Koala Solar is a local, family-run business based in sunny Perth, WA. Our installation team are CEC accredited solar installers – experienced electricians on a mission to help all West Australians achieve energy independence. Started in 2012 as Line Tech Energy, we became Koala Solar in 2015.

You’ll notice the systems we install are a little different: quality solar systems that include a 10-year workmanship warranty, aftercare support and maintenance. 

Koala Solar provides residential and commercial solar systems in Perth and the South West region, with a wide range of solar panels, inverters and batteries available to add value to your property. 
We are also Fronius Solutions Partner and Tesla Powerwall Certified Installers. 

Koala Solar is an Approved Retailer of the Clean Energy Council of Australia, and our inhouse installers are qualified and CEC certified electricians. We have completed thousands of solar panel installations in Perth and throughout Western Australia suburbs. When you engage our services, you can expect:

Best company ever dealt with

Koala Solar sent me a quote online and that was it. No pushy calls or messages whatsoever, in fact I never heard from them again until I called them after also getting a number of quotes from other companies in the meantime.
Once I finally called them, they booked it in that was that. They actually called me while I was waiting for the install and they offered me an earlier install date, which I kindly accepted.
Punctual and polite, the install was awesome and Koala arranged everything with the energy retailer, I didn't have to do a thing. The best part? No broken roof tiles. The installers set me up with the app on my phone, cleaned up every bit of mess and left. I have made a couple of enquiries with them since the install, only from being a solar amateur, and they were very helpful.

Easy and quick installation!

The Koala Solar team were very easy to work with. They were quick to respond to our email questions. They showed up on time and were finished before mid day. They did a great job checking in and made the installation process stress free.

Koala Solar | Absolutely stood out against others

With so many companies in the solar market, it was absolutely worth going out to multiple companies to get quotations on a comparable system.

I reached out to Koala Solar, and was refreshed to not have a pushy sales person to deal with. They were quickly able to quote on a system that was fit for purpose and suited my personal needs.

Although I had to wait several weeks for the installation date from time of locking in with Koala, the wait was well and truely worth it.

The installation crew arrived promptly on time and commenced install and commisioning of the system.

The install team were happy to agree to installing the inverter within the garage even-though this is on the other side of the house to the DB and as far practicable avoid the eyesore that is surface mounted conduit, especially when it’s over the top off a cavity wall.

Commendable work ethic of the crew, they did a fantastic job considering the extra complexity of installing the panels over 2 levels of roofs

The system itself is functioning as expected, currently enjoying the AC without the worry of an expensive power bill!!

Excellent install

The sales person arrived on time and explained the process. Office communicated clearly about all the paperwork and install date options. Installers arrived at 7am, confirmed where the inverter and panels would go, worked without any fuss. They helped me set up an app to monitor the system. Finally they picked up their rubbish before leaving.
Install was completed before lunch.

Quality all round solar company. 5 stars

I’d been looking for solar for a while and ended up just going round and round in circles.

I saw Koala solar installing in the area, their install looked very good and the installers were very polite, approachable and informative. I called the office and dealt with Sean he was very helpful, knowledgeable and organised I had a quote the next day and I was signed up that afternoon.

The office was very efficient they made paperwork easy and communicated with me well at every stage.

The install team were great !! very good install. From the panels to the inverter and wiring all neat and tidy they left site 100% clean

Fast and easy install

Koala were very efficent when installing. All took just over 3 hours and they helped to install the app on our phones to monitor energy that was being made.

They were polite and friendly and also cleaned and tidied their messes.

You can't ask for a better installer

I got 10 quotes from various Perth installers and the price difference and quoting process left alot to be desired from most of the companies.
I asked for a like for like quote to compare quotes and too be honest the prices were all over the place.
It was a significant investment I was making and I wanted a good install with backup should anything go wrong.

Koala fitted the bill as far as pricing(they were not the cheapest) and product knowledge were concerned and after looking at solarquotes and Google reviews I went with them.

Johnny at sales was top notch answering every question I had and if he didn't know the answer he found out and got back to me.
The admin staff are great and on the ball with all the relevant paperwork supplied very quickly.
The installation team turned up on time and in the 6hrs they were at my house they removed 13 old panels and racking and fitted 24 new panels, 5kw hybrid inverter and a 19.2kwh battery all in 31 degree heat.
Stuart was great and kept me informed and Callum (electrician) knows his stuff.
I obtained 20 roof tiles just in case and they were not needed. Not one cracked tile. I checked the install just in case.
The area was left clean and all rubbish removed.

The system is working great so far and I have not used any grid electricity in the last week.

If your looking for a quality install at a reasonable price give Koala solar a ring you won't be disappointed.

Seamless process, cannot recommend the Koala Solar crew highly enough. Courteous, professional and hard working.

Sales quoting was competitive and was easily understood.

Installation was exceptionally good, with plain and to the point explanations and suggestions where required.

Customer service was great, made sure everything was working before leaving.

The team arrived on time, installation was left to the team, Feedback from the installers was welcomed as installation proceeded. Trouble free paperwork and compliance done. Additional work required at the metre box as quoted. Can recommend indeed.

Solid Experience

Sales/quoting process was easy-going and no silly sales tactics used. A good level of communication was provided throughout, even after installation. Had an issue with re-connecting the wifi and I was promptly helped to get it back online again. Overall solid experience.

Fantastic Installer

Koala came out and installed a 6.16KW system. They were right on time and offered the best advice on where the panels should be best placed and why. On my return they walked me through the best way to use during summer and winter as well as navigated me through the app.

Highly recommend as I did a lot of research and these guys were the best.

Quoted what was requested, were not pushy, turned up on time, did a good job

I requested pricing from 3 installers. 1 provided 15+ options (too much to process). 1 quoted on products I could not find information on. Koola provided 2 options. Two companies continually phoned and emailed. Koola left me alone.
Koola got the job.
They arrived when they said they would, removed the old system, installed the new, turned the power off for 15 minutes to connect everything, set up the app, and did all the paperwork with our electricity provider.
All in all an easy stress-free process.

Solar system

Very impressed by Koala from office inquiry to fitting of system. Speaking with Stuart and his team during the process i found them friendly and very knowledgeable of ther product. They arrived to install at organised time, professional in the way they carried out the installation. When they had finished, the area was clean and tidy and had taken old system away. The new system was up and running and was clearly explained on how it works.

Easy, not pushy and great customer service

I've had gone through solar quotes to obtain quotes for installing 6kw system. Interestingly, Koala solar was not one of the three recommended to me. Solarquotes has referred to me three other solar companies which in my opinion were not the best. I went out of my way to look up in solarquotes for a quality installer and came across Koala Solar. Gave them a ring and everything else is history...

From the moment they answered the call to provide a quote, you can tell that Koala solar didn't see customers the same way that many other solar panel companies did. Koala solar was the only company to take my details and got someone to call me back within the stipulated time and the sales person was by far the best. No hard sales pitch, straight to the point and best of all offered the best deal despite losing out on the cut off date for the solar credit. The company was willing to absorb the credit and offer the best to customers which spoke volumes.

Installation day was a breeze. The guys were right on time, professional install and left the place clean and tidy. Their installers aren't the usual subbies you see in other solar panel installers. They're full time employees who take great pride in their work.

A+ all round

From initial quote the communication has been fantastic. Went through the different options and answered all my questions. Even had a call to say they could do my install sooner - on Australia Day no less! Turned up as expected and before I knew it, it was all installed.

Helped with the app setup too and ran through the system with me.

Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Great overall experience

Customer service from the beginning to the end was great. Absolutely no issues and were very clear with me about how everything will go.
The quote was extremely detailed and gave me a few options which was great, and after getting a few different quotes we ended up going with koala solar.
They were able to fit us in asap through their rescheduling system which suited us immensely and the installers themselves were very professional and proficient, they did an amazing job!

Speedy Powerwall Installation

I previously dealt with Koala Solar to put a 5KW solar system on my roof, of course when I decided I wanted to get a solar battery I had to consider them!

The sales process was super smooth without the normal badgering from sales staff! The staff at Koala were always helpful and polite!

I was expecting the install to take most of the day, but the team smashed it out in a few hours without any fuss, they were prompt in their timing and very helpful setting the Powerwall up for the first time! They even went as far to test the off-grid capabilities and integration with my current inverter!

I've recommended Koala to everyone whose asked about solar and I will continue to do so! Fantastic bunch of people!

Stress free solar

Koala solar were fantastic. Everything from the quotation to installation went well. They did mix up and gave us a smaller inverter during installation but quickly changed it to the one we ordered within a couple of days. Would definitely recommend.

No fuss installer, seamless process, great customer service

True to their advertisement, they are no fuss installer, no over the top/aggressive marketer to force me to go with them. The quoting process was seamless, the original panel layout was not I wanted at first, but then they were happy to review the layout and came out with a better option.
The installation process was also good. The installer came on time and polite. They again revisited the panel layout based on the actual roof area. The roof had an old bracket from the previous solar hot water system and they were to remove it to give more roof space for north facing panel. They finished ontime and clean up for their work.
The customer service was great too, she sent a reminder for the scheduled installation and replied to my query promptly.
I can't recommend enough Koala solar for your solar panel requirement!

Fantastic service

We found the whole process faultless and the quote received by email was extremely detailed which included analysis of savings to be expected on our energy bill. Two weeks since installation we have received our first energy bill of $333 and with the discount our final bill is only $77.
Installation was effortless, tidy, polite, informative and punctual.
From the young lady who answered our initial enquiry via phone through to the owner/installer everyone was very polite and friendly. It's refreshing that good 'old customer service' can be found and local too.

Would recommend Koala Solar

Reached out to Koala Solar to get a quick quote, they contacted us the next business day and were able to answer all questions and provide personalised quote details over the phone. Koala Solar were upfront with their information unlike other solar companies that insist on coming to your house and trying to get you to sign up to a payment plan. They had affordable options and explained the difference between choices available. They maintained good email and text communication, and installed our system promptly as agreed. The installers were friendly, polite and efficient, and very helpful giving us a run down of how to maximise our solar use. They sorted everything out from grid connection and western power metre changeovers for us. Koala solar also offers great warranties and we feel confident that any potential issues will be sorted out.

Great service and Fantastic install

I contacted Koala Solar for a quote, I had an immediate response from Adam was professional and honest as he guided me through, my options of which panels and inverter would be suitable for my home. I settled on a 6.6kw system with a Goodwe inverter and JA deep blue Solar panels.
The install team turned up on the time as relayed to me by the administration.
The installation was swift and efficient, with very little impact on us. It actually surprised me how efficient they were as the installation took far less time than I thought. After the install, I was guided on how to install the app on my phone by the installer ( sorry, I cannot remember his name) he ran through how it works and suggested to me at what times to run my appliances through the day to get the full benefit from the Solar install. The work site was left near and tidy as if no one had been here.
Fantastic job Koala Solar - I would recommend you to anyone wanting solar panels for their home.

Excellence All Around

Sales was quick and responsive. Acquired contact within 24 hours leaving details on their website.

Quoting process was quality all around. There was simplicity, honesty and understanding with little to no tangent. (I had thoroughly researched all panels and inverters prior to initiating contact). This process, among many other installers, Koala Solar was exceptional due to listening and understanding of their clients wants. This was achieved by providing their honest opinion on products available.

Installation team was polite, punctual, efficient, and tidy. The installation of the panels and inverter finished within three hours, to my surprise. In the aftermath, the team was informative on the access of the live feed data.

Customer service was exceptional among all the other mentioned process. Everything was mentioned thoroughly in the quote and carried off as stated. Applications was accepted and approved prior to installation. Connection felt effortless due to the team at Koala Solar and no obstacles was encounter in any of the process.

Local Business

I received two quotes, one with batteries and one without, with both showing how long until they paid themselves off.

The whole process was a breeze, with koala organising the government rebates. The installation was done in less than 4 hours and I was shown how to access the inverter on an app on my phone.
