Excellent experience, installation and overall service
Very happy with PBR solar.The team installed a solar and battery system in inner suburbs of Melbourne.
The guys communicated perfectly prior to the install, so i knew exactly what to expect.
On the day of the installation, the guys were very fast to install a complex set of panels onto a 2nd story. They had a short window of time to get panels installed, between Melbourne showers.
Post installation, the PBR guys have been great, explained how the system works, and how i can run it myself.
They have responded to several queries post installation in a very short period of time, and answered my questions
I would use them again, and recommend to others.

An excellent solar installation experience
We couldn’t be happier with the quoting and installation process of our solar system. Paul was extremely helpful in adjusting our quote to exactly meet our energy needs, and based on our very minimal grid consumption even on gloomy days in winter he did an excellent job.The installation was very smooth with Dillon and his crew working efficiently and neatly to get the job done. Dillon also went out of his way to answer our many questions and to demonstrate how different parts of the system (battery / gateway / inverter) worked.
The after-market service was exceptional, with PBR organising the grid connection and the electrical inspector.
I am sure other installers might be a little cheaper, but they doubt they’d be as diligent, helpful and polite. I unreservedly recommend PBR to anyone looking for a solar installer. They were recommended to us and after seeing them work, I totally understand why.

Tailored Approach, Honest Advice and Top-Notch Workmanship
I recently had a solar and battery system installed by PBR Solar, and the entire team delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish.A huge amount of credit goes to Paul on the sales side. He spent hours across multiple sessions designing the right system for my home — there was no pushing of standard packages, just a genuinely tailored approach. Paul is incredibly honest, patient, and detail-oriented, and he really doesn’t mind going the extra mile to make sure you get the absolute best outcome.
That same level of care carried over to the installation, which was hands-on and led by the owners themselves. Dillion conducted a thorough pre-installation inspection to ensure our site was perfectly prepared, and Ethan was actively involved on the tools during the actual installation, ensuring top-notch workmanship.

Outstanding pre-sales support and flawless installation execution!
I recently had my solar panels and battery storage system installed, and the entire experience from pre-sales to final commissioning was top-tier.The process started with Paul’s exceptional pre-sales engagement. They took the time to refine the product choices with me, thoroughly working through various options to ensure the system configuration perfectly suited my needs.
The installation execution was equally impressive. Ahead of installation day, Dylan (the manager) came out to scout the location and prepare the groundwork, ensuring everything went smoothly. When the install crew arrived, they worked like a well-oiled machine. Every team member knew their exact role and executed it with high efficiency.
They arrived right on time at 8:00 AM and wrapped up cleanly by 4:00 PM. Beyond their technical skills, the crew was incredibly polite, respectful, and mindful of our home—taking their shoes off at the door without even being asked.
It’s rare to find a team that combines great customer consultation with such flexible, professional, and courteous installation work. Highly recommended!

Elite customer service
From start to finish, PBR Solar were highly professional. From the initial quoting and discussions of what was recommended for our house, to the day of installation where the installers were polite and courteous, to the follow-up post-install, everything went really smoothly. We had to postpone for a few weeks to get some amendments to our house done, and when that work wasn't finished on install day, they worked around us while we had other tradies on the roof as well. Very good value for money as well. I cannot recommend them enough (and our selection of PBR Solar came from another recommendation).12 July 2026
Great install and follow-up
From the initial quote, install and grid connection the whole process was clear and smooth. Although the weather was not on our side when the install day came, it was completed over 2 days. We have almost 60 year old terracotta tiles and they didn't even break one! A 1st I hear. They cleaned up everything and showed us how the battery and app works and what the next steps were. Issues: we had an issue with the battery system which they quickly managed to fix with Goodwe over the phone, so nothing they did, just an odd issue they hadn't encountered before (another 1st). Overall, very friendly team and easy enough to get hold of someone if you have any questions. Very happy with the whole system and team.Panel rating: 5/5

Highly Professional Solar Installer
The sales and quoting process was smooth and straightforward. Communication was clear from the start, the quote was detailed without being overly complicated, and they were happy to answer my several hundred questions without any pressure.Ethan helped coordinate the grid connection process and took the time to explain how to use the charger and system monitoring app properly. Even after having some issues with one of the connections he reached out to the Vendor to organise assistance.

Flawless Installation from contact to completion
Could not be happier with the whole teamFrom the first contact I made with the sales team after being recommended by a friend.
The installation was completed in one day from Ethan and his team of installers.
They were all respectful of our home and were clean and tidy throughout.

Great team, very easy expiriance from start to finish
The team at PBR were great.I enquired with different installers and found PBR to the most transparent, accomadating for my unique requests and very competetive with pricing.
The quotation team were very thorough during the initial stages to make sure everything was going to not only maximise the power generation but also run smootly on the day of installation.
The installation team were VERY professional, tidy and had great communication.
I am very happy with the outcome and if I was to go down this same process again I would not have changed anything.

Timely turnaround, exceptional service
PBR provided great guidance through the system options, covering panels, batteries plus catering for our proposed increase in electricity usage. Pricing very reasonable and competitive compared with 2 other quotes.Install time was by far the quickest and was completed even before the date set.
Professional installers who left the site clean and tidy.
Always felt that any concerns were a priority and always had time to explain any details, and fully instructed us on using the system. The cost savings have exceeded our expectations.

Great experience, transparent, straight up, professional
I did a lot of research and got quotes from over 10 installers based on SolarQuotes, MEEH Facebook, and personal recommendations. Honestly PBR were not neccesseraly the cheapest, but they itemised every cost and were very open and honest through the quoting process. The install was professional and great quality. I had another electrician in to do some work installing a stove and he commented on the quality of the work. Everything was left neat and tidy and you can tell its a very professional install. They taught us how to use the app, and its been a dream over the 2 months since install. I would not hesitate to recommend them - in fact I already have to 2 of my friends.Panel rating: 5/5

Reliable and honest rooftop solar installer
Friendly, honest and no BS for the sales/quoting process. Responsive to resolve options.On-time punctual installation a week earlier than the date promised in quote. Team of 4 installers with each member knowing what they were doing.
Supervisor (Dillon) was skilled at finding a panel layout that avoided shadows from trees. Keep me informed of progress during the day and did not rush the explanation of the system operation at the end of the day.
Neat and tidy installation of panels and inverter.
Also upgraded my switchboard.
PBR are managing the grid connection inspection and power export with the distributor (United Energy).
I have found PBR Solar to be a competent, honest and customer focussed rooftop solar system supply & installation company.

Good installers, would recommend
Sales was a pleasant process. Paul took plenty of time to design the appropriate system for my roof, walked me through various alternate designs, and answer in detail every question I had. They seem to know their stuff and that gave me the confidence to proceed with them.Lead time to installation was fairly quick at about 2 weeks. They were courteous, tidy and efficient on the day. Their claim of "owner operator" was true for me; Ethan and Dillon were directly involved during and after installation. There were some minor changes in system plan on the day that required additional minor components, they did it all without additional charge.There was a faulty device that I noticed after installation, I contacted them and they were back within 48 hours to solve the issue.
After installation, there were 2 software issues involving the Goodwe inverter and Goodwe EV charger. These were not at all the installers fault. The installers had to work with Goodwe to resolve them. However, I felt that communication around when and whether the issues were being resolved could be improved. In the end, 1 issue took around 2 weeks to be resolved. As of the date of this review, 5 weeks from installation, 1 minor issue involving solar-only charging and export to grid is still pending with no clear communication.
10 months later we asked Titus: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The solar system itself is performing great. However, the Goodwe app that I need to use to monitor the system and control my EV charger is extremely buggy and poorly designed.30 April 2026
High level of professionalism with an attention to detail
I contacted a dozen installers for quotes for a Sigenergy battery.Some were very slow at contacting me, others were very fast and endlessly pressured me with phone calls,
emails and messages.
When I contacted PBR and spoke to Paul, I outlined the details of what I was requiring for the installation.
The quote that I was supplied to me was the lowest that I had received up to that date.
In the photo he had clearly identified all the existing assets and locations of the proposed installation that I had mentioned on the phone.
I thought, somebody has finally listened and I'm speaking to the right people and with no added pressure sales!
A week later I received a message from PBR in regard to the quote, by then I had received other quotes, and it was a clearly obvious choice to go with PBR for the installation, but also PBR said that they were able to do the installation a month earlier than I was expecting, that was just an added bonus!
After paying the deposit, the next day Ethan dropped around to inspect the proposed location of the battery and gateway to see if there were any possible issues, all were easily sorted.
The day of the installation went really smoothly, a very highly competent crew headed by Dillon who all displayed a very high level of professionalism and work ethic with a attention to detail which resulted in a very neat and tidy installation, and all work was performed in only just a few hours.
I couldn't have asked for anything better.
I spoke to the electrical inspector when he came to inspect the battery installation.
He said, he knows that the standard of PBR's work is consistently high and that it will always meet all the required standards and regulations without any problems, that's why he inspects their work, no problems, no issues to deal with.
It's been nearly a month now since the Sigenergy battery was installed and it has performed brilliantly.
It has been put to the test with a number of storm warnings and my neighbours having the pleasure of being blacked out a number of times, but also, two of the disconnection of supply were by my poles and wires.
I've never noticed when the disconnections and reconnections that have occurred,
a totally flawless performance by the Sigenergy battery, as exactly how it should be.
The software for the Sigenergy battery is fabulous, so much detail in so many aspects, so much in fact that I'm still getting my head around it all. On the day of the installation Dillon did all the software connection and displayed a total mastery of all of it, and with an introductory explanation on numerous aspects of how it all operates to get me going.
All I can say is, get a quote from PBR not only for solar and battery installations, but also for just general electrical work.
I know that from now on wards I'll be getting PBR for any further electrical work I require.

Exceptional service and great communication
I cannot recommend PBR highly enough. We installed Jinko panels paired with a Sigenergy SigenStor battery and full three phase backup gateway. From the initial planning stages with Paul, Paul guided us through the installation very clearly and provided options by putting a clear quote. Paul is very responsive and quick-handed on all the paper work including the quotation and filings for the rebate.The final installation led by Ethan, the entire team was incredibly professional. On installation day, Ethan and the installation team arrived on time and they provided valuable advice on how we position the system kept the wiring are clean and tidy.
The system came to live on the same day and running well which reduced our power bill significantly since installation.
10/10 - would absolutely recommend PBR to the others

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Install is great, and communication and service fantastic.
We're very happy with our new system and our experience with PBR Solar. Paul took time to work through the different options when putting a quote together and designing the system, and communication throughout has been excellent.We went with a Sigenergy system - 48kWh of battery storage, 20kw inverter, Gateway with whole home backup, and 17kw of solar which was made extra challenging due to the design of the roof with it's many hips and valleys.
On install day they arrived on time and got to work, and did an amazing job - the crew were friendly and efficient, were clearly very experienced, and the whole install is as neat as a pin and working flawlessly.
We couldn't recommend them more highly, and will certainly be doing so with any friends or family looking for a solar and/or battery system.

Absolutely flawless experience from start to finish. The team was punctual, professional, and explained every step of the solar + battery install in plain English.They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and left the site clean. The system was switched on the same day and they walked me through the monitoring app so I actually understand what’s happening.

Outstanding Quality and Customer Service
Pre-installation, Paul worked hard to make the experience on my end streamlined and effortless. From explaining the function of the product/service to every last detail and taking his time to answer my questions, he really made the experience comfortable and enjoyable.On installation day, Dillon and his team arrived on time and carried out their works in a very clean and professional manner ensuring I was more than happy with the final product. Post-installation Dillon took his time to walk me through every detail on how the system operates and how I can control features from my smart device.

Genuine and professional installer!
The process with PBR has been brilliant from the start. Paul W was thorough and totally transparent with the quoting and buying phase. He spent an inordinate amount of time educating us on solar systems and advising on practical considerations so we could make an informed decision not just for our immediate needs but for the long term. Equally, the installation went incredibly smoothly with Ethan, Callum and the team delivering the products and services to expectations. They were all respectful, polite, punctual and helpful, even locating and advising of a water leak in the roof (unrelated to the solar system installation) that could have caused a lot of grief down the track! We were very grateful for the priority given to the safety of all involved in the installation. The process beyond the installation was clearly explained and has transpired as planned. Callum trained us on how to use the products and Sigenergy app (which is great!). Dillon and Ethan have also been readily available to answer queries and check in that the solar system is working properly. This is testimony to their commitment to customer service and the reputation of their business. Dillon and Ethan are obviously recruiting and training their staff well because the customer service ethos that they role model is demonstrated by all staff. Professional - Highly recommended
PBR is very professional and a great company to deal with.They are knowledgeable, know their products, easy to talk to and made the whole process from quotation to installation seamless .
Paul was excellent with design, listened to our initial requirements and explored options on panel size and battery combinations. They invested a lot of time modelling estimated solar production over summer and winter and the impact of shading.
We really felt confident with our final plan and at a competitive price.
Ethan and the team were very professional and efficient on installation day. Extremely happy with the outcome.
The system and app are very user friendly.

An excellent installation
Unpressured planning and quoting processA last minute change to the panel layout was explained and implemented very well
Installation was done in a day. A couple of unfinished tasks were dealt with promptly to complete the job
A polite and friendly team of installers.
Very neat finish inside and out
Handover was as detailed as needed with reassurance that any questions will be handled as they arise
A conservative estimate of when the final inspection and grid connection was given.
In hindsight, I realised I did not take into account self-consumption of the old system's generation when calculating the average daily use. The impact of the under-measurement will be on how long I can expect the battery to run the house during a blackout

PBR Solar: Technical Experts for Complex Hybrid & Smart Home Setups
I recently had PBR Solar install a massive 50kWh GoodWe battery system, paired with my existing solar, and I couldn't be happier. As an IT professional who manages a complex smart home, I had very specific requirements for local control and integration that go far beyond a standard "plug and play" install.Sales & Quoting:
The process with Paul and Dillon was transparent and efficient. They were happy to dive into technical specifications that other companies glossed over, which gave me total confidence that a battery stack of this size would be configured correctly for my specific energy needs.
Installation:
The crew arrived exactly on time. The conduit work and physical installation of the inverter and battery stack in the garage are exceptionally neat—true professional-grade workmanship. They treated the property with respect and left the site spotless.
Technical Support & Service:
Unlike "slap and dash" installers, PBR stayed engaged through the entire process. When we hit a few technical hurdles with the BMS communication and firmware logic, they didn't disappear. They were incredibly responsive, returning to troubleshoot until the system was fully "talkative" for my automation needs.
They also managed the grid connection paperwork with the distributor and provided a thorough walkthrough of the system's operation. It’s rare to find a team that truly understands the back-end logic of the hardware they sell. If you want a neat, professional install backed by genuine technical support, I highly recommend Dillon and the PBR crew.

Very professional company
The PBR team were very professional from the initial quote the installation. Their pre-sales engineer was fantastic and guided us through the sizing process.The installation electrician arrived on time with a dedicated team who worked very hard to get the entire four string panel array, battery stack and gateway installed in a single day.
We are very happy with PBR and would highly recommend them. We plan on engaging them again later in the year for our EV charger installation.

The team at PBR Solar did a brilliant job from start to finish! Paul was very prompt and detailed with the initial design and quote and tailored the system to perfectly suit our needs. Many thanks to Dillon and his team at PBR Solar. Starting with Paul the senior consultant. He talked us thru all our options and explained it thoroughly how it will work. He gave us options on the different brands and costs of systems and left the final decision to us. No pressure. The solar industry needs more honest, quality operators like PBR. I 100% recommend this company, and explain why
I received 4 quotes for our solar and battery install, and was left with a distinct 'used car salesman' vibe so pressed pause. In passing a work colleague mentioned they just had a great experience with PBR Solar, but my colleague "wasn't price sensitive" so I immediately thought PBR would be more expensive. I called and spoke to Paul, who is incredible at his job. He listened (after 4 quotes I knew vaguely what I thought I wanted), he suggested, and listened, and suggested. When we landed on the job I asked him to quote it up and it arrived by email an hour later. PBR's quote was in the range of the 4 previous quotes. Do they install or do they sub-contract? They install! Check the SolarQuotes 'questions to ask' and they tick all of them. I signed that day and our system was installed a month later (solar 11.76kW; 15kW inverter; 32kW sigenstor). Ethan, one of the two owners of PBR did the install. He was incredible and the team did the job in one 11-hour day). They broke 14 terracotta tiles (6 less than they told me to expect given 6 guys installed 24 panels (tick!)), eliminated one wasp nest (tick). As I write this we're two weeks post install, and our grid consumption is down 94%. I'll finish by saying that I also called Brightworks Solar and was similarly impressed so you should give them a call. But PBR Solar is 100% recommended.16 February 2026
Premium Installer who cares about the outcome of your install
We recently had PBR Solar install a Sigenergy solar and battery system at our home and the entire experience was exceptional.From the outset Paul was fantastic to deal with. In our conversations, he took the time to understand our goals and energy usage rather than what other installers did, trying to push a one-size-fits-all solution. He designed a bespoke system tailored specifically to our needs and even though it would mean a more difficult install, it would lead to a better outcome for us. Paul even took the time to provide a comparison between the designs and why he put forward his design.
During the installation, I was impressed to see that one of the business owners was working onsite. Something they told me they always do, to ensure the work meets their standards. Ethan and his team were great to deal with and clearly took pride in their work. Even though the installation took longer than initially expected and was carried out during 40c weather in January, the team never complained, remained focused on delivering and more importantly at no extra cost. What stood out most was Ethan’s attention to detail. When it came to running interior cabling, he took the time to neatly route conduits out of sight and even adjusted placement of the battery to make it easier for us to use the EV charger. It was obvious he cared about his work and that the system work as best as possible for us.
Since going live, our home has effectively been operating off-grid, and we’ve been able to run our air conditioning without hesitation. The Sigenergy app provides fantastic visibility and control. Paul also followed up after the installation to make sure everything was working properly and to see if we had any questions demonstrates their commitment to customer satisfaction.
We couldn’t be happier with both the system and the team at PBR Solar. Their attention to detail, and genuine care sets them apart from the other installers we got quotes from. We’ve already recommended them to friends and would not hesitate to do so again.

PBR were brilliant
My wife and I are very house proud and PBR took great care with the installation to ensure wiring etc did not spoil the look of our house in any way.They consulted with us on positioning etc to make sure we were happy.
On completion the team leader showed us how to use the App so we could monitor the system, and helped us install it on both of our phones.
The system works really well and the PBR team were very courteous and efficient.
From the initial proposal and quotation stage through to pre inspection and installation, PBR were an obliging company to deal with, and we had confidence in all the advice they gave.

Great experience from go to whoa
Paul at PBR spent hours with us over several sessions, designing a customised system based on our household needs both now and into the future. Install wise, Dillan and the team were punctual, worked fast, completed the job within their time estimate and left the site spotless. We're about 10 days in now post installation and everything has been working amazingly well.Panel rating: 5/5

Very happy with PBR battery install!
Paul provided excellent presales support which was further strengthen by Ethan's timely onsite visit. Both were very willing to answer all my 'layman' questions in language I could understand. In the end I opted for a Sigenergy 24kwh battery with an 8kwh inverter. I already had panels.On the day of the install Dillion and the team did an excellent job. They arrived on time, were extremely polite and left the site in a clean and tidy state. Additionally, after discussion on the day Dillion uninstalled my previous inverter to further 'future proof' my system. This was done at no additional cost.
Overall, their customer service is exceptional as they arranged all the paperwork and explained how to use the Sigenergy app. prior to leaving the site. I have not required any after sales support!

Cannot Fault
I cannot fault PBR Electrical from the point of initial contact through to completion of the installation. Paul completed a comprehensive analysis of our power usage and pattern to determine the optimal panel number and position. He explained why he was recommending the configuration we installed, giving opportunity to question and change at any point. The installation team led by Ethan, was punctual, efficient and were done on the same day. In terms of being neat and tidy, I think they left the place cleaner than they found it! Ethan consulted me on any variations required (and we had a couple due to the switchboard and shadow of a tree that were identified once on site, both of which were completed at no additional charge) and the communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Once the installation was complete Ethan assisted me to setup the app and ran through how to use it as well as provided an overview of the battery. Support contact details were also provided. As I said, cannot fault anything in the process and would not hesitate to recommend or use again.23 January 2026

They were very competitive price wise, friendly and informative from the start of the quoting process all the way through the installation. The whole process progressed smoothly and without complications. Also, my roof is terracotta tiles on a 30% degree angle - not a roof I feel comfortable walking on, so all credit to the team.20 January 2026
Great service and installation
Contacted PBR Solar via Solar Quotes. Paul came out on site within couple of days and explained and discussed the different alternatives and shortly after sent 3 options through to me. I did some research and decided on 16kw panels, 32 kw battery and all the other technical bits that come with it.Gave me an install date, Dillon visited to do the ‘checks’ a few weeks later. On install date they turned up on time and installation was completed by mid afternoon, managed efficiently and informatively by Ethan.
I’ve only used a little bit of grid since installation as I charged my EV too late in the day. I’ll start charging it more often so it can take advantage of the sun and I don’t have to rely on the battery. Using aircon, pool filter etc etc.

Very responsive team. Good installation.
Initially contacted Ethan, and then worked with Paul in hammering down the details for my system. Paul was the best customer service person I spoke to across numerous companies. Ethan, Dylan and their team did a geeat job installing my system. Had a minor hiccup with getting exports sorted, but oferall can highly recommend and I have done so to my friends. Great service.
