You’d be forgiven for thinking you’d seen Victoria’s installer podium before. The same three companies that made the top three in 2025 are back again this year, although Jet Solar and Brightworks Solar have traded places at the top.
The rankings are based on a weighted calculation of customer reviews published on the SolarQuotes website over the past year. This gives smaller companies with fewer reviews a fair chance against their bigger rivals.
They’re based on customer reviews, not selections made by SolarQuotes staff, and all Victorian installers with review listings are considered, whether or not they’re part of the SolarQuotes installer network.
Here are Victoria’s best-rated solar installers for 2026.
First Place – Jet Solar
After finishing second last year, Jet Solar has gone one better in 2026.
The Rowville-based company grew out of Jason Dickinson’s electrical business, JLD Electrical Services, which he started in 2015. Jet Solar followed a few years later and today installs solar, batteries, EV chargers and heat pump hot water systems.
Asked what had put Jet on top this year, the company pointed to keeping its installation team in-house rather than using subcontractors.
“Our dedicated team of in-house installers — rather than subcontractors — gives us complete control over the quality and consistency of every installation.”
Jet also says it avoids taking a one-size-fits-all approach to system design.
“We take the time to understand each customer’s individual needs and recommend solutions that genuinely suit their home or business, not a one-size-fits-all package.”
Recent customer reviews reflect both of those themes.
Gordon, who had new solar panels and a Tesla battery installed, singled out the advice and attention to detail before the installation as well as the care taken on the day.
“My wife and I were very happy with Adam at Jet Solar. His advice, his attention to detail, his quoting and care in taking us through the process of providing new solar panels and a Tesla battery was very professional.”
He also praised the installation team for explaining what they were going to do, taking care during the job and cleaning up afterwards.
Another customer, Alex, was particularly impressed by what the installers did after discovering some damaged roof tiles.
“The team went above and beyond while up on the roof, spotting and replacing several tiles that were already cracked and broken from before they even started the job. That kind of care and honesty is hard to find.”
He also praised Jet for doing the job properly “without cutting corners”.

Second Place – Brightworks Solar
Last year’s Victorian winner, Brightworks Solar, takes second place in 2026.
The family-run business services much of Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, installing solar and batteries along with EV chargers and heat pump hot water systems.
Brightworks uses its own installation team rather than subcontractors. Recent SolarQuotes reviews regularly mention detailed site inspections and system advice, communication through the installation process and follow-up afterwards.
With a first and second place finish over the past two years, Brightworks remains a regular at the top of Victoria’s installer rankings.

Third Place – PBR Electrical & Solar
Third place goes to PBR Electrical & Solar, which also finished third in Victoria last year.
The Rowville-based family business has been installing solar since 2014 and services Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs with solar and battery systems.
Its recent reviews contain many of the same themes that put it among Victoria’s top three last year, including detailed system design, straightforward advice, communication and tidy workmanship.
Customers also regularly mention the effort taken to tailor systems to their household rather than simply offering a standard package.
