Avery Solar & Electrical was founded in 2018 and services New South Wales' Blue Mountains community with solar, battery, EV charging and hot water diverter solutions.

"My name is Chris Avery and with my wife we are the owners of Avery Electrical Solutions – a family owned and operated electrical business servicing Penrith and the Blue Mountains providing an honest, reliable and professional service.
I have over 19 years experience as an electrician, primarily working in the security sector across a range of private and large scale government projects. In 2018, after many years of travel and long hours away from home we decided to start Avery Electrical Solutions to give us flexibility and more quality time as a young family.
But we aren’t just your ordinary electricians, having recently completed our own home renovations we want our customers to experience the same joy and excitement our home brings to us with energy efficient options and automated electrical design solutions. We take pride in our workmanship – we genuinely get excited by the work we do and love coming up with innovative design solutions to suit your project needs.
We want to support our local community/economy – while we strive to provide you with the most cost-effective options, we don’t use cheap imports or knock off products and 9 times out of 10 our gear/equipment comes from local retailers or trade suppliers.
We are fully licenced – electricity is not something that should be played with unless you’re an experienced and licenced electrical contractor in NSW; so rest easy knowing we are fully licensed, accredited and insured.

A great experience
Avery Solar & Electrical has been a great company to purchase solar from, from the initial sale to the install, it has been a streamlined process. The salesperson was very informative and took his time out to find the right system for my requirements and budget.After sales support is great too, easily contactable and prompt. Could not be happier with my experience with this company and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for solar.

Professional installation
Avery provided competitive pricing, adjusted the quote to my preferred equipment manufacturer (Sungrow)Job done on time and work area left clean and tidy
Battery and inverter only. Solar panels were already installed.

I do not recommend Avery
I do not recommend Avery.They installed panels and battery and one month later I discovered they had not turned the battery on. My electricity bills remained high and I repeatedly asked them, over 7 months, to inspect my system - to no avail.
I had to pay for independant assessment which identified my hot water was drawing from electrical grid and battery not protected by a circuit breaker, among other things.
I asked Avery to fix this and reimburse my high bills as I initially asked them if it might be the hot water. They have gone to ground.

Knowledgeable and professional team
The team at Avery Solar and Electrical have been great from start to finish. Chris came out to look at our place a few times and listened carefully to what we wanted. Chris pulled together a range of options based on our specific asks so we got the optimal set up for our needs. He has local knowledge about the area and what works best, and was honest throughout the process.Jake and the team who installed were fantastic - polite, tidy, and friendly. They made sure everything was working properly and that we were happy with the set up and communicated what was going on clearly. No question or issue was too small.
No hesitation recommending them if you’re looking into solar.

Good battery, good price, quick response
Very happy so far with our dealing with Avery. They responded to our request quickly, asked for enough information to tailor the quote to our needs and installed the battery in a much shorter timeframe than the other suppliers we contacted. The battery is up and running and our grid usage is down to zero.
Professional and conscientious
We got Chris around to get a quote on a new solar panel, inverter and battery installation, and he patiently walked us through the options until we settled on a plan, including a complete overhaul of our switchboard to accommodate blackout operation. We were happy with the quote and it was the exact amount we ended up paying. Between then and the installation date there was good communication via email. The installation took about 7 hours and went flawlessly, the workers being highly professional and very courteous. At the end, Jake the electrician taught me how to use the app to control the inverter and battery. Shortly after installation (and after paying the bill) I discovered a small problem, which was not Avery's fault at all, yet Chris came over promptly and fixed it free of charge. All in all, a good experience start to finish.
