Amazing Staff
Nickel Energy was the only company out of three that came out to see us and answer any questions, thank you Kristian. The staff were amazing, especially Craig the installer who was very knowledgeable and is was possibly the nicest tradie we have ever had work for us. Craig explained how the battery works and also showed us how to use the solar app. Craig and Noah were punctual and cleaned up all the packaging as well as removing the old solar system and taking that away. We had decided to go with Nickel Energy after our meeting with Kristian as he couldn't have been more helpful and the quote came in around what he had estimated for us. Would definitely recommend Nickel Energy to anyone.Tony and Kerry

Quality Installation
Had a lovely in-person quote and planning session. Installation took a lot longer than expected, but the weather certainly didn’t help with that. Actual installation was neat and tidy. The solar is lovely and straight and the battery put in a convenient neat spot. My only negative is the relatively poor communication regarding the delay, and almost rudeness when I questioned time-frame - Lady on the phone nearly bit my head off.26 July 2026
Fantastic installation
We used these guys to install our solar panels 7/8 years ago and were very pleased with their work then, so opted for them again for our solar battery system. Seamless experience throughout the whole process from initial on site meeting (to work out what would suit us best), excellent communication keeping us informed and timeline for our installation. The team conducting the installation were very professional upon arrival consulting us throughout the install and answering any of our questions we had. Workmanship was exemplary with neat, tidy work and left everything clean and tidy once completed. They went through the app set-up with us to ensure we were comfortable with everything prior to them leaving.Would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking to purchase a solar system.

Excellent service from inspection to quotation to installation.
Inspection and quotation process by Kristian was excellent. He answered all questions and even provided advice on changes to our water heating system. Communication from Nickel Energy was efficient and friendly. Because of wet weather they were able to speed up the battery installation process as installers could not work on panel installation for others.The installation was carried out by StaticSolar. They notified us ahead of time and arrived at the stated time and day. The team of Ben and Baiden did an excellent job. They were polite and punctual and seemed to be very proficient in their work. After completion they explained everything and assisted in downloading the App software. Everything was tidied up perfectly.

Review
The guys at Nickel were great to deal with and did a good job, but the one thing I'd ping them for is communications with the customer on install dates. I know there were a lot of factors outside their control (supply of batteries, technician availability) but I spent a lot of time chasing for updates, with no reply. Even a call or reply to say they are not sure of a date yet due to... whatever... would have been appreciated. It's OK to reply to customers even if you do not have a definitive answer, and much better than not replying at all.I'd also wished they'd be able to recommend more battery storage right at the beginning as this would have saved me a lot of money. I know it's hard - you recommend the optimum battery storage and the customer goes OMG at the price. But if they presented you with the full facts of how much you will generate and what you can store, then I might have made the decision to get more battery storage right off the bat.
Fortunately the Deye system is modular so I simply added 3 more 5kW batts to the existing 3 kW batts, now having 30kW storage total.
The price shown is the initial install with the rebate, plus the subsequent battery expansion without the rebate

Quality Products, Clean Install, Poor Communications
Nickel provided the best personal interaction through the quotation process and the installation team did a very clean job. I chose Nickel because the products they offerred were of a higher quality for about the same price as the competition. I have no complaints at all with the installation team who were professional, polite and did a great job. Unfortunately, communications with the office in the lead up to installation was not great with difficulties locking an installation date despite this being a condition of sale as we had to fly from Melbourne to the Northern Rivers of NSW to be present during the installation. I was also unimpressed to be called the day before the installation to be advised that the solar panels we had chosen were unavailable and that I was being offered a different panel (perhaps of lesser quality, certainly less technically advanced). I have had no follow up since installation to assist with grid connect so am unsure where I stand on this.
Professional Installation
Nickel Energy were friendly, communicative and professional throughout the process. Everything was explained, the installation was neat and tidy, and I was kept informed. The battery itself is full of features, and the associated app is user friendly. I thoroughly recommend Nickel Energy/Static Solar.
