Battery added to our solar - outstanding job
We had no hesitation in engaging Traeger Solar to install our battery, as they had done a fine job installing our solar system. Aaron Traeger visited to discuss what would be best for our needs and to ascertain where the battery should be located. The quote for the installation of our Sigenstor batteries and EV charger met our budget and the installation and subsequent inspection went without a hitch. We were especially pleased with the effort Aaron and his team made to place the conduit under our very tight (<15cm) subfloor area. We had expected that conduit would have to be attached along the outside of the east facing external wall from the switchboard and inverter to reach the battery location on the south facing wall, but Aaron managed to place it underneath the house. The end result was a very neat job and the team diligently cleaned up at the conclusion of the installation.11 May 2026

Top quality installation at an amazing price
Highly recommend Traeger Solar. Great family business; Aaron knows his stuff. Aaron Traeger who later installed the system personally came on-site to quote, was friendly and not at all pushy; unlike some other companies I didn’t need to deal with un-knowledgeable sales staff and pushy sales tactics. Also unlike some other companies I wasn’t expected to pay a huge amount upfront, or pay the full amount and have the rebate reimbursed later. The price was also much cheaper than the competition (I guess not needing to pay Sales staff?) and for the same price as others had quoted for a 16kwh battery I was unexpectedly able to double it with Traeger Solar and get a 32kwh battery! Given now is a busy time for solar and battery installations, Aaron gave realistic timelines and then beat them. He and the other installers were professional, respectful, and cleaned everything up well. Aaron is understandably a busy person with lots of work booked in, but it’s well worth the wait to get Traeger Solar to install your system.10 months later we asked Daniel: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The system performs as to my expectations.

Reasonable price, friendly and excellent attention to details
I contacted SolarQuotes for three quotes and ended up working with Aaron from Traeger Solar. From the outset, he took the time to really understand my needs and concerns, presenting a range of options with detailed recommendations—including a surprisingly affordable battery-equipped system.Throughout the decision-making process, Aaron was incredibly patient, answering my constant stream of questions thoroughly. He reviewed the design I had in mind, matched competitor pricing, and offered thoughtful advice without any pressure to upsell.
Initially, I wasn’t planning to include a battery, but I was curious about the cost and feasibility. I ultimately chose Aaron’s recommendation: a 16kWh Sigenergy battery system paired with a 19kW solar array. At no point did he try to push a more expensive setup—in fact, he advised that I didn’t really need such a large system.
Then, just before installation, the new government battery rebate was announced. To take advantage of it, I decided to add three more 8kWh batteries, bringing my total storage capacity to 40kWh.
Aaron’s team was punctual, respectful, and worked seamlessly together. The atmosphere was always positive, even with me nearby asking plenty of questions—they never showed frustration.
This was Aaron’s first time installing a Sigenergy system, and I had complete confidence in him. He didn’t disappoint. The installation took three days due to my complex, shaded roof, but the work was done with great care and attention to detail.
Today (July 2nd), Aaron returned to complete the commissioning and even made several upgrades at no extra charge. This included installing an awning over the batteries and replacing all of my circuit breakers to ensure they met current safety standards for battery systems.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Traeger Solar to anyone considering solar. Aaron and his team went above and beyond

Job well done
Sales quoting process was well documented and easy to follow. The installation went smoothly and was started a week earlier than expected. All staff were very friendly and left the site clean. Aaron has provided great customer service post installation and has organised grid connection.10 months later we asked Ian: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

The installation was done very efficiently; they arranged to come earlier than expected; they cleaned up neatly after themselves.
Quoting was done well; the supplier came at looked at our situation.The installation was quick . they were polite & considerate. They cleaned up after themselves. They came when they said they would.
The grid connection was organised & was implemented just over a week of the installation.
What is the charger?
They sent me the information for installing the current power outputs & usage, etc. The installation process was a bit clunky...
I would have liked to see a cumulative version of that information...
I requested a 10 kW set, but have not seen any output over 4 kWs (& that once only), even on a sunny day...

Excellent installers, tidiest installation I have ever seen.
Traeger listened to my requirements, answered my questions, and provided a detailed proposal with the reasons why. Everything felt like they were wanting to do this properly, and so I chose them with confidence.I am glad I did, because this project went really well. Every last detail was taken care of perfectly. Old panels were repositioned and rewired, new panels installed, equipment was laid out so as to minimise conduits. They even masked and painted the fire-resistant backing board.

BYD Battery Upgrade to existing system
Requested Aaron add a 16.6kWh BYD battery to existing Fronius 10kW / 13kW Solar system his team installed last year.Quality installation, completed quickly and efficiently. Cleaned up all the mess after themselves also.
Aaron is very friendly and the team is very competent.

Straight forward and great service!
Aaron and the team were professional and great! We had a 10kw of solar panels installed with 24kwh Sigenergy batteries! The team were clean, tidy and extremely punctual! Everything was handled by Aaron and team with the booking of the inspector after installation to the arranging of the rebates. 2 Day install process for both the battery and the panels.

Great quotes and install from Traeger solar. Easy to contact replied promptly, small company just the 5 but install went in without incident and the system sigenergy working better than anticipated by myself or the installer. 2 day install, nice and clean up after finished.Panel rating: 5/5

Job done right.
Aaron and his team are very impressive. The design and quote process for my panels and battery was straightforward, with much less pressure and presumption than the other installers I had dealt with referred from SolarQuotes. Very easy to deal with, clear communication and listened to what I needed. The installation was efficient, quick and tidy. Inspection was straightforward and all my many questions were patiently answered. I had complete confidence in them the whole way through. Highly recommended.
