Gerard was excellant at each stage
Gerard insisted on visiting us before doing our quote. He was the actual installer so he needed to make sure about our home. He arrived on time, provided practical information and answered all our questions. When the time for the installation came, he and his team all arrived as scheduled. They work quickly and efficiently. It was all completed by mid-afternoon. Because the installation happened just before Christmas, we couldn't get inspected for about 10 days When that happened, I couldn't see any energy production on the app. I messaged Gerard and he quickly phoned me and walked me through a check to see what was wrong - the inspector left the inverter switched off. Once it started, it's been great. Joanne in the office has followed up providing all the completed certificates and documents for the installation. She has also liaised with our power supplier to set up our grid feed-in. Now we're just waiting for that to be confirmed. All in all, our dealings with Schumacher Solar have been a positive experience, we have no hesitation in recommending them.06 December 2022

One Contact Throughout the Process
I had a great experience in my dealings with Gerard and his team from the day we met. I was expecting a sales guy to visit me but got the man himself to deal with. He came to my place and discussed with me the possible options on what solar panels I can choose because I had been torn between two brands. Eventually, he answered all my questions to help me pick the suitable system on my budget.The installation was a breeze, and everyone on the team was very professional and polite. The work was done without any hassles. The mess was cleaned up and am satisfied with the installation. The monitoring system had an issue not connecting to the Wi-Fi on the day and Gerard came back to fix this. His commitment to providing a working system fulfilled.
I highly recommend Schumacher Solar & Electrical to anyone who is looking to install a solar system.

Fantastic installation and service
The quoting process was very easy and several options were discussed and quoted upon after a site/home visit. Would highly recommend having an inspection as this helped us decide on best panel positioning and layout on our roof. Our discussion was directly with the owner and installer (not through a sales person) who gave us confidence and reassurance of our choice of provider.The installation was arranged at a mutually agreed time and date and a crew of 4 arrived at the said time with all the gear and was installed in about 6-7 hours. Everyone was very polite, they worked safely and totally cleaned up after themselves.
They arranged for the required safety inspection (within 4 working days) and are organising the grid connection; the process was simple and straight forward.
Highly recommend Schumarcher Solar & Electrical.

Ferrari style
Whilst it was a little slow getting to the finish line due mainly to Covid, well worth the wait. Like the installer's namesake, we now have a Ferrari on the roof with the finely tuned motor purring in the garage. Gerard & team were 1 of only 2 of the 4 we sought quotes from to make a site visit. These 2 were the only 2 we then considered as they solutioned the system whereas the other 2 just planned it and changes were anticipated at install.We have a reserve next to us with one large imposing tree casting shade on various parts of the roof during the day and pleased to say, both installers discussed that thoroughly with us at site visit and added optimisers to a number of panels as a result.
We finally opted with Schumacher as they used conventional Jinko Tiger panels mounted vertically using corrugated roof anchor points and coupled that to a Fronius Primo inverter with a smart meter.
The other installer offered larger Jinko Tiger panels and was intent on mounting them horizontally due to our smaller roof batten spacing and they were coupling those up to a Goodwe inverter. When we asked for a better inverter, we were offered the new Sunways inverter being marketed by Sungrow. No amount of discussion could sway them from that combo and panel mount so we decided on the Schumacher install as quite frankly, Gerard sold the solution.
Topping it all off was the install as not only did they install as per Gerard's design, they also battled through our attic and spent an hour longer than anticipated in a very hot ceiling space and never complaining as they did so. Thankfully, everything else went smoothly and when they turned it on for the trial run, instantly produced maximum output from the inverter.
Still to be inspected and made operational but we have no doubt, our decision was vindicated with the quality system, quality installed and effectively 2 men down as Gerard's team had been rocked by Covid. Gerard got back on the tools and he and Phil did a fantastic job in trying circumstances. Thanks Gerard & Phil. Looking forward to many happy solar power years ahead thanks to your dedication in a very competitive market.

Very Professional, friendly and easy to work with, great staff.
We are very pleased with our system and when Gerard came to quote it all felt so much easier to consider.We had put off making a choice, as it all seemed confusing, then after our discussion and quote we felt very happy to go ahead. The installing went ahead with no hassles at all, very polite and respectful guys working at our home.
The Inverter was attached to the wall in an excellent manner, extremely good workmanship.
So far we are delighted with our solar.

Trustworthy sole trader - highly recommended!
The quoting process was simple - we had a quick conversation and then followed up in detail with our options. Gerard was the only person who suggested putting panels on more than one face of the roof to maximise effectiveness.We had a delay on installation due to COVID, but Gerard kept in touch and I always knew what the plan was and what next steps would be.
Installation went well - the team were punctual, polite and effective, and cleaned up nicely afterwards!
Just waiting for the inspection now, but I have no doubt that everything will go just as smoothly as the experience we've ahd so far.

Absolutely! The only issue is the rubbish feed-in tariff which makes it nearly impossible to get a bill in credit, but that’s not the system’s fault :)25 August 2021
Friendly and quality installer.
Great service start to finish. Gerard was great to deal with and was happy to answer any questions at any stage of the process. Just right
We have a bit of a space issue, also roof looking East-West. Gerard was the only one who came on site during the day light to check the roof, possible shading, select the location for the inverter. He explained us why it was worth to seek the Body Corporate approval to install East-West oriented system instead placing everything onto West side. His attention to the details, provided information and attitude in general made him the right person for this job.On the installation day his team were working in masks, were polite and haven't left any mess after themselves.

Meticulous installation and operating advice
Very helpful and courteous people from the owner of the business (who is also one of the installation team!) through to each team member. Working from home I could hear the owner educating his team about safety onsite. The inverter was placed in such a manner as to be appropriately presented with other cabling and conduit already there. I found them all to be polite, punctual and respectful. Genuine quality local installer
Objective advice, knowledgeable, quality installation. No pushy sales. Real pricing and not over promise and under deliver. Gerard and his local team are friendly and in my opinion, top notch!When everyone else told me I could only get 16 panels and system size between 5.12-5.6 kW system, Gerard got on roof and did the measurements himself and said 20 panels, 6.6 kW, no problems!
On day of install, took he and his team from 8 am till 7pm to do the job, as there was an issue with the original planned placement of the inverter, but got it done as quoted, no qualms or complaints. Neat and tidy.
I’m a pretty critical person generally and I couldn’t fault a thing! Used all the right gear and compliance to standards. I know as I’ve done lots of research and seen examples of shonky installations online. I knew what I was looking for. I even got on my double storey roof after to check myself so I could be sure. Nothing to fault!

Premium system and installation
Schumacher Solar was the only company to perform a detailed site inspection before quoting. This meant specific site problems and options could be ironed out and included in the quote.Installation was proficient and professional. An accidentally broken panel caused them a considerable problem but every effort was made to limit any delay or inconvenience. Original ratings

12 months in and absolutely no problem or complaint about the system or the installation. I can't say the same about the perfidious power company.
