Outstanding company! I'll be back...

I had solar+battery and a cooktop installed by Anthony, Alexandra & their terrific team. From the initial contact, to quoting, numerous emails (including pet photos), Anthony's first site visit through to installation day, then follow ups, Brightworks Solar has exceeded my expectations. They also organised all the rebates and grid connections for us.

Their timely communication, punctuality and professional workmanship is second to none.

I'll definitely be recommending them to family and friends, and I look forward to returning myself for future projects (looking at you hot water heat pump).

A tip for installation day. Be prepared with some spare roof tiles just in case. Anthony & his team are very careful however we needed to replace just the 1 tile.

Great people to work with!

I asked to be quoted for various system configurations - No problem - promptly provided with good humour! Wanted to get tweaks (most of which weren't used - their suggestions were the best solution) - No problem - promptly provided with good humour! Decided on the system - installation date booked.
The installation went smoothly - couple of collateral damage tiles - replaced and fixed! On time finish even after a cable access battle to a 'built in' switchboard.
System up and running, schooled in the app usage, they lodged all the grid paperwork, battery looks great and the house and environs clean and tidy. Have to say - great experience with Alexandra, Anthony and their crew - great comms and service as well, I was kept informed all the way. Overall I'm very, very happy and very satisfied.

Exceptional service from start to finish, highly recommended!

I had a fantastic experience with Brightworks Solar. From the very first conversation, Alex really stood out from the other installers I contacted. I’m a complete novice when it comes to solar, but she took the time to clearly explain how everything works, including the different battery options and what would best suit my needs. Her knowledge, patience and honesty made a big impression - I never once felt pressured or “sold to.”

Throughout the process, communication was excellent and the team were always punctual and reliable. They even managed to come out at the last minute during our build to complete the pre-wiring - there was only a tiny window to get it done, and they made it happen without fuss.

On installation day, the crew did a fantastic job. Everything looks neat and professional, and they took the time to show me how the monitoring app works. You can tell they take real pride in their work.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Genuine, knowledgeable, and highly professional - Brightworks Solar made going solar a smooth and positive experience from start to finish. I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone considering solar or batteries.

I recently had Brightworks Solar install additional solar panels along with a Sigenergy battery system, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience!

From the start, Alex and Anthony were fantastic.Got the installation date booked in as soon as I accepted their offer. They were also flexible and allowed me to change few requirements here and there.

On installation day, the team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and did an incredibly neat job. The panels look great on the roof, all wiring is tidy, and they even took extra care to position everything just right. They walked me through how to use the Sigenergy app, set everything up, and made sure I was comfortable before leaving. No mess, no fuss – the whole thing was seamless.

After sales support is great so far. Any queries, I get response back in no time and technical issues are resolved without any problem.

Highly recommend

After a fair bit of research we decided on Brightworks Solar to install our new solar panels with battery. We do not regret this decision.
Despite being super busy, Alexandra and Anthony were clear and responsive communicators and able to adapt when we made a last minute change.
The Brightworks team who installed the system worked hard all day and consulted with us during the process to provide options for where and how the wiring from the panels to the battery could be installed. This has resulted in a very tidy installation with minimal visual impact due to cables/conduit.
They were able to provide guidance on the set up and functionality of the Sigenergy App and connection to the grid was a seamless process.
We have already recommended Brightworks Solar to friends interested in adding solar and/or battery systems to their homes.
Interestingly, when I mentioned how happy I was with the quality of the installation at our house to the electrical inspector, he noted that he is also using Brightworks to install his own system. Another vote of confidence for the team.
The follow up post installation has also been excellent.

Brightworks not only met the brief but went above and beyond!

We did a lot of research to understand the system and to consider our objectives... so lots of questions.
Brightworks not only met the brief but were great in discussing the options available and addressing all concerns in a knowledgable, polite and efficient manner. Installers were punctual, polite and talked through the function of the system and how to manage the app. We had our independent tiler check the roof ... he was vey happy with the neatness of the job as was the solar inspector who did the sign off.
Well done Brightworks .... your business model is great and was a big factor in our choice to go with a well focused smaller business which does not sub-contract. Thank you Anthony and Alexandra.

Excellent way to get some lithium into your life!

Brightworks Solar have done an excellent job with the installation of our new SigEnergy 20kWh Inverter and 48kWh battery and gateway.

Alexandra has been great to deal with, communicates well and very accommodating with a couple of revisions to the quote as things evolved along the way for our long term operation and usage of the system. Anthony was very knowledgeable and helpful with his pre-inspection and picked-up something that could be configured better on the existing panel config to work better with the batteries, something none of the other noticed it seems. (Thanks Anthony!)

On installation day, the team arrived on time and well organised. Over the next few hours they assembled and installed all the equipment including dealing with some wiring changes needed because of the existing panels which included relocation of the main solar panel breaker into the new Sig gateway and the team were able to bring the whole system together and alive by late afternoon. A walk-though of the installation, changes and run-down of the config and app usage and it was all systems go!

The end result is excellent, all the major wiring runs are within the wall cavity, so no ugly visible cable ducting on walls. The short run of cable duct out in the open from the invertor/battery stack to the wall cavity and a sub-switchboard is neat and well secured.

Can’t speak highly enough of the whole team. You’d be doing yourself a dis-service by not talking to the Brightworks team if you are in the Melbourne Metro area and looking at batteries and panels.

Sometimes things happen for a reason

After being extremely let down I found myself back on the hunt for a new solar installer. I hadn’t yet cancelled my original install, but with no firm date in sight, my confidence was gone.

About a week earlier, I’d submitted an online enquiry to Brightworks Solar for a quote on a Sigenergy system with some additional panels. Not long after, Alexandra gave me a call — and from the very first conversation, I could tell this company actually cared about its customers. There was a genuine focus on understanding my needs rather than just pushing a sale.

From there, everything just clicked. The communication was outstanding, with regular updates and clear explanations every step of the way. The support and guidance were top-notch, helping me make informed decisions without feeling pressured. And when it came time for the install, the quality of workmanship was impeccable — clean, professional, and clearly done with pride.

Brightworks turned what started as a frustrating experience with another provider into a smooth and genuinely positive one. I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Top-rated installer for a reason!

Selecting Brightworks Solar was one of the easiest choices we have ever made! Communication was personalised and top-notch from the beginning - thanks Alex - and maintained throughout the whole process, the site visit by Anthony and can-do attitude before we had even received a quote was also very helpful in making that decision, and the quote itself was well priced. It was a no-brainer.

Installation took longer than expected and required an extra day, but that's Melbourne weather for you (and our challenging site didn't help). Again, communication was flawless throughout and as a result we were happy to be patient. The quality of installation was worth the wait.

The follow-up post-installation was also amazing and they really went the extra mile for us.

Glancing at the other reviews here there's not much point in me writing anything too lengthy as I'd be saying basically the same thing as so many others have; other than to note that I'm not surprised at all that they won the 2025 Vic Best Rated Installer award. Based on our experience it was well deserved.

I hope that as they grow Brightworks Solar can continue to still be true to their 2025 selves. I mean it's a great story about how a husband-and-wife team set up what they did when they did and rapidly built up a solid reputation. We certainly got to benefit from finding the right company at the right time.

Outstanding

Alexandra and Anthony were great to work with, with our panels, HWS and batteries installed smoothly. It all works as promised.

We obtained quotes from 3 companies, and then asked follow-up questions. Brightworks were the most prompt to reply, happy to answer our questions and ended up the lowest-cost installer. They then met our expectations on installation. The team arrived on time, were courteous, cleaned-up as they went and considerate of us (whole family working / studying) as they went about it.

The "commissioning" was also good. Anthony was patient as we installed the app on our phone and he walked through what it all meant and what to expect.

Happy to recommend Brightworks to anyone considering solar, HWS and batteries.

Fantastic experience throughout

Anthony, Alexandra, and the whole team has been fantastic to deal with since the first contact, throughout the quoting and sales process. They're willing to spend the time to listen and work with our requirements, even made adjustments (at our request) half way through the sales process. They're very knowledgeable and very helpful in providing recommendations and options, clarifying pros and cons. We felt like they're genuinely trying to help and to get the best deal for us.

Installation went very smoothly. Alexandra kept us up to date with progress and notified us several times before install day and made sure we were clear on everything. On install dat, the whole team was fantastic, polite, punctual (!), kept the site tidy afterward, and their lead took the time to explain how to use the app and talked us through some options with regards to retailer and options. Anthony called a couple of days later to check on how everything's going and enabled modbus for me so I could link it to my Home Assistant. The whole system is working really well and we're very pleased.

There's a good reason why they're fully booked months ahead! Definitely worth the wait! I would highly recommend this installer.

Well deserved 5 star!

The installed system:

I have removed my old frionius primo 6.0-1 and DC coupled the PVs to my new installed sigenergy system, SP 12kw Inverter and 32kw Battery and added more panels to the roof to bring the system to 14.5kw, swapped my old gas system to Emerald 320L Heat pump, installed an 7kw sigenergy AC EV charger and they also installed our induction cook top.

Alexandra is very supportive, easy to deal with and quick to respond to email. (she is a superstar!)
The quoting process was very simple and straightforward, not pushy sales! They know the standards specially here in Victoria! the inspector came next day!

On installation day Anthony and his team work so hard and have taken their time - not rushing critical items and checked with me if I am happy along the way with how the installation was going. Anthony and his team are superstars.

Great Job!

The team at BrightWorks Solar recently installed a solar and battery system at my place and I am extremely happy with the outcome. Alexandra did a fantastic client liaison job from our very first phone call till the end, providing useful advice and answering all questions in a timely and professional manner. As for the actual work done, the only thing I would say is that after an independent inspection of the entire system post the installation, the inspector put his thumb up and said to me "Great job!". His assessment should be far more authoritative than whatever I may say here.

Seamless & smooth installation

I couldn’t be happier with my experience.

Sales/quoting process: The quoting was clear, transparent, and competitive. Everything was explained in detail so I knew exactly what I was paying for, and the team took the time to answer all of my questions without any pressure.

Installation: The installation was outstanding. The installers were punctual, polite, and very professional. They worked tidily, respected my home, and completed the job on schedule. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and it’s clear they take real pride in doing things properly.

Customer service: The after-sales support has been just as impressive. They organised the grid connection for me, made sure all approvals were taken care of, and patiently walked me through how to use the system and app. Whenever I had a question, they were easy to reach and quick to respond.

Excellent service, good communication

Thorough quoting process, organising a time to come and do a proper site inspection including getting on to the roof. Discussed the various options and pros and cons, and Anthony was fantastic throughout.
Alex was very responsive in getting back to me with quotes/changes/further information.
Installation took place over two days, and the teams seemed to work well together. There were some initial issues on the day with the heat pump placement and the plumber, but that seemed to get sorted there and then.
System was functional the next day and official inspections were done at that time so we could use it immediately.

There were a few niggling problems, but again, Alex and Anthony were quick to respond and get one of their team out to fix.

Overall, very satisfied with using Brightworks Solar.

Great Experience

It has been terrific dealing with Brightworks Solar.

As an engineer, I had a fairly good idea what I wanted but they were able to answer all my questions and guide me in the right direction to get the best solution for my needs.

An excellent company to work with in South East Melbourne

We contacted 7 different companies to install a new solar panels, inverters and battery package. The reviews for Brightworks were outstanding and their customer service was excellent as mentioned by all reviewers. Alexandra was the first person we spoke to and was extremely helpful. Her husband Anthony came to our property and offered some advice on the best solution for us. The tradesmen were friendly, helpful and respectful and arrived exactly as planned. The job was done over a long day, however we are delighted with our new system after 9 days of use.

Excellent communication, very happy with the results

Great business and an amazing team

Sales quote on their website was a breeze. Alex called back the next day to introduce herself and we discussed multiple configuration options and provided a few quotes on that night.

Alex is the pinnacle of how to deliver a great customer experience. Given the vast interest since the launch of the gov battery rebate, Alex will always respond to my email regardless how busy she is during the day with sales quotes, customer enquiries or dealing with gov department. She consistently exceed my expectations and is a gem to speak to on the phone.

Anthony came over on the weekend to have a look at the roof and switch board to make sure there are no surprises in the final quote and to also answer all the curly technical questions we had.

Alex kept us up to date on the installation date and the paperwork. Alex reached out a week as well as the day before to reconfirm the installation time and approval to connect to the grid post installation.

Installation day went very smoothly. Courtesy message first thing in the morning from Tristan to advise he is on his way. The crew was punctual, polite, courteous and respectful (they removed their shoes when needing to use the bathroom).

It seemed like a big job removing the existing solar/system and re-install but Tristan and the boys got everything completed efficiently, packed and cleaned by around 4pm. Tristan then went through the wiring and switches on the gateway and main power. Explained some of basic procedure and features of the system and how to use/configure the app. Also provided Anthony’s number if there are any issues/questions.

Tristan and the boys did an amazing job with the installation of the solar panels and the battery system.

Overall, we are very happy that we went with the company as with all the other customers with their rave reviews. The total cost of the system is what it is but the value for money in our opinion is how smooth the process is dealing with professional people in the business. Highly recommended.

Super happy with the whole process. I pestered Alex with lots of different options for the quotes, the install looks good, everything was cleaned up after. Had a small issue with one string, they came back and added some optimisers at their expense to fix everything.

Amazing Experience End to End!

From the first time I called to get a quote, the service was second to none! Quote was sent quickly and even though I went through numerous revisions of the quote the service remained consistent throughout. Very good experience

Installation was of 8.8 kW of panels on flat steel roof on tilt frames, and a 16kWh battery, inverter and gateway.

Really good, responsive service.

Provided a detailed quote with options that covered what I was after and answered all my questions. Told me a date they'd turn up to install, and turned up on that date and did the job quickly, politely and efficiently. Alex as the main contact in the lead up was always cheerful and very quick to respond to any and all queries and a couple of minor variations.

Anthony was excellent, and also covered other issues on electrics when asked. Crew of several that turned up to do installation really knew what they were doing, were polite and got about their business in a well coordinated way.

System works as expected and is seamless for end users.

Paperwork was detailed and took care of everything from gear to be installed, to recovering over $7000 in subsidies. I paid a 10 per cent deposit on the net cost, and the rest after installation.

Recommend very highly. Would go back to them again if ever I need an upgrade or another installation in the future.

Outstanding service and competitive pricing

We recently had Brightworks install a 16kWh Sigenergy battery and extend our existing solar setup with 12 additional panels.
From the start, the sales process was clear and professional. Every question we had—whether about system size, battery location, integration with existing setup — was answered in detail, which gave us complete confidence.
The installation itself was excellent. The team arrived on time, resolved a couple of unexpected site issues without any fuss and left the fusebox in a better state than they found it!
Pricing was very competitive compared to other quotes we received, and we felt that the value for money was outstanding given the quality of the system and service.

Amazing Experience

Our family wanted a solar and battery system to get control of our power bills. I got really deep into research and spoke with 6–7 highly rated companies. Most were either pushy or only wanted to quote over the phone, which didn’t sit well.

Brightworks Solar stood out immediately. Alex was accommodating and patient, working through different options without pressure. Anthony even came across town on a Friday afternoon (in traffic) to get on the roof, measure it up, and explain everything clearly. I felt confident in the system we were choosing and never once felt rushed.

Install day went exactly as planned. All stock was ready which shows their forward planning on ordering given current stock shortages. Anthony’s team were professional and personable. Even the solar inspector noted it was an excellent install.

The system is now pumping out power and we haven’t drawn from the grid during the day since. It was a big investment, but we couldn’t be happier with Brightworks and I couldn’t recommend them any more highly. One of the best companies I’ve ever dealt with on any sort of project. Thankyou

Great installation, incredible customer service, very happy

From making first contact with Alexandra, Anthony coming over for a site inspection, to receiving several quotes for various options, to having the setup installed the process has been a very, very smooth process thanks to Alexandra.
Alexandra and Anthony definitely went out of their of their way to explain the process and answer my many question.

The installation went very well, the simplicity of the Sigenergy installation is fantastic.
Leyton and his team arrived on time, were very friendly, installed new solar panels, new Sigenergy battery and gateway and AC coupled the old Fronius inverter into the gateway and commissioned the system.
All went well and they even cleaned up after themselves.
Very pleased how well the day went.

Fantastic Solar & Battery Installation Experience

We had a great experience with our recent solar and battery installation with Brightworks Solar.

We already had a SolarEdge system with 6.6kW of panels installed, and I was surprised that multiple highly rated installers from this site tried to convince me to completely remove the existing SolarEdge inverter and optimisers, claiming it wasn’t possible to pair it with the SigEnergy battery. I’m not an expert, but based on what I’d read, I was fairly confident it could be done, and I also wasn’t about to throw away thousands of dollars worth of perfectly good equipment.

Brightworks Solar stood out because they immediately said, “We can absolutely do that.” They proposed a smart setup: keeping the existing SolarEdge system AC-coupled, while adding new panels that would be DC-coupled to the SigEnergy battery system. The quoting process was quick and informative, with multiple options offered and clearly explained, which made it easy to choose the best setup for our needs. The installers arrived right on time and completed the entire job in just a few hours. They were professional, efficient, and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. The final install looks clean and neatly done, very tidy work. They also took the time to walk me through the battery app and made sure I understood how everything works. Highly recommend!

Faultless experience!

All round great experience with the whole Brightworks Solar team.

Alexandra was fantastic with my many questions and configurations during the quoting process, Anthony was out almost immediately for an onsite inspection to confirm everything.
Install day, Anthony and the team arrived bang on time and had a huge day installing our PV & battery system. Nice neat cable runs and everything neat and tidy before Anthony took me through the install and how to use our system.

Questions over the following days answered immediately by Alex to finish up our experience with Brightworks, genuinely couldn't ask for a better experience with a big purchase.

Great install for a reasonable price

Anthony and Alex were amazing. I have contacted the company in June just before the rebates kicked in. I wanted to add the battery to my existing system and add a few more panels. Alex was happy to quote for a system based on the price at that time and promised that it would not go up. I have to delay the installation for a month as I was installing the carport, and Alex was happy to wait. Inataltion as very smooth and professional. Guys provided all relevant information on how to operate the system. I did have a small problem as I have an old limited power supply from the pole. So when I was pulling 13kw from the grid the circuit braker was tripping. I contacted Anthony and he adjusted the system import rate on the fly so I should not have this problem again. In general very happy with install.

Great Service & Installation

Through the entire process Alex & Anthony have been fantastic. Anthony came back a couple of times to review the installation options on what was a tricky building. He was able to complete the install with all cabling within the building (no conduit) & utilise a lift shaft.
The installation process took a couple of days with the team being very accommodating ensuring a quality outcome.

Alex kept us well updated on the timing & managed the connection process ensuring we received all the rebates.

Very happy with the Sungrow inverter & Battery which are performing better than expected.

Brightworks Made Going Solar Easy!

We recently had solar and a battery installed at our place and went with Brightworks Solar after getting a bunch of quotes. Honestly, best decision ever. They’re a family-run business with Alexandra handling sales and Anthony doing the electrical side of things.

From the very first chat with Alexandra, it didn’t feel “salesy” at all – just genuine, helpful and super easy to talk to. She kept us updated the whole way through, even after install, which made the whole process stress-free.

On install day, we had a pretty big job (44 panels on a double-storey roof plus a battery install). A whole team of about 8 sparkies rocked up bang on 7am, got straight into it, and by about 3:30pm everything was finished, tested, and the site left spotless. Couldn’t believe how smoothly it all went.

The professionalism, communication and just overall good vibes from Alexandra and Anthony honestly blew me away. I don’t usually write long reviews, but these guys really deserve it. I’ve already started recommending Brightworks to friends and family, and they’ll be the first people I'd call for anything solar in the future.

Great Installer, great advice, excellent communication

Alex and Anthony have been really great to deal with. Extremely knowledgeable and very patient, they helped us navigate through the extensive list of solar options to ensure we found the best system to suit our requirements, and that's scalable for the future. Excellent communication, nothing was too much trouble. The after sales service has been great too, Alex checks in to ensure our system is running the way we expect it to, no question is a silly question. I would defiantly recommend Brightworks Solar to anyone looking for an honest and reliable installed.
