Great experience with Auswell Energy – Clean and high-performing setup
We had a really positive experience with Auswell Energy for our solar and battery installation. The process started with Dan, who was great during the quoting stage. He was patient while we evaluated our options and took the time to present multiple solutions that fit our specific needs, making amendments without any fuss.While it was a bit of a struggle to lock in an initial date, I was really pleased that the team managed to slot us into a cancellation for an earlier install. The actual installation was quick, efficient, and looks incredibly professional. We chose the 10.45 kW JA Solar 475W panels with matching black racking, and the result is very sleek—it gives the whole house a modern, high-end feel.
Inside, the 33.28 kWh GoodWe ESA Series battery system is a real standout. Because it’s an all-in-one, pre-wired unit, the install is exceptionally tidy without a mess of extra cables. I love that it’s a modular system, so we can easily add more capacity later if we need to. It’s been handling high-performance loads without a hitch, and the built-in arc fault detection provides great peace of mind for an indoor setup.
The only minor downside was that the post-install admin was quite slow; it took several follow-up calls to get the Electrical Work Request (EWR) submitted to Energex. However, the quality of the hardware and the neatness of the installation more than make up for it. Overall, we are very happy with our new system and the service from Auswell!

Great customer experience

The long wait
Sales /quoting was fast and efficient, and they displayed good technical understanding. I accepted the quote in October for a low mid band system with a Goodwe inverter and battery. 3 stars for system because that's where Goodwe seems to sit in the ratings, but there were no problems getting it set up and working.Auswell customer service and communications were terrible - time went by with no information provided. They didn't seem to understand why the comment that "our installation team will contact you shortly to arrange the installation" repeated every few weeks didn't satisfy me. Basically they were less than truthful about whether they actually had the equipment available as November and December slipped away. In mid December they replaced the solar panels with better and larger ones for the same price as they couldn't get the quoted items, and promised to try and install in December. An early January date followed, then a later one because "they didn't have the equipment". That one passed because BOM forecast a 40% probability of rain (which never looked like happening).
Finally installed in late January.
No significant problems with the installation contractor that Auswell engaged, or with the grid connection.

Patient, diligent, and competent company
We had an overall good experience with Auswell. The quote process with Dan was great. He took the time to present us with multiple options to suit our use case and made requested amendments without complaint. He was patient with us during this time as some unexpected personal circumstances came up and put capacity to respond was reduced.In the weeks before our install date Energex changed some rules around where batteries can be placed which was a huge spanner in the works. This resulted in Brett, one of the managers at Auswell, getting involved to ensure we could go ahead. He arranged a site visit on short notice to ensure we were compliant and even gave us his personal phone number over the Christmas shutdown period if we had any questions.
The install itself was excellent. Jack, Jamie, and their team were exceptionally competent and worked like a well oiled machine. The installation was neat and they even helped close up a gap in the roof where some birds were getting in.
Overall we'd give Auswell a 10/10 for their efforts. They were worth every penny.

Terrible : pick another supplier
During the sales process the salesman did not let a day go with out following up (did get abit much); but at least he was proactive - since signing the proposal we have heard nothing unless we chase and chase them. We are still unclear when our system will be installed.17 November 2025
Great service.
The team at Auswell have been great, they listened to our needs and worked with us to provide the most fitting system for us.They were fast to provide us with a quote to allow is time to think it over and consider all our options. They were responsive to our questions throughout the process and were able to get the solar panels installed well ahead of their suggested lead time. Customer service is amazing.

A Professional Solar Solution Provider
The company provided detailed explanation in quoting process and the response is really fast.The system has not been installed yet as at the time of writing this review, due to time taken for necessary processing and scheduling for a mutually convenient time. (As the installation has not been completed, the rating on quality of system and installation is a tentative ones that basically follow the overall impression).

Good installation, team was very polite.
The install went pretty smoothly and the system was up and running and tested same day. Install was quite neat. Some information on the next steps and timeframes would have been helpful.22 September 2025

Dan the salesman was pro-active in following up the quote, we asked questions and he was able to answer them with no bother. The installation team were very nice and complete the job well, removed the old system and took it away.All in all it went very smooth.

Friendly staff and wonderful installation
Sales quote process was very efficient was available to answer our questions / queries so that we understood what we were purchasing and costs whenever we called. Installation was fabulous, lovely guys explained what they were doing, including the moving of our old meters and installing a new meter box, extremely informative, polite and arrived within the time allocated, run through how the system worked before leaving. Auswell organized grid connection, whole process was handled very professionally, from quote to the system up and running. Wonderful people to deal with. Original ratingsPanel rating: 5/5

10 months later we asked Sandra: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
Overall system has been very good.Customer service was fantastic at installation, however have not received any contact regarding the 12 months maintenance on the system which should be due around now.. As installer is on the Gold Coast, approx 70kms from us we are therefore considering looking at a service provider closer to home, depending on how this will affect warranties. We will contact the installer prior to looking at another provider..
