WA’s Best-Rated Solar Installers: 2026

Top-rated solar installers 2026 in WA

There are some familiar names at the top of Western Australia’s 2026 solar installer rankings, with last year’s winner taking first place again and a new contender moving into second.

The awards use a weighted calculation of customer reviews published on the SolarQuotes website over the past year. This gives smaller companies with fewer reviews a fair chance against their bigger rivals.

The rankings are based on customer reviews, not selections made by SolarQuotes staff. All Western Australian installers with review listings are considered, regardless of whether they’re part of the SolarQuotes installer network.

So, who made WA’s top three this year?

First Place – Regen Power

For the second year running, first place goes to Regen Power.

The Canning Vale-based company has been around considerably longer than most solar businesses. Founded in Perth in 2003 by Professor Chem Nayar, Regen says it has now completed more than 45,000 installations.

It installs residential and commercial solar and battery systems, along with EV charging, but CEO Dr Nikhil Jayaraj says what happens after a system is installed is a big part of the company’s approach.

“At Regen Power, our relationship with a household doesn’t end when the system is switched on. It starts there. Our aftercare, monitoring and responsive service are what customers remember, and they are what they write about.”

Education is another part of the equation.

“Solar and batteries are a significant investment, so we help every customer understand exactly how their system will perform before they commit.”

Regen is also an industry partner in a current Curtin University research project examining household energy use, battery storage, and AI.

But awards based on customer reviews ultimately come down to what happens in people’s homes rather than the research lab.

Hien had both solar and a battery installed and was particularly happy with the support that followed.

“I’ve also been very happy with the after-sales support. Whenever I’ve had questions or needed assistance, the team has been responsive and quick to help.”

Stephen’s experience picked up another of the themes Nikhil raised.

“The team were friendly, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. Everything was explained clearly, and the installation was completed to a high standard.”

Second Place – Koala Solar

Moving into second place this year is Koala Solar.

The family-run WA business traces its roots back to Line Tech Energy in 2012, with the Koala Solar name introduced in 2015.

It operates across Perth and the South West, installing solar and batteries as well as EV chargers and heat pump hot water systems. Koala says its installations are carried out by its own accredited team rather than subcontractors.

Communication, detailed advice and artistry feature regularly in its recent SolarQuotes reviews.

Third Place – Positive Energy Solutions

This year’s third place goes to Positive Energy Solutions.

The Osborne Park-based WA business is no stranger to these rankings. It topped SolarQuotes’ Perth installer rankings in both 2023 and 2024 before finishing second in last year’s statewide awards.

Positive Energy installs solar, batteries, EV chargers and heat pump hot water systems, and has a physical showroom in Osborne Park.

Its recent reviews frequently mention the advice customers received when choosing and sizing systems, as well as communication and installation quality.
