Wonderful product, competitive pricing
The quotation was prompt, clear and concise, easy to read. The installation was efficient and in a timely manner.The installer was polite, on time and left the site very clean.
Customer service from signing the quote to installation was excellent. We did have to follow up many times to check when the unit would be turned on and usable. This part of the process was quite frustrating as we had to continually call and email various people to find out an answer.

Another Happy Customer
Chief Electricians was professional, responsive, and easy to deal with throughout the process. Communication was clear from quotation through to installation.Adam, the owner of the business, and his team were patient in answering questions and explained how the system works without overselling. Installation is neat and solid and the system has been performing as expected. It is satisfying to see the house gets powered without relying on the grid.
One thing I particularly appreciated was that they honoured and locked in the quoted price for me due to my personal circumstances, even though there were delays before installation proceeded. That flexibility and understanding was genuinely appreciated.

Great installation
The process of obtaining a quote and discussion about what would be appropriate for our home was clear and straightforward. They inspected our property for a finalisation of the quote. The arrangements for the installation were reasonably prompt. The removal of the old solar system and the installation of the new system was very efficient. It took two days. The inspection and certification of the system was organised very promptly. We were able to sign up to a Time of Use programme very easily. It was a very good experience.19 May 2026
Great overall experience and happy with installation
Received a quick callback to receive a quote on a solar and battery installation and managed to get a price that was better than a few other providers.Given the positive reviews I was happy to go ahead and book it in.
There was a bit of a backlog so it took a couple of months for the install but when it started it took a few days to complete.
The installers were prompt and the communication was good around timings and the install took about 3 days.
The install was checked and passed and didn't need any rework so that was good.
After a couple of months now the system is working well so happy with my choice of going with chief electricians.

Excellence all around
Chief was the first company to reply to my request from SolarQuotes for 3 quotations. Several options were given. We immediately felt that they weren't necessarily going to push some huge installation. The onsite visit uncovered some restrictions with our switchboard, which narrowed down our options. Within a few days we had settled on system with 12kw of panels and 24 kwh of batteries. Rapid suggestions and responses meant that the sales process was efficiently managed.The crew onsite over the next week or so were all very courteous. From the head onsite electrician to the apprentices all were great to deal with. Some issues arose during the install, but all of these were managed promptly and completely. We now have a fully operational Aiko/Sigenergy system, and have not drawn any power from the grid since commissioning. We are very happy with both Chief Electricians as the supplier/installer and with the system installed.

Very Professional to Deal With;
From sales providing various options for my non standard set up, to the on site inspection to confirm requirements and through to the crew doing the install everything was handled very professionally. We wanted to keep our legacy system in operation and they integrated that into the new solar/battery without any hassle at all.We had started of dealing with another company who let us down badly. Our third experience with Chief Electricians and it was incredibly easy from the quoting process to the installation. Indeed legendary installers
Very glad I went with Chief Electricians for our solar install + EV Charger. The entire process was super smooth, and the communication and expectations set by the team at Chief electricians was second to none.Paul was very helpful early on during the discovery and quoting phase, and was able to answer my questions around what hardware they offered and the size of the system I was initially going for. I had done quite a lot of research into a system and It never felt pushy for a certain system which I really appreciated.
I also appreciated Adam coming out to the house to have a look in person and to be able to quote the install more accurately. I needed to decommission an old hot water solar system which was taking up optimal space on the roof, and he was able to work around some options. Very friendly and knowledgeable guy and again it didn't feel like I was getting a sales pitch or upselling.
The installers were also top tier, very tidy, efficient and did some clean wiring and panel installation work on our terracotta roof, which they were very careful with.
Throughout the entire process Veronika and Haylee were around to answer questions and kept us to date with the status of install and informed on the next steps.
Even though it was slightly more expensive than other installers, I've heard of some horror stories of people going with cheaper installers and then getting shafted with little to no post install support, having to follow up the subsequent paperwork or just shoddy sub contractors doing the install.
Overall super happy with the system and install, service was amazing by all involved. Def recommend the team at Chief Electricians.

High quality install
The sales and quoting process was clear, with plenty of opportunity to discuss technical details.Installation took a few days, and the team worked neatly and produced a very clean final result.
Customer service was generally good. The only challenge was scheduling, high demand for battery installations meant firm dates couldn’t be locked in early, which may affect customers who need more notice.

Thorough quote, solid install, genuinely owned the hiccups
Paul was my first point of contact after SolarQuotes put us in touch. Rather than pitching a single option, he put together five side-by-side solar + battery proposals at different sizes and price points, which made the trade-offs easy to compare. Adam (the business owner and head installer) then came out for an obligation-free in-person site inspection, and the quote was updated based on what he saw before any deposit was paid. The process felt consultative rather than pushy, and questions were answered clearly over both phone and email.The install crew were punctual, professional and tidy, and the full job took about 3 days. A few hiccups did come up that are worth being honest about: a pool solar heating pipe was accidentally cut below the water line (our pool servicing company had to attend to stop the overflow), a section of garage ceiling plaster was damaged, and after the first rain post-install the re-bedded roof tiles leaked into the roof cavity — I only discovered it by climbing up to inspect. All three were acknowledged and owned by Chief: the $180 pool callout was credited back on the final invoice, the garage ceiling was addressed, and the roof tiles were properly resealed by 8 April. The 3-week wait on the roof fix was down to the roof contractor's scheduling rather than Chief's responsiveness.
This is where Chief really stood out. Dylan, the delivery manager, was my main delivery contact and coordinated Chief's response on the repair follow-up, with Veronika in the office as an equally responsive backup whenever Dylan wasn't available. Chief handled the Energy Safe Victoria inspection submission, the federal STC rebate paperwork via Formbay, and organised the grid connection directly with my retailer — all in-house, without me having to chase anything. When I asked about the ACCC voluntary recall on the Sigenergy inverter, they confirmed within a day that the correct new-model unit had been installed. They also proactively placed me on the "bring forward if scheduling allows" list, which shortened the wait.
Overall a great experience and would happily recommend. The only regret is entirely on my side — I wish I'd stretched the budget to a 48 kWh battery rather than the 32 kWh I settled on at install time. That's not on Chief.

Smooth sailing
From start to finish the whole process went smoothly. Would easily recommend them to others.Quote was professional, with the correct address, good panel positioning, no pushy sales tactics, appropriate system size and not presuming a government loan deduction into the quoted cost - all issues we'd experienced with other quotes.
Install and site visits went well - tidy, punctual, friendly, and walked us through the basics of installing the app and understanding how it worked.

Chief Rule!
Chief clearly know their stuff. The quote process was painless, consultative and informative, and best of all, competitive. Reasonably long documents which they walk you through. Booking in install was easy. Install process was 2 part, someone came out to review our site prior, and confirmed no changes required to quoted details. Installers arrived on day and time agreed, and were prompt tidy and courteous. Post install office team help with rebate and loan docs and grid connection process. And they follow up after to check everything went ok. The only gap was I’d have liked a more detailed handover on how to use the battery, setting up for back to grid times and so on, but that’s being really picky.27 March 2026

A perfect system by a perfect installer.

Professional installation and responsive after-sales support
Sales / quoting process:The quoting process was clear, transparent, and well explained. The team took the time to walk through the proposed system and answer questions without any pressure. The information provided made it easy to understand the system size, expected performance, and overall cost.
Installation:
The installation team was punctual, polite, and professional. They worked efficiently and left the site tidy at the end of the job. The installation itself appears to have been completed to a very high standard.
Customer service:
Customer service has been excellent. They helped coordinate the grid connection after installation and made sure I understood how to use the EV charger that was installed at the same time.
At one stage I thought the EV charger might be faulty. The company arranged a follow-up visit and carried out a thorough review of the system. It turned out the issue was related to the car rather than the charger, but they were proactive, thorough, and helpful in checking everything and making sure it was working properly.
Overall, the experience from quoting through installation and follow-up support was smooth and professional. I’m very happy with the outcome and the quality of the work.

Fantastic to work with
Paul was very helpful during the sales and quoting process. It was simple and easy to understand for someone who had no idea. They were also the quickest in getting back to me.Installation was quick and tidy. There was no mess for me to clean up either. Post installation, everything went well and was handled for me.
My only minor concern was, it was a bit difficult to contact the relevant people post sales. I can only assume due to the increase in demand from the rebate reduction. Overall I still had a great experience and would recommend to others.

Great process from start to finish
The whole process of dealing with Chief Electricians was great from quoting through to installation and commissioning. Adam conducted a thorough site inspection and gave some great advice which saved us money. Paul was thorough and efficient with the quoting process and responsive to our needs without any pressure. Amazing and professional installation team
Great experience with the team especially the installation team lead & installation crew. We have holiday planned in between the installation but they were incredibly helpful and responsive in ensuring we are up to date with the progress. Really happy with the results, highly recommended!
