverter with out DC optimizers. They refused to honour the contract & offered me an upgrade to a string inverter!!! I informed them I would be speaking with fair trading but still didn't received a phone call from management.
May have taken up to 6 weeks to resolve through fair trading. Had to accept a refund, which took a week to receive, & find a new company.
Disgusting customer service & gutless management that didn't even have the decency to call me back.
