I’ve done the research so you don’t have to!
If JWS Electrical Services service your area I assure you that you’re not going to find a more professional, knowledgeable and top tier solar installer.I received quotes from no fewer than 12 installers and from my external research I narrowed what I wanted down to the following:
1) The install had to be done by in-house employees - no contractors/3rd party installers
2) The company needed to be in business for at least 3 years - not a company that potentially was just trying to cash grab due to battery incentives and might not be around in 3 years making install warranty worthless.
3) I wanted a mid tier priced system that with rebates would give me a reasonable return of investment (ROI)
JWS was the hands down winner. Not only was their quote competitively priced but every one of their reviews was positive. Aaron handled the quoting process and was knowledgeable and more than happy to discuss changes I never once felt pressured into accepting or signing anything which I had experienced from other solar retailers. I landed on a system and battery twice the size as my original quote which was better value for money and set our home up for the future.
The install was flawless. 2 day install booked meant that a morning of bad weather didn’t delay the job being completed on time. The owner Josh was onsite with 2 employees (one being his Dad), they were all punctual, professional, knowledgeable and hard working. We were advised of several broken roof tiles they had found during the install which they happily replaced for us on the second day once we acquired replacements. Josh ran me through the app, the switchboard and what happens next. System was commissioned a few days later when an inspector was able to sign off on the install. Inspector advised it was a very well completed job.
In the last 72 hrs our home has not drawn any power from the grid. Thank you to the whole team at JWS Electrical Services!

The service and quality was outstanding.
Josh and the team were amazing to deal with. They provided a competitive quote and keep me in the loop every step of the way. The donator was easy and painless. They really went beyond to make the install look clean and walked me through the entire system after it was installed. Easy and reliable

A first class installation, I am delighted.
My experience of Josh and all his team has been first class, they are knowledgeable, professional, responsive punctual and really friendly nice people. Exceptional Solar & Battery Installation with Full Blackout Protection by JWS

Installation Experience
The installation team did an outstanding job installing both the solar system and the battery with full blackout protection. They were very friendly, respectful, and extremely punctual. George took the time to explain all the details after the installation, which I really appreciated. The team also ensured the place was left tidy once the work was completed.
Customer Service & Handover
Customer service has been exceptional. Josh continued to be very responsive and helpful throughout the final connection and handover process. JWS handled everything smoothly, making the entire experience stress?free. Their communication was consistent, clear, and supportive from start to finish.

Efficient and Good Installation of GoodWe ESA Battery with Full Home Backup
JWS team installed the GoodWe ESA Battery system at my house with full black out protection. This is second time I have engaged Josh for our solar requirement. The existing Solar Panels were DC coupled to the Inverter. Josh also upgraded the switchboard to support the full house blackout protection.The communication was excellent. Josh communicated throughout the entire process from quoting to installation. Even on the day of installation, Josh promptly notified the arrival time via SMS.
The installation was clean and all the rubbish was taken away. I would highly recommend Josh and the JWS team.

Top notch efficient and friendly installation of Goodwe battery system
The quoting was prompt and of good value compared to others given the extra complication of my install. The communication was spot on, the work crews prompt, friendly, respectful, tidy and skilled. The result was a high quality, neat install to go with my existing 8 year old Fronius/Longi solar system. Highly recommended.Battery rating: 5/5

Great communication
Josh was a great communicator from first call to installation.I was kept totally informed on each step of the process and received a call on the day of installation notifying arrival time.
Everything was cleaned up and rubbish taken away.

I’d like to thank the entire JWS Electrical team for the installation of my new Sigenergy battery. From the start, Aaron provided several clear options and detailed quotations outlining exactly what was included in each solar battery package. He patiently answered all my questions and offered a helpful recommendation on the right battery size for my home.On installation day, it was a pleasure meeting Josh and Will. Exceptional!
- Extremely helpful and detailed sales process, even as I asked lots of questions.- The price itself was among the best of the quotes I received.
- Quick 1-day installation with friendly install crew. They barely left any mess, and even included nice touches like hiding the electrical conduit in the wall (Other installers I checked would charge for that).
- My panel model got obsoleted/superseded before the install, so they upgraded me to a newer model for free. Got a little bit of extra wattage (2%) out of the whole system too
- A solar panel broke during delivery (Not their fault), but they still got the system operational despite that and installed the replacement panel the very next day in what felt like less than an hour. I received no extra charge for that of course.

Fantastic installer of solar panels and battery
JWS was fantastic throughout the entire process, their office staff were extremely helpful and polite. They answered all my questions promptly but didn’t hassle me about proceeding. We then had solar panels installed by JWS, and were extremely happy with the work and results. Recently we had JWS come back and install a Tesla battery and that looks fantastic, is working brilliantly and best of all we are using very little power of the grid. I would highly recommend JWS for cost, quality work, honesty, professionalism and general customer service with before and after installation questions.Panel rating: 5/5

Solar Battery Install on existing solar
We were impressed by the reviews on solar quotes for JWS Electrical and was very happy with the information, pricing and install. Our solar panels were installed 18 months prior by our builders Solar provider. Unfortunately they did not install a battery ready inverter (hybrid) but Josh came up with a solution of using a battery that has an inbuilt inverter which is still compatible with our old inverter left insitu. Aaron in the office was very helpful and patient with all my questions. I was extremely cautious having been scammed out of a deposit by someone on Google with a fake company and website. It was a relief to find the solar quotes website and JWS. The installers were on time, knowledgeable and explained everything really well and left the site clean and tidy after showing us how to use the app etc. Highly recommend this great small family business.

Josh at JWS was incredibly helpful throughout the process from quotation, all the way through to installation and beyond! He was happy to answer all of our questions (and we had many), and he went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the end product.He is thorough, diligent and experienced - our roof is complex and steep, and yet he managed to install the panels with ease, which is a credit to his knowledge and his capabilities. We were also impressed by the quality of his work, the finish was absolutely flawless. He even took special care to clean up after himself. Thanks JWS. Won’t hesitate to recommend!!

Great price, great installers - happy customer
We got a bunch of quotes and JWS were close to the cheapest, but their customer service and knowledge made them a must pick for us.They talked us through the options and the process with professionalism and care.
The install went without a hitch and everything is installed to code and cleanly.
Would definitely use JWS again without question.

Great Customer Service
JWS were very helpful in explaining our options and helping us to get the best outcome for our money. Our preference was to deal with a small local company rather than a large corporation. In our experience that provides a more personal and committed service, and we knew from a previous dealing with JWS that with them this would be the case. 5/5 – Seamless Solar & Tesla Battery Installation – Game Changer for Me.
I recently had solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 installed at my home by JWS Electrical Services. The experience has been nothing short of outstanding. From the initial consultation to the final system activation, everything was handled professionally, efficiently, and with attention to detail.Josh took the time to analyse my energy usage, roof orientation, and long-term goals. He provided a clear breakdown of costs, savings, and how the Tesla Powerwall 3 would integrate into our daily energy use. Every question I had (and I had a lot!) was answered thoroughly and patiently.
Installation was incredibly smooth. Josh & Tommy arrived on time, worked cleanly and respectfully, and completed the job faster than I expected. The solar panels look sleek and modern—nothing like the bulky eyesores of years past. The Tesla Powerwall 3 is beautifully designed and mounted.
The system is living up to expectations. I am generating enough energy to cover nearly all my usage during the day, and the Powerwall 3 stores surplus power to use at night or during outages. It kicks in seamlessly, with no disruption in service.
Monitoring everything through the Tesla app has been a game-changer. I can see real-time production, usage, battery levels, and even set preferences for backup reserves or time-of-use settings.

Absolutely fantastic
This is the second time we have used this company. Our first was when we built our house in Bacchus Marsh over 5yrs ago. And was impressed withvtheir services and product. We now have sold and brought in Curlewis. There was no Solar and so we use JWS again as we were very happy with them. The process was easy and the staff very friendly, respectful and polite. The young men who came and installed our panels were very well mannered , polite, friendly and very informative about what they were doing. They cleaned up after them selves and also replaced broken tiles with our spare ones and took the broken ones away. Can not speak highly of the company and Josh for his service. Great communication, professionalism, quality and value for money
I had solar panels and an inverter installed on my home by JWS about five years ago, and I’ve been really happy with the whole experience. I went with them because their pricing was competitive and they had a solid reputation, and they definitely lived up to it.The install team was great—clean, efficient, and professional, with even the inspector making note of the quality of the install. Everyone I dealt with took the time to explain things and answer my (many) questions, which I really appreciated.
The system actually paid for itself within two years, and it's still running perfectly now, five years on. I haven’t needed any follow-up service, which says a lot about the quality of the install.
Definitely recommend JWS to anyone thinking about going solar.

Job so nice I hired them twice
I had my first rooftop solar system installed by JWS a few years ago. Reaching out for a quote I found their support staff to be extremely responsive, flexible and particularly knowledgeable - they know solar technology inside and out and can effortlessly discuss with you the merits and drawbacks of different systems, technologies and approaches. Conversely, they also don't harass you endlessly like many others do. I got the sense that they respected my time and weren't interested in bamboozling you into buying junk. Ultimately their quote was very competitive and their level of service and professionalism put them at the top of the list.The install was finished in a day and it's been going without a hitch, set and forget. After the install we had some heavy rain and I noticed a roof leak under where the panels were installed, I contacted JWS and they came out and spent the morning finding and fixing the leak. Hasn't been a problem since. I have had many professional services split hairs over emergent issues, spending more time and effort trying to defer responsibility than just fixing their work. JWS say they intend to leave your roof in a better condition than they found it, and my experience has suggested that is true.
We moved house recently and so it seemed like a no-brainer to at least get another quote from JWS along with the 3 from SolarQuotes. The experience between the 3 SolarQuotes sent my way and JWS was night and day, and I was honestly surprised when JWS' quote was again very competitive. I honestly assumed at their level they'd be charging more, but I suppose the solar business must be pretty cutthroat.
I had a lot of random questions about different technologies, brands and negotiating the new Federal battery rebate (before the election, risky!) and JWS were extremely patient and professional about it. In exchanges I had with other installers they seemed to rapidly get frustrated or veer off into making claims about brands and technology they were selling that simply could not be corroborated. JWS never struggled to make their case or substantiate their reasoning.
Ultimately JWS became the clear choice again and everything was booked in quickly.
Coincidentally, the day JWS came to install ended up being the day my wife gave birth to our second kid, and I could only be back and forth from the site very briefly, or take intermittent calls from them when I could. JWS' installers were very understanding of the situation and worked autonomously. They even identified a significant issue with our electrical connection to the grid, where we had a very out of date, underspecced connection to the powerlines that could have caused breakers to trip or become unsafe if overloaded. Even though I said clearly I did not expect them to fix it, they went out of their way to identify a solution and ensure the whole system was up to spec from end-to-end - for no additional cost.
From start to finish JWS seems to be a well-managed outfit run by professional people, and I would happily recommend them to anyone. If I ever need a third system installed, I know who I'll call first.

Considering how very busy this industry is at the moment, JWS Electrical's quote was much more reasonable than other quotes I received.All information was given about the solar panels and the battery. They did the install much earlier than I thought.
JWS were punctual and helped organise the grid connection after the installation.
