Solar panels and Battery storage
I had a quote received from Western Elect which was valid for almost 2 months. This gave me and my wife to think if we really need a new solar panels and battery installed to our property. Not like from other company I had quotes, I was only given 2 weeks for the validity of the quote.The choice was given to Western Elec as the system to be installed in my property was the best. Everything was done professionally and we were happy of the choice we made. Thank you Tom and team.

Five star solar & battery installation
Very happy with the solar & battery installation done by Western Elec, the boys were on time, did a high quality job and left my roof and backyard neat and tidy.Micheal took time out to explain in detail any questions I had before and after the install. He helped set up the solar usage app and showed me how it works.

They are professional installers
During the quoting process, I was expecting one quote for the particular solar battery I chose but he sent a few options. It was good because the other option is better than I chose and good value.Michael and Tom have done a great job with the installation. It was very tidy. I didn't expect that they will insert the cables through the walls because my house is a double storey. Most installers are using a conduit to run the cables outside the double storey house and it looks ugly.
After the installation of my solar battery, they cleaned everything as well and they managed the battery configuration and the rebate.

Quality work and recommended
Highly recommend Western Elec. Compared to others I talked to, they do not have a Sales team so you speak with the electrician directly from first inquiry and quoting to install. Now, this means response times may lack a bit, but we had time and I appreciated the "no fluff and no unreasonable promises" straight-talk over the way others try to sell to you.Went with a Goodwe system with extra Jinko solar panels, pricing was a lot better than what I was quoted elsewhere and Tom from Western Elec helped in our decision making process on the right brand and size (never trying to upsell us).
There was a bit of a delay between placing the order and install, but that was due to lead times with the battery is my understanding. Once it was available the installed happened within a few days, the guys were on time, polite, knew what they were doing and once done left everything in a perfectly clean and orderly state.
System was a 19.2kWh Goodwe battery with Goodwe hybrid inverter and 6.6kW of Jinko panels (in addition to existing 6.7kW panels).

Excellent Service from Western Elec
I recently had Western Elec install a solar system with battery storage at my property, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Michael and Tom's professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding.The installation was completed efficiently and on schedule, with minimal disruption. They were courteous, tidy, and clearly skilled at what they do.
I was kept informed throughout the process, and any questions I had were answered promptly. I highly recommend them to anyone considering solar and battery solutions – reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely customer-focused.

Mismatched
They mismatched my inverter ( 5kW inverter) to a solar system of 13.8 kW solar system. Now my battery only recharges 50% and the rest of the charge goes back to the grid.He misguided me into thinking a 5kW one was adequate even though I had specifically asked him for a 10kW inverter. Now he refuses to take responsibility :(
