Smarter Home Solutions was established in 2019 as an initiative of our family’s well-established electrical and plumbing contracting business, which has worked with leading new home builders for over 40 years. Smooth and Easy

Informative, polite and professional installation
I had a number of questions re: system size and suitability and found Smarter Home Solutions to be very receptive to my queries and responded in language I understood. Questions on benefits and advantages of different battery and inverter set ups were clearly explained, allowing me to make an informed choice. We ended up increasing our battery size from the original proposal and the amended price was also very competitive. Installation goes above and beyond
Team arrived on time and worked all day to ensure system was installed and functioning. Adapted new installation into my old system and made sure everything was neat and tidy. Excellent communication and great job.10 months later we asked Martin: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
With a switch over to GloBird Energy as my retailer, I have been able to earn upto to 15c per day over winter which has been fantastic. The simple and easy to use set up and a 'set-and-forget' retailer allows for the system to run without much input.

Everything was completed as described.
Installation happened as planned. No problems, delays etc. Lead time from paying the deposit to install date was only a few days. The work was completed in 2 days. Installers took trouble to hide the conduit as best they could. System was working from the moment the inspector certified. The office (Chris) took me through the App, so I understood how to manage the system. At their suggestion, we changed retailer to get the best deal given the new system. One month on, everything seems to be working well. As well as the solar system, we also purchased a heat pump to replace our electric hot water system.25 September 2026
Great provider of integrated energy management solution
Quoting was done very efficiently with a prompt site visit to accurately quote and discuss the options directly. Induction cooktop installation was also completed as part of the job. Full house reverse cycle heating and cooling was quoted but not progressed as the price was not competitive with a specialist heating & cooling company.Installation was on time with good communication and very happy with the standard of work and system delivered. Installation of an induction cooktop required last minute custom alterations to the benchtop which was expertly handled with no impact on the installation timing. The lead person on the install was very easy to communicate with and responsive.
Follow up has been very good with ongoing service and support a real feature of the company.

Great system, friendly and efficient installer
Heat Pump Hot Water: The sales process was a bit tricky comparing different systems. In the end I went with the best, most efficient system. The installation guy turned up a month after accepting the quote and he did a beautiful job (it even looks good). He was friendly and informative about what he was doing.However, he left before setting up the system the way we wanted. It took me a couple of days to work out how to connect the WiFi (the manual was useless as it was obviously a poorly done translation from another language; made no sense at all). Initially, the water coming through was way too hot. I had to call the installer/supplier to figure out how to modify it. Then we realised the hot water pressure was way too low and it was very hard to adjust at the tap. I had to contact the installer again to find out how to adjust that. I am sure, the installer could have set these three things up in a few moments had he stayed a bit longer. It took the shine off an otherwise very good install.

Happy customer
Very happy with the service from enquiry, and quotes through to installation. Installers were great and very tidy. Lots of assistance post installation to change energy providers for best deals, including daily hours of free energy to make the best use of the new battery and help with understanding and using associated apps. Couldn't be happier! Seamless installation. Very trustworthy business.
I had numerous calls with Frank during the sales process. He was always happy to answer, speak in the evenings and on weekends, and provided useful guidance that helped me determine the best system for my needs.The installation was flawless. I braced myself for the worst (having read horror stories about dodgy installs), but was relieved when the lead tech (Carlos) was more obsessed with the finer details than I was (such as equally spacing out the saddle clips for the conduit). Carlos made sure to involve me at any time a decision was required and tended to every one of my requests.
Post installation, Chris (one of the owners) dropped in to ensure I was happy and wanted to ensure I had my energy retailer strategy all set.
This company installed my solar five years ago, and it was great to have them install my battery. Highly recommend this crew!

Excellent job & fantastic service
From a sales perspective, Frank was wonderful. He was helpful, obliging and reliable. The installers were on time, polite, efficient and tidy. They sorted out my switchboard as well as doing the installation. After installation, Chris came and showed me how the system worked and how to use the app. He was very helpful when I phoned or emailed with questions. Good sales/quoting process but installer and after sales communication not as good
Good sales/quoting process but the installer did not ask with circuits to back up and missed circuits that we wanted backed up and also change the solar panel layout without checking with us.We identified a fault with the inverter and have sent multiple emails over months about it and have been told that someone will contact me about it, eventually I did get a call and they sent an electrician back who corrected the missed circuit and they contacted Goodwe about the issue with the inverter and updated the configuration on my inverter, which looks to be working correctly now.
Since this has been corrected, we have hardly used any power from the grid, so we are now very happy with the systems performance.

Perfect Service!
Could not be happier with this solar install.Smarter Home Solutions came onsite for inspection prior to providing us with a quote. There was no pressure for accepting the quote. Mick, our contact, provided all the information we needed, and he was more than happy to answer all of our questions prior to accepting the quote.
The installation crew turned up on time and completed the job within 1 day. Very professional and friendly crew left our place spotless after the install.
All in all, you can't go wrong with Smarter Home Solutions, highly recommended!

Great Installation
The Team from Smarter Home Solutions have been fantastic. They educated me through the current retail plans and worked through the various options of batteries both size and brand. In particular the installers were great for both hot water and batteries plus my new induction stove. The installers took great care with my house and recommended good options froe placement and wiring. The after instal service has also been great with support on changing retailer and how to use the app. I have been very happy with the overall process.25 August 2026
Five Star Operator
I have used Smarter Home Solutions twice and found their service from pre to post sales excellent. Equipment installed (Panels, Battery and Heating, been very effective without need for follow-up maintenance/repair on either equipment or installation. It just works as expected from day 1. Installers excellent in connection and explaining how it works, even setup apps on phone to gain best efficiency from unit and electricity provider. Fantastic installer and great customer care and service
Smarter Home Solutions have been a joy to deal with from start to end. The quoting process was really informative and helpful. We were provided several options to suit our needs and provided guidance we didn't even think of. The installation was smooth and everything you hope for from trades etc.Our installer was polite, punctual, tidy and did a wonderful job. He went above and beyond by checking in the following day to make sure all was working in order and no issues. All and all we had a great experince.

Great sales, install ok
Sale was great, Tim spent plenty of time explaining different options.Install was done by a subcontracted crew, even though I expected in-house installers.
I wish I would have been asked some aspects of the install design, but was kept out of the loop on the day, which led to disappointment.
Frank and Chris did attend afterwards to fix some of the issues. I would have preferred if nothing needed fixing.

Excellent End-to-End Experience

The team was punctual, professional and respectful of my home. The workmanship was of a high standard, communication was clear throughout, and they left the site clean and tidy.

Quality customer service and care
I have 2 installation interactions with Smarter Home Systems, and I have to say their customer care ethics are great. I have always been informed, installers arrive when scheduled, and any changes have been advised well ahead of schedule.The installer showed me how to use my battery and EV charger, and to install the App correctly.
I also have appreciated Chris taking the time to walk me through how to get the best (and lowest electricity bills) from my Sig battery (several times) now).

Professional, Quality & Honest
From the initial contact, professional and honest with price and what they could offer.The installation was exceptional with quality components and workmanship.
The independent inspector was punctual and fully conversant with the equipment and found no issues with the installation.
The follow-up service and communication was excellent, discussed the pros and cons in relation to different tariffs and set the system up as agreed, nothing was a trouble.

Fantastic company from start to finish
The team from Smarter Home Solutions is absolutely fantastic.Tim spent hours communicating with me via phone and email on what would be the best options for battery size and brand for our house.
There was never any pressure to upsize and go for a top or the range system that wasn’t necessary. Everything was well explained prior to signing any contracts.
Tim and Chris also spent time discussing the different options for electricity companies which allowed us to make an informed decision on the cost of the battery and what our monthly bills would be like.
Installation occurred on time and the team of electricians were professional and polite. The electricians explained how to turn the system on and how to navigate the app. The electricians gave great suggestions on installation and where to run the cabling and it looks so much neater than anticipated!
Tim then spent a further hour on the phone following installation to ensure the settings in the app were correct for our household usage.
We did have a slight issue where our discharge battery wasn’t enough to cover our electricity usage, with one email Tim organised Mick to help reset the app and now we are making money back with the feed-in tariff.
We have been extremely happy with the entire process and would recommend Smarter Home Solutions to anyone wanting to install a solar battery!

The whole end to end process with Smart Home Solution has been fantastic. Since I got in contact with Chris S, he knew what I needed, he guided me during the process and he is still answering my calls when I reached him for an advise, etc.The team cam and in one day they installed my solar and the battery. The job was neat and fast. The guys were on time, polite and did an excellent job.

Solar Pros
Had Smarter Home Solutions install our solar and battery system on 15/4/26 — 14 panels, a 10kW inverter, and a 48kWh battery — and couldn't be happier with the job.The install was tidy and professional from start to finish. The team took care when drilling through our double brick, cleaning up all the dust as they went, and they even cleaned out our switchboard while they were at it. They also did a full switchboard upgrade using Hager RCBOs.
On the day, the installer walked me through the full system setup so I knew how everything worked before they left. They'd also organised the electrical inspector to attend, who turned up right on time and was easy to deal with.
The system has been performing really well since it went in. No complaints at all — would recommend them to anyone looking at solar and battery.

The Best Team for Serious Home Energy Upgrades
We recently had Smarter Home Solutions install a 32.24 kWh Sigenergy SigenStor battery and backup solution at our house, and I cannot recommend them enough. Customer service was top-notch across the board, from the initial quotation and billing all the way through to post-installation support.The sales and quoting process was incredibly prompt and easy. I asked for a number of alterations along the way, and they were all quickly applied without any hassle. The installation itself went really well. The crew was right on time, polite, and made sure to clean up completely before they left. I was especially impressed that they went the extra mile to hide as many cables as possible—they managed to do the whole job with no additional external conduits run, which looks incredibly neat. A massive thank you to the team for a seamless experience.

Went the extra mile
Very easy sales process though I knew what I wanted. I chose Smarter Home Solutions because of reviews and clearly they know what they're doing.Mitch the installer did a sensational job. I was expecting a fair amount of conduit going here and there after reading SigEnergy reviews and looking at photos on here of other installs. Mitch took his time and was here quote late drilling and making it neat. He could have taken the easy option and I wouldn't have said boo. He just wanted to do the best job he could.
They told me about Globird as the retailer which I was sceptical about but I moved across and I'm in credit every day with my bills. Winning!

The staff for quoting and sales were very nice and polite and very helpful. The installers were very polite tidy and punctual lovely guys and the help afterwards was fabulous. I would not hesitate recommending Smart Home Solutions as my selection for our home battery selection and installation.The sales and quoting process was open, honest and factual. SHS provided lots of information and guidance and advice about the best solution for my home.
The installers were polite, friendly and helpful. They were punctual and cleaned up after their work. The installation was tidy and NEAT.
They completely rewired the old switchboard into a better layout and configuration.

Install happened far quicker than expected, no grid export still though
Was contacted promptly and given good information over the phone. After mulling it over and doing some research committed and got the panels installed. Cost me $4k out of pocket with the remaining 1.4k as a solarvic loan.Attendance was prompt, took the team a bit longer than they anticipated to get it all done but they were friendly and professional.
Only issue so far is I'm still not able to export to the grid but that's due to the energy retailer and other parties not pulling through yet

My review of installation by Smarter Home Solutions
There were several delays, where the original inverter was found to be faulty, and had to be replaced. A couple of times, I got a late notice that they could not be here on the day they had indicated a technician would arrive. Apart from the delays and the inverter replacement, the physical installation of both the panels and the battery was fine; they were careful of the tiles, and replaced several that had cracked, and they tidied up after their work. The inspection has occurred, and the system is working.17 October 2025
Reclaim heat pump install
Bought a Reclaim system. The guys know the products well. The installer came the same day because we had no hot water. Professional installation and took away the old hot water system and rubbish. A1 experience no complaints.
Brilliant installation. Excellent follow up
Couldn’t be happier with the job Smarter Home Solutions performed. The installation of solar panel and battery on a three-level inner city house was a little, but the whole job was done quickly, flawlessly with a minimum of disruption.
