Green Choice Electrical is a proudly owned, and operated, WA based business which has been offering solar and green energy solutions to both commercial and residential customers since 2012, operating as a sole trader and then reverting to a Company structure in early 2017. We believe in, and support, the concept of sustainable energy and in the benefits achieved by reducing our carbon footprint.
Green Choice Electrical only employs Clean Energy Council Accredited Solar Installers and Solar Designers.
We install your new solar system using our own teams, therefore we don’t ever sub-contract your installation to other parties, and we support you after the installation is completed by providing you with a 10 year workmanship warranty.
At Green Choice Electrical we take great pride in what we do, and how we do it. We have completed over 4000 installations, we are always on time, our work is completed to a very high standard using quality products and we ensure we leave your property exactly the way we found it.

Outstanding service, price, and product
Green Choice were the only installer brave enough to install the number of required panels on my fairly small double story roof, where other contractors said it wasn’t feasible to fit that many panels. It took Green Choice some extra effort but they fit everything perfectly and to a high quality standard.Panel rating: 5/5

Great system and customer service
I was initially impressed by the no nonsense non-pushy approach to customer service. My questions were easily and readily answered, system design took into account our needs, and the price being reasonable certainly didn't hurt either. When we encountered a problem with possible installation dates, a few calls to reschedule others freed up a date we could work with without overly inconveniencing others. The installation itself progressed smoothly and efficiently.The system itself is great - we are effectively self sufficient for power from 6am to 5pm daily and that's with a big ducted a/c humming away for 7+ hours each day. Couldnt be happier!

Great installer, quality system at a good price
Good communication and was happy to work with me to quote and install a system and size which I was happy with and did not try to push particular products like some of the other companies.Install went well without any complaints.
Pricing was very competitive and their comms and work ethic was great. Overall very happy to recommend them.

Seamless Install
We decided to beef up our solar as the old system was only 3 kw and our power bills were still substantial. We upgraded the existing single phase power to 3 phase so we could install an 8.2 kw Fronius Inverter with 10.66 kw of REC Alpha 410W solar modules. This was about as big a system as we could fit on our roof and leave room for a future solar hot water.There was no requirement for a deposit which was nice, and the job went as smoothly as you can hope given its proximity to Christmas and everyone wanting things done yesterday. There was a delay in the inverter supply so the panels and supporting wiring went in 5 hours one day and the inverter the following week.
We paid extra for the Fronius smart meter and the WiFi was not perfect to start with (too many brick walls) but we installed a WiFi extender inside the house close to the inverter and it seems to be going OK. Initially, the smart meter did not monitor the grid connection so you only see the inverter output, but after I contacted the installer, they came around and fixed the problem so it now shows, solar production, consumption by the house and power to/from the grid.
Having got an email from Finn after the install with a checklist of paperwork that should be included with the install, I can see room for improvement with Green Choice Electrical on this front. Our previous installation had everything in one envelope which was great whereas I am about to start chasing the bits down to pull this together myself. They have emailed most things but it would be nice if it was all bundled together.
We went for a biggish inverter as we plan to install a battery and management system in 2023 to make sure we have lights during future outages that seem more likely and to reduce our power bills to grid connection fees only.
As we lost the rooftop pool heater matt, we have also installed a Madimack heat pump (17KW) which will use an additional 0.3 - 2.5 kw. The plan is to look at full electrification of the house (induction hotplate) and solar hot water heater) in the future.

The original 8.2 kW Fronius Symo system ran perfectly well for the 11 months it was installed.I have since replaced the original inverter which was not a hybrid one with a new 8.0 kW Symo Gen 24 unit and included a new 13.8 kW BYD battery which started operation from 12/10/23. So far, so good.
An expensive mistake not to sort hybrid/non hybrid out from day one.

Excellent service
Staff were extremely helpful and patient with our many questions. Installers arrived at the exact time and on the day they said they would. They were professional, helpful, courteous and willing to answer all our questions. They left our home clean and tidy and took away any rubbish. They carried out all necessary paperwork to ensure we were connected and made sure we were WiFi connected to the system app.Panel rating: 5/5

The installer maintained good communication throughout, ensuring a smooth process from quotation through to job completion. The installation itself was highly efficient, and the resulting work is tidy. Simple solar.
We were happy with Green Choice Electrical right from the beginning.Polite and friendly and not pushy at all.
Everything was as they quoted and on time as well.
We found them very helpful and efficient.
10 months later we asked Rob: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Twelve months on from installation and everything is good. Solar panels and inverter are fine, they just silently do their jobs. No maintenance or anything else I need to do.The power generated by the system plus the electrical rebates over the last year means we have not actually had a power bill at all. No bill for a year for our electricity. Zero, nada, zilch, not a single cent spent paying for power!
One of the best outlays on the house we ever spent. At this rate the whole system will pay for itself in about 5 years.
Solar is a great idea for anyone who wants to save money and also save carbon generation.
Highly recommend getting one installed.

Excellent Service

Great hassle free service.
This company was installing solar next door when i approached them.The quoting process was great, no pressure selling and happy to supply more than one quote for different combinations etc.

Great company with fantastic communication, very professional installers.
The quote process was really great with regular and prompt communication, happy with the quote.The installers were prompt, very professional and friendly with great knowledge of the panels and inverter.
Green Choice Electrical organised the grid install with Western Power, I didn't have to do anything. They also connected my inverter to the Fronius app which was appreciated.
Would definitely recommend Green Choice Electrical to anyone.

Very responsive to all emails, all staff were polite, installation was quick and looks good, and the value for system quality was better than other quotes received.They also helped chase up an issue with solar analytics and resolved this quickly.

Good Service
The sales person was very "REAL" , no hidden extras and offered a complete package , start to finish. The installation was prompt, efficient and very tidy, also very nice and polite young men.8 months later we asked Ian: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Yes our system is performing well although there has been no follow up call from Green Choice just to check. Three months after install our supplier Synergy chose not to read our meter which is near our front door unobstructed and decided to send a bill based on our consumption average prior to sola. This bill was incorrect and substantially higher than it should have been, i.e almost three times the amount. After three phone calls to Western Power and Synergy to whom i gave the correct reading to, the bill was re issued at a substantially reduced rate and this was all because one lazy meter reading person did not read our meter.Be aware !07 July 2022

Highly Recommend! Quality Service and Customer Care!
I didn't need to look any further after meeting Ben and Greg. Their knowledge and expertise was evident and they didn't push or press for the sale. Polite and friendly, I was comfortable with them from the start.I live in a rural area and expected there would be a delay for their visit to quote. This wasn't case. Ben and Greg were out within a matter of days and on a weekend too! I was amazed they gave up their personal time to come out and quote.
My questions were answered clearly and the process explained so it was easy to understand.
Their quote was competitive and a pleasant surprise. Install date was within 4 weeks.
Greg kept me informed throughout, not once did I have to follow up or felt left in the dark. Very reliable and true to their word. They put the customer first.
As far as the installation is concerned, Ben and his team did a fantastic job. The day was stress free for me, the guys got immediately to work and had everything in hand. When you see the installation of the panels and the inverter, you see the high quality of workmanship. Neat and straight, all looking and working as it should. Ben and his team clearly take pride in their work and I couldn't be happier.
For anyone considering solar,I definitely recommend contacting Greg and Ben.

Excellent company to deal with NO PUSHY SALES
Was given a quote for what I wanted within the first day and was given all the information I could need with absolutely no pushy sales. Greg and Ben were very easy to deal with and the price was better than expected for good quality components. Ben set up the app for us which is brilliant and basically there was nothing for us to do but say yes. And no deposit was needed, payment after installation. They don't use subcontractors either which was important to me. Would recommend.8 months later we asked Shelley: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
We have been very pleased with our solar system to date and gas been giving us good return on our investment. We haven't been through a whole winter with solar as yet to determine how well it offsets our winter bill but our spring summer and autumn bills have been very reduced. The company we went through were fantastic and haven't needed to contact them since installation as all is running as it should.22 May 2022

Green Choice Electrical
Out of the three quotes we arranged Green Choice Electrical's site visit and quoting process was very professional. We had plenty of interaction between Installer and us to ensure we picked the right system for our needs. Everything was completed within days from the Electrician coming in on the Friday to install electrics to the shed and Green Choice turning up on the Monday to install, all was completed in a morning. As we had a prior system we were already grid ready but Synergy had to update meter which was completed on the Tuesday.We would also like to thank Finn for all the information he had on his site certainly helped tremendously in making choices and geared with prior information to ask Installers questions when making site visits.
8 months later we asked Mike and Kyra: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Nearly 12 months later and still rate 5 stars, experienced no problems, even going through power outages. Outlaying extra for the Solar Analytics made us more aware of what we use and when, wish we had installed something like this with our original system 10+years ago. Only downside is we get next to nothing for what we send to the grid in WA, considering what they charge us for what we do use, hence monitoring via Solar Analytics has changed the way we use power.16 May 2022

Fronius jinko
Quote arrived promptly. It was clearly laid out. It did not include reams of marketing hype that were with the other three quotes I received.Spoke with Greg a few days later. He did not try to push a sale on me but would quote any system while stating "you don't need this".
Installation was moved one day at he installers request and I was fine with that. Perth was having some stinking hot days and I wouldn't want to be on a roof in 42C.
Installation had some pros and cons.
I heard a noise outside my house and three lads were unloading a trailer and looking at my meter box.
No one had knocked on the door when they arrived at the property.
Without getting into specifics they could do with developing some social skills.
My overall impression was they appeared to be rushed.
I had to ask what was going to happen and the time frame for the installation.
We did have a conversation about roof placement as it was an east west installation.
With hindsight I'm unsure if the east facing panels are in the right place but time will tell.
The placement and connections to the inverter is top class.
I was disappointed to find remains of cable ties cut from the panels which were securing the connectors littering the front of the house.
Probably more stars if they gave a few minutes when addressing the basics.

Good quality system at a good price
The quotation process was good and the choice of what could be supplied flexible.The installation was good except for one minor error which is being rectified.
My only negative in this install was that the installer who was an REC certified Installer didn’t know how to demonstrate registration of warranty for the 25yr product warranty. It took a phone call to REC in Sydney to fix the issue. In addition the installer (CEC registered) didn’t initially offer to supply the documentation required under Sect5 of the CEC guidelines. This is now being rectified.
Would recommend the company from an installation perspective but ensure you insist on all documentation.

Smooth and efficient installation
From first contact with Greg from Green Choice electrical in Perth the experience was first class. The comprehensive quote arrived within 24 hours and the site visit within a couple of days. Greg was responsive in addressing all my questions and adjusting the components within the original quoted price - which was very competitive with the second company that quoted. Once we agreed to proceed Greg organised all the required paperwork and the new digital meter was installed well before the installation on Dec 8. Ben and his team arrived at the appointed hour and the installation went without a glitch. The team were efficient and very clean - and the work seemed to my inexpert eye to be first class. Within 4 hours the system was generating 5Kw and I was able to verify this from the App Ben assisted in setting up on my phone. Would have no hesitation recommending Green Choice to others seeking a smooth process.06 December 2021

hasn't failed at all yet after first 12 months. produces enough power (5kW system) to keep my small (2 bedroom) home air-conditioned and appliances running all day with nil power bill - I now just pay the power company to run the TV at night.
