Tesla battery installation

I contacted Louis from Sinclair Renewables after the recommendation from Solarquotes. From contact to install the work was completed to an excellent standard, as I myself have an electrical background.
When the install was complete, Louis talked me through the Tesla app set up process which was very intuitive and as I already own a Tesla Model 3 I was already familiar with the app so it made the process even easier.
Finally I can recommend Louis very highly as his work ethic and dedication to same are faultless.

Great service, great installation

Couldnt have asked for better service. All questions were answered and changes I asked for incorporated with no quibbles. Installers were a great bunch of guys.
Had issues with my electricity supplier. Meter box was full so solar fuses could not be fitted. Need to have the fuses and meter fitted in one go. Contractor used by electricity supplier is not licensed to install fuses and they dont get it that the solar installers contractor can do all this once the electricity supplier gives the go ahead.
Once the smart meter and solar fuses are installed I am going to look for another electricity supplier as these guys (Globird) are very very hard to get hold of and just dont understand despite me phoning and sending numerous emails.
Louis from Sinclair has been helping me along the way but the issue is with the electricity supplier not understanding what is required.

Great installation

The whole process from initial contact to installation was very professional and courteous. Couldn’t fault the installation with the team happy to answer questions and help with the app. Everything was seamless as they handled the grid connection and did a follow up call to see how it all went.

Local business using local people

Louis and his team at Sinclair Renewable Energy were fantastic to work with throughout the process. I obtained 3 x quotes and decided to go with Sinclair Renewable Energy because they had some really good reviews, but more importantly they were local to my area. They followed through in answering all my questions and were happy to advise on alternatives. Once I decided to go with them it wasn’t a long wait for install. As I said the install team were local to the area and very trustworthy and very particular in their work. I can highly recommend Sinclair Renewable Energy.

Great to do business with.

From initial enquiry through to solar system install, Louis from Sinclair Renewable Energy was fantastic to work with. Louis provided very sound and honest advice on the best system to suit my current power needs and also to provide a level of future proofing. Prompt, knowledgeable and reliable

Louis came out incredibly quickly, gave me a number of options and price points as well as explaining the whole process really well. There was no sales pressure, just honest advice.

The installation went a lot faster than expected and the team young guys that came out were efficient and polite and were also happy to explain the process as they went. Everything was clean and tidy after they had finished.

Louis organised everything from start to finish and advised my supplier of the connection.

I couldn't be happier, the system looks great and is functioning better than I expected.

Highly recommended

Excellent, professional and friendly service. From quote to install Louis and the team answered any questions I had and provided any information I asked for. Installers arrived when they said they would and were very friendly and polite. The installation is neat and professional and I am impressed by the quality and attention to detail. I also had a Catch Power Green Power hot water diverter installed at the same time which meant that the meter panel was full. Sinclair Energy then worked with my power retailer to arrange for the solar fuses and meter upgrades to all be done at the same time without me needing to do anything, which was great. Would recommend Sinclair Renewable Energy.

An installer that listens

I started to shop around for quotes in December. The first thing that struck me was how hard it was to find an installer that would actually come out and look at the site. I think it was 3 installers that I had to submit a form online and then they just sent a quote, not even what I was asking for. Another one who did come out quoted but didn't really listen to my needs and didn't include everything in the quote to make it look better.

I wanted panels, a battery and an EV charger.

Louis came and saw me and listened to me. Found out not only my needs but my motivation and asked questions. Although I wanted an EV charger, Louis was the only one who actually asked me what type of EV I had.

All the rain we had held up the installation of the panels but Louis made the panel installation easier by installing the battery and inverter in the garage before the panels could go up. The process was seamless and was up and running in no time.

I am stoked in the system and service that Louis and his team delivered. I would highly recommend Sinclair Renewable energy.

Professional, knowledgeable, great communication

Louis from Solar Renewable Energy led us through the process of solar installation and we have no problems in recommending him to any and all that ask. Louis is qualified to carry out all of the activities involved so that there are no subbies. He was quick to respond to our request for a quote and listened to our needs for a 3 phase system before assessing our location and recommending several quality options at differing price points to meet those needs. The systems he has put in place for communication and formalising the quotation and invoicing made life extremely easy and quick. The installation was quick, thorough and looks great on the roof and after commissioning, its use and monitoring was fully explained as well as organising the change over of meters to get payed for feed in power. At no time was rubbish left laying around our home. Louis has proved himself to be professional, trustworthy and polite throughout our journey into solar energy. Original ratings

Great Replacement service for older systems

I have an 11yr old system which needed the inverter replaced. I was told by larger firms that due to the age of the system I need to replace the whole system at a cost of $6k-$9k.
Louis was friendly and informative & was able to upgrade my inverter to a 5kw for a very reasonable price.
He was on time, very knowledgeable and great to deal with.

Highly recommend

I would highly recommend Sinclair Renewable for solar. Louis was fantastic, answered our many, many questions without any problems and welcomed more! He clearly explained the process, costs, and gave us several options for our situation. He helped upgrade our meter box to three phase and dealt with our electricity company on our behalf which was greatly appreciated. Excellent Local Installer

Louis and his team of installers were very polite and well trained in their specific roles right from the start. They were knowledgeable and willing to explain any questions I had regarding my system and installation process. Job was done in approximately 4.5 hours.
I personally preferred a local company that was well established but not too big to forget how to treat customers with old fashioned service and respect.

Second to none

Of all the quotes we received, Louis was the only one who was took time to understand what we were looking for and not just try and sell us the most expensive system. Easy no fuss and on time installation.

We couldn't fault Sinclair Energy's efficiency and install team. Being quoted by the tradesman who installs the systems meant a different perspective and more thorough examination of our home and what we were likely to need, leaving no surprises and nothing to chance.
Everything was on time exactly as promised every step of the way, and the installers were polite and tidy, leaving nothing behind. Our questions were answered with patience and they were happy to explain the process along the way.
Louis Sinclair has a thorough understanding and knowledge of the system he installs, and has ensured we know he is available for help and advice at any time. He also helped us with organising our power company to do their bit.
We wouldn't hesitate to use Sinclair Energy in the future, and would absolutely recommend them as a quality installer.

Top drawer from start to finish

We have read all previous reviews and I have no hesitation in concurring with them all. We followed the steps recommended by Solar Quotes and once Louis was chosen the whole process was smooth sailing.. Going solar is a big decision financially. You need to be confident in the installer as this is an area new to most of us. There are glossy ads on TV with great "packages" but to engage with an independent local company is the most sensible way to go. You are in very safe hands with Louis from on site inspections to after sale service .

Great service from highly experienced local provider.

I contacted Louis from Sinclair Renewables after the recommendation from Solarquotes. He quickly came over to have a look and discuss my options. He clearly explained some of the issues I was going to have due to the dimensions of my property but came up with the perfect solution to get two powerwalls fitted neatly. The install was completed to a very good standard in a timely manner which was even commented on by another electrician who we had over to do something else. If a competitor tells you it's good, you know it's good! Once the install was complete, Louis talked me through the Tesla app set up process which was very intuitive and he even followed up with a phone call 24 hours later to make sure everything was still going ok.

(Deposit paid at this stage ) Louis Sinclair has been so on the job ,Site inspection ,Walked the roof,Checked meter box Identified problems on roof and the meter box ,wiring from grid needs to be upgraded ,these problems otherwise would be found install day by others quoting on Google roof tops. We then decided on size to be quoted.Wiring upgrade & repairs are in the hands of level 2 electrician when completed install date will be decided on, (The install is 8 kw system with catch power green diverter)

All round service

From the very start Sinclair Renewable Energy stood out as the company of choice for our solar batteries. Out of the numerous companies we requested quotes from, Louis was the only one who came to the house to review our current solar system and ask what we wanted to achieve from our battery storage. He helped design a system tailored to what we wanted. All other companies contacted were either pushy sales reps, or just wouldn’t listen to what we were trying to achieve.
The finished product was installed to a very high tradesman like manner and we couldn’t be more happy with the whole process from start to finish.

I can't recomend Sinclair Renewable Energy enough - A Grade on every level.

Louis inspired confidence right from the first phone call. There were several others I was looking at, nothing against them, but he just stood out. He presented all Solar/battery scenarios for us to consider with clarity, affable enthusiasm and considerable technical knowledge and that inspired confidence in me to choose him.

He's a man who enjoys what he does for a living and I enjoyed him `geeking' out over the system we ended up choosing. I've friends and family who are considering solar/battery systems and I've been recommending Louis as the man to go to - truly, he's that good.

I had discussions with him about the pro's and cons of each system and they were presented to me online in an attractive and easy to understand manner. Then, once the decision was made, we were up and going within a very short time frame. He got in and did the work quickly, and with skillful knowledge and care.

We saved up for the type of quality system we wanted - effectively off-grid but still connected. And so far, this past couple of weeks, that's been the case - it's so good to be running our household purely from the energy from the sun.

Louis will be back soon to install the car charger for the Batmobile, err, EV I've decided to order so I'm excited to be free from fossil fuels of all types very soon and `fangin' about Port Stephens on sun juice.

Exemplary Customer Service

From the very get go Louis was outstanding. We got 7 businesses to quote on our Solar system as we were not only looking for a Solar System, but also some guidance, Louis was happy to discuss our concerns and stepped us through the alternatives and he was prepared to offer advice as to what he thought would be best for us, even if he was not chosen. Small and local business shines

Louis came to my house and did not try to do a hard sell to me. He went through through the process in simple to understand terms and I could tell straight away he was invested in solar energy. He was open to all questions and his knowledge and promise of ongoing support won me over rather than the sales pitches from the big players.
I had a number of questions to ask following the quotation meeting and these were all answered promptly and honestly.
The installation was professionally completed and the boys were happy and respectful. Following the installation Louis contacted me to check that everything went well. He then gave me details of a great electricity provider to get the best from my new system.

Honest & Reliable and good value all around.

Having had experience with a solar installation at a previous home where I successfully used SolarQuotes for introductions I was able to deal with Louis by telephone. HIs service was excellent and he was competitive with price. My selection was to get a local hands on supplier (Electrician not salesperson) and I also wanted to give the business to a genuine small business. From the start and through the whole process Louis came across as genuine and confident and came out and inspected the site before giving recommendations. His pricing was not the cheapest nor the dearest but I was able to confirm that he was recommending the most suitable panels and inverter for my holiday home needs. There was no pressure sales pitch or and he was able to do the job in a short time. He was on site all the time and did all the electrical work personally and supervised his assistants on the roof we Being there himself also enabled assurances that the inverter was being installed in the most appropriate location. My initial thoughts were that he may have been stretched as a relatively young business but he convinced me that he has the right back up and his business knowledge is gaining momentum. HIs attitude as a small family business where the tradie does the job and gives good service was clearly evident and is appreciated. He followed up with answers where necessary but did not pester me He was more than polite and punctual and left the job very tidy and assisted on site with the most efficient way to get the necessary connection to the grid. Top Notch Customer Service and a Great Quality Install

Our experience with Sinclair Renewable was great, from the first contact that we had with Louis right though to the end. We spent ages calling other companies and searching online for quotes only to be ignored or told to go with expensive systems that wont really suited to us, however with Sinclair Renewable it was different, once contact was made with louis he actaully came out to our house and sat down with us to go over what we wanted to achieve and what system was the best direction for us and why that was the case. The pricing was competative with other similar businesses. The customer service provided was 2nd to none. We signed the contract in Dec and Louis was very upfront about the timing of when install would occur, we were quoted late Feb. Louis was in constant communication during the wait, we were provided an install date of Mid Feburary. On the morning of the install, louis went over the plan with us, and allowed us to fine tune the panel layout to our requirements. The install went smoothly over a couple of days. The site was left clean with no rubish around. Following the install, i had a little issue with our retailer not finding the paperwork they needed, Louis was great and forwarded me the CCEW that was sent to them, allowing me to follow it up and sort it out quickly. Overall, we were very happy with the quality, service and products that were installed and we look forward to the benifits of our new solar system, supplied and installed by Sinclair Renewable Energy.
