Last year’s national champion is back in the running as we reveal the three solar installers NSW customers rated highest in 2026.
The winners were determined using a weighted calculation of customer reviews published on the SolarQuotes website. This gives smaller companies with fewer reviews a fair chance against their bigger rivals.
All New South Wales installer listings are included, not just companies in the SolarQuotes installer network.
First Place – RESINC Solar
RESINC Solar has done it again, taking the NSW title for the second year running.
The Wyong-headquartered company was established in 2016 and installs solar and battery systems across NSW and beyond.
Last year’s state win earned RESINC a place in the national final, where it was named Australia’s best-rated installer in the 2025 SolarQuotes Customer Choice Award.
SolarQuotes asked RESINC’s Chris Johns what he thought had brought customers back with such consistently strong reviews.
“A SolarQuotes review gets written at the end of the whole journey, which means it isn’t a verdict on one salesperson or one install day — it’s a verdict on every person who touched that job.”
For Johns, that means getting the quote and design right, turning up when promised and being available when a customer needs help afterwards. But he says RESINC tries to go further by making the first move after the installation.
“Checking a system is producing what we told the customer it would. Picking up a fault before they’ve noticed it. Making sure they’re actually getting the savings they were quoted, not just hoping they are.”
It’s an approach that makes more sense when the system’s expected lifetime is taken into account.
“Solar is a twenty-five-year purchase and most of those years happen long after the panels have been installed, so that’s where we’ve put our effort.”
And RESINC’s customer reviews suggest that effort is being noticed.
Renae said the company’s involvement didn’t end when the installers left, with ongoing monitoring giving her confidence that someone was still keeping an eye on the system:
“They monitor everything in the background, so even when the install is done, it’s not something you have to worry about every day because you know they are there in the background for you.”
Thomas also highlighted the explanations he received before buying and the help that continued afterwards:
“The explanations on pricing and rebates were clear. The follow-up support to understand and navigate our Anker system and energy retailers has also been a great help.”
The emphasis on long-term support isn’t new. It featured prominently in RESINC’s customer reviews when the company won NSW last year and again when it took out the national award.

Second Place – AHE Group
AHE Group takes second place for the second year in a row.
Based in Castle Hill, the family-owned business has decades of experience in the electrical industry and has been installing solar since 2008. It supplies and installs solar and battery systems, as well as EV chargers, across the Sydney region.
AHE describes itself as an owner-installer business that doesn’t use subcontractors, while recent reviews regularly highlight patient advice, quality and support before and after installation.

Third Place – Clean Earth Solar
Clean Earth Solar rounds out the NSW top three.
Established in 2018 and based in Sydney’s Hawkesbury region, the locally owned company installs solar, home batteries and EV chargers across Sydney.
Its recent reviews repeatedly mention communication and neat workmanship, with customers also highlighting attention to details such as concealed cabling, site clean-up and prompt responses when they’ve needed help after installation.

RESINC Heads Back To The National Final
Winning New South Wales puts RESINC in the running for the 2026 SolarQuotes Best Installer in Australia award, and gives last year’s national champion a chance to defend its title.
The state and territory winners will collect their trophies at SolarQuotes Installer Night at Melbourne’s Showtime Events Centre on October 27, the evening before All-Energy Australia.
