Easy process

AHE were a breeze to work with, they organised an inspection and installation day and sorted all paperwork with my current electricity supplier. They were on time and job was complete that day. The job site was left clean and tidy . I would recommend AHE to anyone wanting a smooth hassel free solar install.

New solar system installation

Got my solar system installed yesterday & couldn’t be happier with the result. Andrew, Sam & the team were extremely efficient, professional & courteous throughout the entire process. They took the time to thoroughly explain how the system operates after installation, which I really appreciated. As a qualified electrician myself, I was impressed with the quality of workmanship & how neat & precise their installation was. Highly recommend their services!

Great Team to Inastall

I was really impressed with Andrew from my first discussion on the phone. He was able to answer all my questions which others couldn’t do or they told me I didn’t need to know. Then organised an installation date - adhered to the installation date and was great with communication all the way through. His team were excellent and he was there - the same person from start to finish. He was very patient helping me get the app on my phone and making sure it was all working. The system is working brilliantly and has been there for 2 weeks now. The app is better than TV. Highly recommended.

Reliable Team and Quality Solar Install

The team at AHE Group did a great job installing a new solar panel and battery system at our home. AHE Group - Great Service

Andrew from AHE Group is the "gentleman of the solar installation business". There were so many guys here on the installation day, performing in complete coordination. One on the switchboard and Gateway, a couple assembling the Sigenergy 40kWh battery, several on the roof installing the 32 new Jinko 470W panels, one running the cables from the switchboard through our roof space to the battery and panels.
They were not the cheapest price, but they gave a competitive quote and were very willing to talk through any aspects of the quote and answer all my many, many questions. I got 15 quotes from 5 installers and decided on AHE Group and the larger install.
Some other installers wanted me to decide immediately, some kept phoning and emailing, some didn't even have their own installation crews. Andrew Hanna was very patient with all my queries over a long period of time before I decided. I also added bird mesh installation around the panels.
At the end of the day, Andrew even installed the shade sail I purchased for the battery.

If you want to shorten your appraisal process, I have already done that 'leg-work' for you. I can thoroughly recommend AHE Group for your solar panel and battery installation.

Job well done with our battery and solar panel install!

Andrew and his team installed extra solar panels and a Sigenergy battery this week. Andrew did our previous 2 installs. Original install in 2012 then we upgraded in 2020. With each install, Andrew and his team are always friendly, efficient and professional. Andrew and his team are always happy to answer any questions and provide the best advice and always does his best to accommodate our requests, and like our previous 2 installs, we are very happy with this install as well.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andrew and his team to our family and friends and he'll always be top of our mind with any future electrical works.

Fantastic service, committed to doing the job well

I obtained a number of quotes and I'm very glad I picked AHE Group. From the initial calls through to after-sales service AHE Group were really impressive. It's a family run business so you get first rate service without the sales pitch (Andrew the owner called personally and walked me through things during the onsite assessment). It's electricity and they keep things simple. Their quotes were competitive and what stood out was they packed the most value by far in terms of bang for buck: they offered more efficient panels and a bigger system, used thicker cables for long 30m cable runs and threw in optimisers, all for no extra cost.

Workmanship stood out as well. I had questions about roof leakages and Andrew explained how they did the flashings to minimise water ingress which was consistent with the advice I had read on Solar Quotes articles. They also hid all the conduits behind the brick wall so everything looks really neat and minimalist - quality work.

On installation day Andrew and his team were very pleasant and courteous. They arrived on time and finished everything in a day, packed up all their rubbish and left the site very tidy.

First rate installation

AHE Group were very professional in all aspects of our solar installation. The very competitive quote was comprehensive and provided without fuss. Once we accepted the quote, they gave us a timeframe for installation and stuck to it.
Andrew carried out a site inspection before the work was carried out and addressed all of my concerns.
The installers were punctual, polite and friendly, providing information on the system and how to use and monitor its functions. The site was left clean and tidy and grid connection was promptly organised.
The office staff were always available and extremely helpful.

Excellent company, professional installation and customer service

Six years ago with had AHE group install out 10 Kilowatt Solar panels and Inverter. Now with energy prices still rising we opted to get a Solar Battery installed. We were very happy last time with Andrew and is crew when they installed our Solar system so we had no hesitation in going back to them for the battery installation. Andrew personally discussed with us our requirements and provided us with a battery solution (24kWh Sigenery battery and 10kW inverter) and quote.
On the day Andrew came with his crew and personally installed the system to our existing Solar Panels. They discussed with us the best location to install the Battery and Gateway and we were very happy with the final outcome. Andrew outlined the display features of the battery and helped us with the App setup and capabilities. Overall with a very happy with AHE group as they are a family company and pride themselves on their work, customer service and getting it right the first time. Happiest Return Customer! Thanks AHE!

10 years ago I got the team from AHE to do a solar PV install for me on my new house build.
10.5 KW Of LG solar Panels and a 10kw 3 Phase SMA inverter. Couldn’t have been any happier and the system has operated absolutely flawlessly since then.

So when the battery rebate kicked in. I called AHE again and asked them to quote me on an appropriate system. I must say the whole process from design, to quoting to install was deadset flawless. Not only does Andrew and the team know their products inside out but they apply real world use for their installs.

Ended up with the Sigenergy Sigenstor 48kw system, an increase of 11 kw of panels and the accompanying Sig EV charger.

Install was flawless and efficient. Completed in a day with a full rundown of the product along with answering a plethora of my questions. Not to mention the little added extra surprise of the included automation of some external power devices which I had no clue was even possible!

I am deadset wrapped with the install and my new shiny battery!

Great Install

Andrew and the team at AHE have been great right from the quoting stage to installation. I took a while to decide on the installer and AHE were very responsive and helpful throughout the process.

They even assisted with my switchboard upgrades for a great price. Showed up time on the day of the install and completed the job without any issues.

They explained to me in detail about the installed system and helped me setup the app on my phone.

I would highly recommend AHE to anyone looking to install solar and batteries!!

Honest and independent advice

Andrew Hanna gave very detailed advice about where we could install a solar battery in our terrace, and recommended Sigenergy as the best option for the space we had.

The install was completed cleanly and effeciently, with attention to detail that everything was working as expected.

I used AHE previously to install our solar system years ago, and they have always been flexible and ready to help. I think their longetivity speaks to the quality of the work and the customer service they provide.

Andrew installed my first solar system around 13 years ago. I had no hesitation in asking Andrew to provide a quote for a battery and solar system to replace the original. I found Andrew, Leanne, Donna and team a pleasure to deal with. From requesting a quote to installation was a breeze. Andrew was always available to provide more information when I had questions. On installation day the team arrived around 8 and I was up and running around 3 including a handover before they left. Even though Andrew wasn't able to be on site for the installation he followed up with a phone call to ensure everything was OK.

Fantastic installer

Wow…… what a great experience. Andrew, Leanne and their crew knew their stuff. From the initial call through to install, I knew I was in good hands. They gave a very competitive quote and answered all my numerous questions throughout the entire process without any hesitation, annoyance or eye rolling. On the day of install, Andrew and Sam (Andrew’s son) were able to redistribute the solar panels on the roof to optimise a greater solar yield and even threw in an extra panel free of charge.
After the installation was completed, Andrew showed me how to use the app and also went through a blackout scenario to ensure the system was working properly.

I live on the NSW Central Coast and was originally going to go with a local installer however, I would not hesitate in recommending AHE group for any solar and battery installation. Their professionalism was next to none. Thank you

Loves his job, and it shows it his workmanship

Andrew and team installed our first small system in 2011. It's still going strong. Last Thursday they commissioned our 13kW Jinko array with 48kWh Sigen battery. They arrived at 8am, as promised, and it was up and running by 1pm. The guys take great pride in their work and managed to hide all cables (panels to battery, battery to gateway, gateway to board). The panels from 2011 were cleaned off and the old inverter was plugged into the AC input of the gateway and now provides about 1/7 of total generation. I did get another 3 quotes from Solar Quotes but Andrew was given the job not just because we had worked with him before, he was also the cheapest and did not oversell. (In fact he suggested I get a new car before getting a charger.) Also, great to work with the same person all the way through (avoiding miscommunication). Better clean up than most tradies we've used. Helpful advice too. For example, I plan to move to Amber (without Smartshift) and he suggested playing with the gateway's various "modes" and get to know these before moving. I have since discovered I can also create my own modes!

Great customer experience

Andrew inspected our premises and reviewed our electricity bills before providing a quote for a tailored, recommended package. The quote was slightly higher than the next one, but in-house tradesmen installation was perceived to be less risky.
The date was set, was met and the installation by Sam and Anthony was efficient and clean. The battery was already 40% full on activation at 1:00pm and 87% in four hours.
Our first night was like heaven! Lights, fridge, everything run from the sun and not the grid. What a great result!
AHE was recommended to us by our sparkie, and I can recommend them to you.

Genuine solar installer

The quoting process was straight forward. I asked Andrew I wanted an Enphase system and to put as much panels in the northern roof. Other installers were very hesitant due to the roof design. Andrew said he would try and everything worked out.

The installation went very well. Not one roof tile was broken and the system works and performs very well with close to 60kWh energy production on a good sunny day with a 10kW system. The team was very professional.

The customer service was excellent. Leeanne and Andrew got back to me very quickly with all my questions. Also they helped me setup the Enphase app to monitor the power and energy production.

Professional in all aspects

Andrew visited the site before the installation.
He advised us on an optimal solution by removing the existing and aging solar System.
We decided to take up his advice and upsize the new system that includes the 10 years warranty.
The additional work to remove the old bore pump control panel and carry out electrical field wiring to the new bore pump panel was carried out as part of the project at the same time.
The installation was carried out over two days.
The workmanship and attention to details was of a high standard.

Top-notch Family Business – Highly Recommend!

Had my Tesla solar system installed by Andrew, his son and nephew — an awesome family team! From the first visit to check out my place to the final install, everything was smooth and professional. Andrew took the time to explain the options and gave a practical plan that really suited my home.

Easy no fuss sales and install

The sales process with AHE was relaxed and pressure-free. Andrew, the owner, took the time to clearly explain everything, and when I started asking trickier questions he personally came over assessed the house and offered an innovative solution I hadn’t considered.

Installation was smooth and efficient, thanks to a highly skilled and well-coordinated team. Their expertise, experience and teamwork were evident, it looked like they have been doing this every day for years. I appreciated that they rely on family members and trusted contractors rather than sub-contracting the work. This means you’re always getting the ‘A’ team for your installation, not just a lucky dip. While this approach could mean waiting a little longer for installation (I only waited less than a month), I think knowing what quality you are going to get is worthwhile.

As a former architect, I also appreciate that AHE is meticulous with paperwork—quotes, contracts, and certifications are all handled thoroughly and building standards are strictly adhered to with no corners cut.

Overall, AHE delivers professional, high-quality service with a personal touch. I highly recommend them.

No nonsense installer, good workmanship.

It was pleasure to work with Andrew and his team.

The quote was comprehensive and thorough. Several revisions with several options were offered. Onsite inspection was important part of choosing the most appropriate option and allowed to ask questions / discuss installation/ positioning of the battery, panels, etc.

Installation was completed on scheduled day by 3pm. Punctual. No nonsense. Arrived prepared and with sufficient resources.

Excellent installation quality - no visible cabling. All equipment looks like it was meant to be there.

Professional and commited Company

I had my first solar installation years ago with this group and was very satisfied with them. When I started looking for installers this year, AHE Group were still in business, with the same Director and, later realised, an electrician of the old crew. I did receive a few quotes from other installers to cross check the situation and at the end had no hesitation to proceed with the offer from AHE Group. A long-established Company is no doubt a very good indicator of professionalism and commitment.

I discussed a couple of alternatives with Andrew (the Director) and agreed to a solution just after the NSW Government decided to withdraw funding for the batteries rebate.

As soon the Contract was signed, I was given the installation date of 15 August. Despite the crappy weather we had in Sydney for the last few weeks, they confirmed the installation day 48 hours in advance. I was really surprised because it was really raining a lot during the prior days.

On the installation day I was working from home as I was very interested in following the steps of the installation and the approach in general. It did go as I remember went the first installation: a dedicated group in charge of the panels (removal of the old and install of the new) a second with the battery and a third with the switchboard.

Andrew came early on to define the location for the panels and the battery and make sure everything was at hand. The crew was managed by Sam every time it was necessary but were mostly self-sufficient. Sam also tried hard and succeeded to embed all the wiring within the double brick cavity, so in the end the installation looked very, very nice. Managing a thick 3x16 + 1x6mm2 cable is difficult in these cavities. To my engineering mind, the work was above level in all aspects, from using the right tools, materials and methods to the finishing presentation.

At the end, when the crew was cleaning and packing all the leftovers and rubbish, Andrew came back to check and certify the installation. I had no doubt that everything was in order as I followed the process during the day. Everything was OK first go, with and almost ridiculous number of labels everywhere and with a new set of MCBs in the switchboard.

I have many more details that I liked about the whole experience, but it may be too long to describe here.

To conclude, I have no hesitation in recommending AHE Group because they were very good in all aspects of the solar installation.

Solid installer in Sydney

I came across AHE Group through Solar Quotes, and they’ve been excellent to deal with from start to finish. Andrew, the owner, along with his wife Leeanne and their children, work seamlessly as a team, which is fantastic to see. From quoting through to supply and installation, the process was handled efficiently and with great competence. I was initially concerned about the risk of cracking old terracotta tiles during installation, but after several weeks of heavy rain, everything has held up perfectly. Hopefully, it continues to remain leak-free and performing well.

Fantastic Installer

The quotation process with AHE group was very informative and I could tell from the start that they had a lot of experience and a great straight forward, honest and professional attitude. The willingness to listen to what my requirements where and ongoing consultation on the system that we planned to install was second to none.
On the day of installation, they were punctual, polite and tidy. At the end of the install my expectations were met and once again the professional work that was done was very impressive.
The system has only been in place now for a couple of weeks, but we are very happy with the performance so far and the ongoing customer service is great as they are easy to contact and answer any questions that I have.
AHE where also organized the grid connection with my electricity provider.
Overall, I am very confident to suggest anybody that is looking to have a solar system installed that they could not find a better installer than AHE group.

Andrew and the team were a pleasure to deal with. Honest and transparent during the quoting process and very patient in explaining all the options and how everything works. Honest and Ethical

I highly recommended this company. During installation there was a hiccup that damaged some of my electronics. I agree with them that this was a rare and unfortunate event.

The reason I give them 5 stars is because the attitude of the entire staff, including Andrew, who apologised multiple times and refused to take any form of payments until everything is fixed. While my system is already up and running, they do not come and ask for payment until all my electronics are replaced as good as new.

Mistakes can happen, but what is important is how they handle it, and I am thoroughly thankful for their ethics and honesty.

I have not been incentivised for this review.

I talked to several solar and battery supplier/installers for quotations and most didn't have a good understanding of the systems they were selling, and even told me things I knew to be incorrect. AHE Group had been recommended to me and they gave me the most competitive price while also having great knowledge of the technology. Their install was of top quality, went smoothly, and they were friendly and obliging to deal with. They even painted over where the removal of equipment had exposed old paint!

Tier 1 Installation at a great price!

AHE installed a 30 panel Jinko NEO array and a Sungrow inverter for half of the the price of their large competitors. Sam and the crew turned up on time and they only broke two roof tiles, which is exceptional in itself!

The array is delivering exceptional performance and we're now wondering how to use all of the power that were generating.

AHE are a small, family business that delivers a great product at an excellent price. I recommend Andrew, Sam and Leeanne to anyone looking for an excellent solar solution.

Andrew came out and give me a quote The minute I saw him anll instantly liked him. He explained everything and I felt even more s when he mentioned that his son was part of the team.

Fantastic Installer

Andrew and his team far exceeded our expectations, they were all polite and friendly and very helpful answering all of our many questions. AHE Group price was competitive. Andrew's install team which included Andrew's son and himself and no subcontractors, did a very professional installation job of a roof solar system and battery at our home. All the joining cables were hidden, they arrived on time, finished on time, they were very tidy and cleaned up at the end of the day. Used them again 8 years after my original solar panels went on

I've just had a battery and more solar added to my house, after I used AHE originally 8 years ago. They replaced my original SMA inverter on warranty after part of it broke back in 2019.
Installation was prompt and courteous. Andrew came back twice in two days to sort out a couple of issues commissioning the battery to our 3 phase supply and aircon.
Customer service with Donna and the rest of the team has been very prompt.
I've used them twice now and would recommend them to others.

Second Excellent Instalation

AHE installed our first PV installation in 2009. The system performed fault free from installation until replacement by AHE in early December 2024.

In 2022 we purchased a Mitsubishi PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid EV), and the imminent replacement of our gas hot water system with a heat pump HWS will complete the conversion of our home to fully electric.

The notional 5.7kW capacity of our original PV installation was not matching our increased electricity demands. Based on our experience with AHE, AHE was the ONLY installer we considered once we had decided to upgrade to a 12.3kW Enphase microinverter solution. AHE completed the installation by 1pm on the scheduled date. Some members of the AHE team were part of the team that completed our 2009 installation. As anticipated, the installation work was immaculate, and the system was online when the team departed. System performance has exceeded my expectations with December midday generation routinely peaking at 9.9kW.

The attached images show the system's performance on 21Dec24 (longest day of the year) with some car charging and air conditioning demands. The other image shows the performance on 1Jun25 (another full-sun day three weeks before the shortest day of the year). There was little demand on 1Jun25 because we were away from home.

The system has 28 440W Trina panels. The panels are installed on a 24 degree pitched tile roof. 11 facing NW, 13 facing NE, and 4 facing SE.

We are on an AGL fixed tariff of 47.5 cents per kWh, supply fee of 96.49 cents per day and feed-in tariff of 20 cents per kWh. We have received a credit each month that now totals $636.

I am exceedingly satisfied with AHE and the system.
