Koala Solar is a local, family-run business based in sunny Perth, WA. Our installation team are CEC accredited solar installers – experienced electricians on a mission to help all West Australians achieve energy independence. Started in 2012 as Line Tech Energy, we became Koala Solar in 2015.
You’ll notice the systems we install are a little different: quality solar systems that include a 10-year workmanship warranty, aftercare support and maintenance.
Koala Solar provides residential and commercial solar systems in Perth and the South West region, with a wide range of solar panels, inverters and batteries available to add value to your property.
We are also Fronius Solutions Partner and Tesla Powerwall Certified Installers.
Koala Solar is an Approved Retailer of the Clean Energy Council of Australia, and our inhouse installers are qualified and CEC certified electricians. Excellence All Around
Sales was quick and responsive. Acquired contact within 24 hours leaving details on their website.Quoting process was quality all around. There was simplicity, honesty and understanding with little to no tangent. (I had thoroughly researched all panels and inverters prior to initiating contact). This process, among many other installers, Koala Solar was exceptional due to listening and understanding of their clients wants. This was achieved by providing their honest opinion on products available.
Installation team was polite, punctual, efficient, and tidy. The installation of the panels and inverter finished within three hours, to my surprise. In the aftermath, the team was informative on the access of the live feed data.
Customer service was exceptional among all the other mentioned process. Everything was mentioned thoroughly in the quote and carried off as stated. Applications was accepted and approved prior to installation. Connection felt effortless due to the team at Koala Solar and no obstacles was encounter in any of the process.

Local Business
I received two quotes, one with batteries and one without, with both showing how long until they paid themselves off.The whole process was a breeze, with koala organising the government rebates. The installation was done in less than 4 hours and I was shown how to access the inverter on an app on my phone.

Friendly and punctual team!
Koala Solar made the whole installation process quick and easy.They provided quotes online promptly that clearly outlined the costs and process and explained the pros and cons of the different panels and systems.
On the installation day, they arrived on time - which is becoming a rarity for tradespeople. They were efficient and helpful, taking the time to help me set up Solar Web app.

Fantastic installer
From the very first contact to the final installation Koala Solar were total professionally, friendly, efficient, helpful, prompt and very friendly.They were on time and very professional when it came to the installation of the panels. Helping us to download the App and how to use it making it nice and simply for us. Always smiling and happy to help in any questions you may throw their way.
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for Solar Panels, they are definately a 5 star company in our eyes.

First class service throughout!
The service from Koala Solar from start to finish was spot on! We were provided an initial quote and the team were very responsive with a few questions asked. The process for accepting the quote was completed electronically and very user friendly. Upon acceptance, we were called by the support team to confirm our details and book in an installation date. This was very personable and impressive and provided a good level of confidence these guys were going to do a good job! We had an issue with our WP tariff but this was quickly resolved and Koala provided ongoing support and assistance with the process. All paperwork and applications were all dealt with by the Koala team and so we didn't need to worry about any of this. The installation went ahead as planned and although we had some infrastructure already in place, this was deemed unsuitable but the install team were very proactive and provided an alternate solution that was neat and tidy. The team on site were neat and tidy and explained the install to us on the day. Work was completed in less than a day and we are delighted with the end result. The team also assisted with the setup of the mobile app as well and we are now just awaiting receipt of all our warranty paperwork being issued. A great service from start to finish and would certainly recommend Koala Solar to others in the future. Well done guys, great service!

Awesome service, excellent team, great price
I felt at ease with Koala Solar from start to finish. Each of the people I dealt with were awesome.Adam provide clear, factual information and was patient with my many questions. I never once felt pressured.
The quotes were easy to read and it was a smooth process through accepting the quote through to booking.
On the day Stu and Callum were prompt, friendly and polite. They explained what they would be doing and when and ensured as little disruption as possible.
I felt at every point the process was explained and there were no surprises. Koala are such a great company to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Great Installation on Rear Shed
Koala Solar installed a 13.2KW solar system on a rear shed at the property. They overcame challenges in communications between the main meter board and 2 other sub boards. I chose Koala Solar based on their pofessionalism, knowledge and quality of products offered since their price was not the cheapest. The team that carried out the installation were prompt, courteous and reasonably tidy. I would have given 5 stars for installation except that they left a lot of what appeared to be drilling swarf all over the brick paving which I had to spend an hour vacuuming it out of all the the brick joints.Overall, I was very pleased with their service.

Did what others couldn't
Our house is 2-storey and the roof has a 45 degree pitch, making the install difficult. Koala did an amazing job with our difficult install, with great communication, very quick turnaround, and a friendly install team. They were not the cheapest quotation we received, but they were the only company that were actually able to figure out a safe way to do the installation -- unlike other companies we approached, they didn't waste our time quoting without taking a proper look at the challenges.13 October 2023

Excellent Service
Koala Solar did a phenomenal job and the price was $500 cheaper than a GoodWe inverter quote of another reputable business. The sales rep was able to get me all information and answer all my questions. The office also was extremely helpful in terms of paper work more questions and keeping you up to date where you are at in the process, they even noted jobs to fit in my preferred date. I would say the install was very quick and the team were very friendly. The techs stayed behind to ensure the system was running and thoroughly explained how to use the app to maximise solar usage. They were very professional all around and it was a pleasure working with them. Still early days but I am looking forward to comparing synergy bills.01 October 2023

Hassle Free Installation, professionally done.
Koala's quote was complete and professional and included all the relevant information including terms and conditions, warranties, what was included and excluded. They had the quoted materials in stock and from placement of order to installation was just over a week.The installation team showed up right on time and reviewed the installation with me. The installation was as expected and done very professionally. The team assisted with the set up of the app and the system was on line when they left. The worksite was left clean and tidy and they took their rubbish with them.
Ours is a clay tile roof and I ensured I had some spares but they didn't break any tiles.
I have already recommended Koala Solar to a friend who also had a good experience with their installation.

Hassle free from start to finish.
The quoting process was seamless. I was provided with several quotes and they were more than happy to adjust them as we requested. They were also happy to answer questions and provide explanations where needed.The installers were very punctual and the installation took less time than I was expecting, for a large system. The team were polite and tidy and left our house as they found it.
After the installation, one of the men stayed behind to set me up with the appropriate apps on my phone and helped me navigate the apps. This was extremely helpful!
All the installers were respectful of our home and I was very impressed by the tidiness of our inverter and battery within our garage.

Could not have been easier...
The process through Koala Solar was extremely easy. I provided the details of what I was looking for and within a day, had all the information including a quote to make a decision. Price wise, the quote was better than what a family friend could install the same system for. Booking process and what was required was easy.On day of installation, the installers were on time and got it done in just a few hours.
All aspects of what was required was handled by Koala Solar inclusive of an upgrade to my power supply through Western Power.

We made the right choice
Very happy with our choice to use Koala to do our solar install. From the beginning they were easy to deal with and quick to reply (also happy to answer all my questions - no matter how silly they seemed). The Installers arrived on time, the work was completed quickly and they were polite and friendly - taking the time to explain everything and even chat to my 3yo who followed them around.Very happy with the whole process. Very professional company

First class service and product.
The crew at Koala Solar are excellent. They were able to provide us with a quote in a timely manner and answered all our questions thoroughly. The installation process was conducted efficiently and they also helped us to set up the Wi-Fi connection and app after the installation was complete. Koala Solar Very good customer Service
Decided to do solar hot water and power in one go. Company rep did a good job of helping navigate the price/quality decisions and installation was prompt and professional. We went with a 6.6KW system for the power, and the hot water system replaced the old with a like system so it was convenient.The install was tidy and the only small issue was solved the day it was pointed out. Overall very good service and polite installers.
The grid connection was handled by Koala and was connected within a day of install.
Overall good experience and would recommend Koala

Solar panels
My solar panels were fitted today and I'm delighted with the result. The installers were punctual, efficient, friendly and helpful, giving me advice on how to install the inverter app on my mobile and cleaning up afterwards.From the beginning when I was seeking quotes, I had excellent service from Koala Solar, with staff taking the time to answer my questions and keep me informed without being pushy or intrusive. Once I'd accepted the quote, I was kept informed all through the procedure so that I was aware of what to expect and when. The inverter is compact and much neater and fits comfortably on the wall in my garage.
I am very pleased that I chose Koala Solar for my solar panels. I highly recommend them.

Always let me know what was happening
Sales Quoting was simple, The installation was done and removal of old system in half a day, Grid organised by the installers, they also organised the warranty card as well.10 months later we asked Peter: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
The only problem I have, I live in the country and the voltage (electricity) is a problem, so even though my unit is 5.5 khw I am only using half do to the voltage in the lines, well that's according to Synergy, who did a few tests after I called them when told about it by the installers. Don't know if that makes any sense to you it doesn't to me, but I am only getting 1/2 of what I hoped.Peter

From the informative sales person, efficient admin personnel who organised all the mundane grid connections etc, and the great installation team, all my dealings with Koala have been exemplary. Not at all pushy, answered all my questions. Provides advice I could trust, local people with local knowledge. A no brainer choice
I obtained three equivalent quotes from other well known installers and, hands down Koalas quotes were the most competitive. The quoting process was seamless and efficient and queries were responded to promptly. There was no hard up sell and relentless follow up. From confirmation of system choice the unit was installed within a week despite poor weather on the day. Synergy approvals sorted immediately. It’s been up and running for almost a month and no issues to date. Installers were punctual, polite and professional. Highly Recommended
So I finally decided to take the plunge to 'solar power'. I found the salesman very easy to talk to and he explained the whole process very well and ensuring my meter box was compatible solar. The in house installers arrived on time and were EXTREMELY efficient in the installation of solar panels and Inverter. They left the area neat and tidy.Customer service was excellent with communication via emails, messages and phone calls. Keeping me totally updated with time frame for installation, Western Power EGA Application and all Relevant Documentation they dealt with, including Government Installation Rebate.

Professional Installation
Sales representative Sean was honest & informative, not pushy.With the wet weather forecast we expected a cancellation, but through rain & shine our installation went very smoothly.
The guys arrived on time. Professional team that did a great job.

Great service and Fantastic install
I contacted Koala Solar for a quote, I had an immediate response from Adam was professional and honest as he guided me through, my options of which panels and inverter would be suitable for my home. I settled on a 6.6kw system with a Goodwe inverter and JA deep blue Solar panels.The install team turned up on the time as relayed to me by the administration.
The installation was swift and efficient, with very little impact on us. It actually surprised me how efficient they were as the installation took far less time than I thought. After the install, I was guided on how to install the app on my phone by the installer ( sorry, I cannot remember his name) he ran through how it works and suggested to me at what times to run my appliances through the day to get the full benefit from the Solar install. The work site was left near and tidy as if no one had been here.
Fantastic job Koala Solar - I would recommend you to anyone wanting solar panels for their home.
