Winki - amazing service, product and personnel

Winki were very responsive to my enquiry about solar and batteries. They were flexible with arranging times to meet and walk me through different proposals to suit my needs. They were very responsive in arranging an installation date/time that suited me and were quick to install the system and provide follow up support. Highly recommended.

Excellent Service and Support from Winki Energy

Very happy with my Sigenergy battery installation by Winki Energy. Although I encountered a few issues, their team resolved them promptly and professionally. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Even months after installation, Sush followed up to make sure my system was running well. I truly appreciate their excellent customer service and would definitely recommend Winki Energy to my family and friends!

Honest and knowledgeable installer.

Quote was good. Not necessarily cheap but fair. Had confidence in the job. Used good quality components. Very knowledgeable and explained all my questions. Only slight error was installing an undersized circuit breaker for hot water which tripped once within the first week and took 4 weeks to replace.

Great Experience with WinkiSolar

After seeking several quotes, we proceeded to contract WinkiSolar and have been very happy with every aspect of the process.

We problem -solved some of the design and installation aspects in a very collaborative manner.

Communication was excellent and, as far as I can tell so far, the installation has been faultless.

All employees with different roles in their system were prompt and clear communicators - overall it was very impressive.

I would heartily recommend WinkiSolar.

Excellent service

Winki Energy were professional, very easy to communicate with and displayed a high standard of expertise and work on the installation of our solar panels. They were very patient with my many questions and were willing to work through various options. I would definitely recommend them.

10 kWh panels and Sungrow 8kw inverter

Winki were on my suggested companies. They were the only ones I had to chase up for the quote, the others were straight onto it but both from Melbourne and were wanting to do it over the phone with a few photos. Winki are local so thought I would touch base as I hadn’t heard from them, they were a delight to deal with, never pushy, reasonable price, answer any questions I had. Came out to visit site and gave recommendations. There was supposed to be a 10-12 week wait on install but they called to see if it could be done earlier, which was good. The system was installed over a couple of days, the guys were very neat and tidy, definitely not in any rush to get finished. Follow up calls after install to see if everything was ok.
Would definitely use Winki again if I decide on a battery

Happy to go the extra mile

Dexter was great in helping us find a solution for our complex installation (no man hole, double story, high peaked roofs and a switchboard in an inaccessible location). The battery and gateway ended up near our front door and looks very tidy.
Install was painless and despite a small hiccup with rubbish ending up in drains (which they sorted), we couldn't fault it.
The system was sized perfectly for us as a family of 5 and were still getting a great output in the dead of winter.

Excellent

Right from the start I’ve been looked after with Winki Solar. From Sush at the beginning helping me to pick a system suitable for my needs to Tom and the rest of the installation crew. Communication and quality of work has been excellent. Very happy with my experience.

Satisfied customers and Winki Energy is definitely 5+ Stars

Winki Energy provided detailed and informative quotations with all options fully explained. Dexter was great during all interactions and was always ready to take time to explain the process and timing of the installation.
The installation team did an excellent job and could not be faulted; we were very happy with the process and interaction with the Winki Energy team.
Our system has been excellent. Dexter explained pros and cons of the various suppliers and we now have our system running that takes advantage of 3 hours of free charging from the grid to ensure our battery is fully charged, even on cloudy days.
More than happy to give this purchase and installation 5+ Stars.

To be completely transparent, we recently onboarded a new admin team member who, in an effort to be proactive and independent, tried to resolve your issues on their own without escalating them to our operations management. While their intentions were good, it ultimately caused unacceptable delays and left you in the dark, which we are sorry for.

As discussed on the phone, our operations manager Heath is now fully across this and we are fast-tracking the fixes. We have also used this as a coaching moment internally to ensure our communication lines remain seamless moving forward.

Installation went really well

The quoting process was excellent. Dexter Magpantay from Winki Energy, came to visit before sending the quote giving advice as to what he thought was best for us.
The installation was tidy, punctual, polite and done in a day.
Customer service was excellent. And the grid connection was organised by them, happened about a week later.
Dexter has been extremely helpful at all times with any questions I had about the system. He responded quickly to all my text and emails.
My battery was audited randomly last week and I rang Dexter for advice and information about my battery and panels and he assisted on the spot via a phone call and spoke with the inspector.
I highly recommend Winki Energy to anyone, it has been a seamless and efficient install, with great support afterwards. My solar system has been in place since March 2026 and on the second day of June is the first day we are importing energy from the grid as the weather has been extremely cloudy.

Excellent install and customer service

From the quotation to the final install, Winki Energy really takes care and pride in their service and work. They answered all my many questions patiently and I felt fully informed all the way. I love my set-up. The installation was very professional, they are taking the time to do the right install for your home, didn’t cut any corners and left everything neat & tidy. I was shown how to use the battery and ev charger.

Battery and Gateway install

I had a Sigenergy battery and gateway installed by Winki Energy.

Starting off the quoting process with Jack was easy and straight forward. I changed my mind multiple times and frequently asked for more information or details. Jack was always friendly and helpful.
The system and costing was very clear and detailed.

Install team were professional and knowledgeable. Tom explained everything throughout the process. They had to deal with some issues from my original solar install which made the job a bit more of a pain. This was handled without complaint and they put in extra effort to deliver a better install when all finished.

I highly recommend Winki Energy and they will be my first call if I ever need solar or batteries again in the future.

Helpful and price competitive installer

Very helpful installer- came and inspected and clearly outlined the system size choices. Accommodated my difficult battery position and assisted me with future proofing for when we need an EV charger.
Communication was great all the way through the process. Very neat install and system functions perfectly.
After-sales service was great with the inverter recall issue.
I will definitely return to Winki when we want to expand and also install our car charger.

Great Service and Advice

Want to thank Dexter for the advice over the past couple of weeks whilst I've settled into a groove with the system and App.
Transferred to GloBird a few weeks back on your suggestion and enjoying the small daily credit. Hopefully, this builds, so any occasional need for buying from the grid will be well covered.
Also, I have had notice of a couple of local power night outages that we weren't affected by, so no resetting of clocks.
Enjoying no bills at present, so system is paying us back slowly.

A Well Deserved 5 Star Review for Winki Energy

A seamless installation process. The Admin Team did their job well, with regular emails and updates. We were lucky to have our installation date moved forward.
In particular:
• The professionalism of the installation team. Both days, the team arrived at the specified time.
• We were kept informed of their progress and we were encouraged to ask questions.
• The team were dressed in their uniforms and were well presented. They wore their PPE as required.
• Every single piece of rubbish/debris was cleaned up and removed.
• Lastly, it was obvious that the team knew what they were doing and are used to working together. There were no angry tones, or sharp retorts, just efficient communication that gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing.

Currently waiting on the Inspector to give the go ahead to go live.

Winki gets the nod.

WinkiSolutions upgraded my 5.3kW north facing Canadian Solar array by adding Aiko panels with another 5.7kW facing north and 4.275kW facing west. All are now connected to a SignStor 10kW inverter and 24KWh battery.
The quoting process was good from all three companies, but one ruled themselves out by not offering SigEnergy products. The other was slightly dearer but the documentation in the contract was poor.
The main north facing roof now looks busy with the pool solar matting, the hot water solar panel, Canadian Solar and Aiko panels, but none of that is visible from the street, which looks clean and tidy.
Winki's installers were great, always polite, on time and accommodating of my requirements. Also going above and beyond, as the electrical inspector quoted.
The system was demonstrated operating when the mains failure was simulated. The change-over to battery back-up was so quick that both my computer back-up hard disk drive, and the ducted heating and air-conditioning controller, remained online. You've gotta be happy with that.
