Solar Wise Wagga Reviews

About

Solar Wise Wagga has been operating locally since 2009 with Alex Manley, the owner having installed solar electric power since 2006. Solar Wise Wagga focuses on high quality, long lasting solar systems installed by a skilled team of solar professionals.

We are passionate about helping regional Australians to reduce their electricity bills and to become more energy efficient. We will provide you with all the relevant information you need to know, a quality installation service and high grade panels, inverters and mounting frames. Our pricing is competitive and we design the solar system to your individual needs. We design residential and commercial systems to last for decades so you achieve an excellent return on your investment.

We undertake site visits prior to installation to recommend the most suitable solar system for your needs. We can install a range of monitoring options and are able to provide system support for years to come. It is our firm belief that creating a strong sense of trust with customers and helping them achieve what’s best for them, is the only way to operate long term in the solar industry.

Solar Wise Wagga is based in Wagga Wagga on Nagle Street and servicing the Wagga and as far as Griffith. On top of providing a quality install we also go beyond the current safety standards by installing isolators with each panel and use fire retardant cabling, which lasts longer and doesn’t receive damage from an open flame.

Reviewers report paying: $7,986 - $12,000 for depending on hardware choice and installation difficulty ( how is this calculated? )

Satisfied customer

SolarWise provided a pleasing experience. They provided answers to our queries and advice regarding a suitable system followed by a prompt quote followed by an installation process that was most professional. They were personable, knowledgeable, punctual, tidy and a pleasure to be associated with. We are currently awaiting our energy provider to install the necessary meter to complete the system.

Professional In All Aspects

I purchased a 12.24kW 3 phase system from SolarWise Wagga. After doing a lot of research, I enquired about a system and Alex came out and had a look. He knew his product and answered all my questions. He sent me some quotes and helped me understand all my options. After discussing several options, I settled on a 12.24kW system. Because of the size of the system, Essential Energy put a 6kW limit on my feed in. This was unexpected. After learning this, we adjusted the system layout. I have 7.2kW North and 5.04kW West of LG 360W Panels feeding a 10kW Fronius inverter.

I had received cheaper quotes, but I went with Alex and his crew as I had heard good things about their work and I wanted a professional neat job. Alex's crew turned up a few weeks later on the day we organised for install. His crew were very well presented. I explained I wanted a nice neat job (I'm a bit OCD with my house) and that's exactly what I got, even up in the roof all the wiring is neatly installed.

Once installed, Alex organised the new meter and Essential Energy came and installed it 2 weeks later. (It can take up to 28 days depending on your supplier) Once the meter was installed, Alex came out the next day and reprogrammed it.

The system performs well. I exported 46kWh on a clear day mid September, even with the 6kW per hour export limit. The system peaks at around 9.53kW around midday, again mid September.

The whole experience was great. I really didn't have to do anything. They took care of it all. They kept me well informed and delivered the job is was hoping for. I would highly recommend SolarWise Wagga to anyone wanting a professional and hassle free experience.

Minimum fuss and an effective solution.

On first consultation the consultant, Bob, was helpful and well versed in the products on offer. He explained the relative merits of the various options well and forwarded the details of 3 possible installations promptly.

The installation went smoothly - the installers arrived punctually on the agreed day and completed the work in an efficient and timely manner with minimal disruption.

Customer service has been a strong point - the grid connection is still a work in progress, well facilitated by the crew at Solar Wise.

We purchased from Alexander Manley from SolarWise Wagga Wagga, after much research (thank you Finn Peacock 'solarquotes') and many quotes, because he was one of the few that would travel the 50 kms to speak face to face and discuss the best options for our house after seeing our roof layout.
Alex was amazing, no question was left unanswered, supplied many pamphlets of different products, discussed our options and not once was he pushy.
A friend of mine had also had his and his parents house fitted by SolarWise many years ago, so not only was he local but has been in this business for many years.
The system was fitted in good time and with no problems and despite winter weather is producing well. We are very happy.

Original Review on 08-09-2016:

This system has a 6 kW Inverter to allow for addition of existing Gross system panels after 31/12/2016 and future expansion. The Inverter also is battery ready and allows for backup on grid failure when batteries are added later this year, so it is more expensive than a simple 4 kW inverter.
My roof was replaced the week before installation, so the installation of the system included RE-installation of the existing nine-year-old Gross system PV panels on the new roof.

8 months later we asked Peter: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

For power output the system met what I expected.
This initial 4.125 kW Nett system was installed beside a nine year old 1.225 kW Gross system (Fronius IG15 Inverter with seven Sharp 175 Watt PV panels).
For every year of the nine years the Gross system has consistently produced an average of 4 kWh per day. It did not deteriorate over the years. Daily generation ranged from 1 kWh to 7 kWh depending on the weather. How do I know? Because I had a Fronius wireless remote display in the kitchen where I could see the instantaneous power generated by that system updated every 3 seconds, and at the end of the day the display showed the total generated that day. Pressing buttons provided monthly and yearly totals.
Unfortunately the Fronius Inverter failed in February and was not worth replacing. In place of its seven 175 Watt PV panels I installed six 320 Watt PV panels connected to the new Nett system.

I have no idea what the new Nett system has generated over the seven months. Nine years after the earlier system that told me everything I wanted and I cannot get a refreshing display for the new system. Progress–HAH! So much data has been lost it is a joke. But I did compare the two systems on two particular days in September 2016. By dividing the respective total energies generated by each system on each day by its nominal kW system capability (1.225 kW old system, 4.125 kW new system) you get a figure representing the equivalent number of hours at full capacity of each system, so they are directly comparable.
2016-09-09: old system 3.26 hours; new system 3.76 hours
2016-09-10: old system 2.86 hours; new system 2.79 hours
From that I surmised the new system was performing properly then.

Nowadays the new system has been upgraded to 6.045 kW and over the last month (30 days) has generated 644 kWh or 21.5 kWh/day. The minimum daily generation over the month was 5.6 kWh and the maximum 29.2 kWh.
