Extra costs and restricted solar system
Disappointing experience with our solar install as we were told no upgrades or further costs would occur but then told us we need to pay more to use the system to its full capacity after it was tripping our mains! Definitely wouldn't recommend this company and we are now going to VCAT.Supplier Reply:

No additional payment is required. The system is installed exactly as quoted, has been independently inspected and certified, and its own monitoring data confirms it is working correctly and charging the battery to full. Nothing further needs to be spent for it to do what it was sold to do.
During the installation our electrician found a safety issue in the property's existing wiring that pre dated our work. We fixed it the same day at no cost to the customer. Correcting it meant matching the system's settings to what the property's existing supply can safely carry, which is why the earlier tripping stopped and why there have been no faults since.
Every proposal we issue states, before a customer signs, that changes or upgrades to a property's existing electrical infrastructure are not included unless specifically quoted. We put that in writing upfront so there are no surprises later.
If a customer later wants to increase how much power their property can draw from the grid, that is an upgrade to their own wiring, and we are happy to quote it. It is optional, and the system does not need it.
We take complaints seriously, we investigated this one thoroughly and we have responded to the customer in full.

Exceptional service!
Exceptional service by Australian Energy Upgrades. From start up until post installation is just flawless! Steven has done a wonderful job to set us up for a solar and battery installation. I have also upgraded our gas water heater to heat pump with them. They offered us reasonable price and quality install. Plus they organised our financing as well. They are based in Inner CBD and/or Geelong but they serviced all the way to us in West Gippsland.
