Western Australia solar, battery and EV charger installer Connect Solar began operations in 2008. In 2017, the family-run firm re-branded to Solar My Home WA, and then back to Connect Solar in 2025.

My purpose is to bring affordable solar solutions to home owners across WA and bring the power back to you (pun intended). With over 12 years’ experience in the renewables industry installing solar and battery systems for home and business owners, I have the solution; I guarantee it!"

Exceptional Service
In 2022, Solar My Home(Solar Connect) doubled the size of our existing solar array and added a Fronius Gen24 Inverter/BYD battery system.The sales, installation and all ongoing support by Brad and his team has been extremely impressive and we wholeheartedly trust and recommend the company.
A good example would be when a fault developed last month with one of the original solar panels.
Solar Connect diagnosed the problem, temporarily isolated the faulty panel and then arranged and installed a warranty(!) replacement of the failed panel that had been installed back in 2014 by a different company. All without any input from us!

Disappointing
I had a new SolarEdge solar 10kW inverter and 9.7kW battery installed on 15 Dec 25 with a 2nd battery installed on 23 Dec 25. The total discharge capacity of the batteries combined is 10kW however Connect Solar (WA) did not upgrade the switchboard 25A circuit breaker and cabling back to the inverter to make the installation compliant. They are now saying that the replacement inverter for my existing SE5000H should have only been a 5kW not a 10kW and if I want the cabling and breaker upgraded it will come at a cost of $1200. The SolarEdge online promotion clearly stated that the default TradeUp promotion was for a 10kW inverter unless the installer chose a dropdown box as an alternative to order the 5kW replacement inverter. The SolarEdge state sales manager WA, is now requesting that they attend site and swap the inverter to a 5kW I imagine because my setup is currently non-compliant and they want to cover their butts. He has also threatened to have the config changed on my new 10kW inverter to that of a 5kW so I have taken this up with the ACCC and Consumer Protection. All of this has come about because my system failed on 29/7 which I believe was a result of Western Power changing the inverter config because it was incorrectly setup for exports to the grid from day 1.If I was you I wouldn't touch Connect Solar or SolarEdge with a barge pole!
