Consummate Professionals!
I conducted in-depth research to find the best possible combination of solar panels and batteries to meet my desire to operate “off-grid” in my semi-rural location.As is often the case, the market is strewn with charlatans promising the cheapest prices and “best value” when in reality, neither are able to be delivered.
My search led me to sign a contract with Freedom Energy Solutions, a NSW owned and operated company specialising in the supply, installation and maintenance of solar power systems.
Given the huge demand for these systems, it took some time for my system to be installed. This is the only downside in my dealings with Freedom Energy - and a situation beyond their control.
From in-depth tailored advice to determine a system to properly meet my needs, through timely communication during the waiting period to be installed, through to installation earlier this week, Freedom have been unfailingly professional, informative and proactive in their dealings.
The installation process could not have gone more smoothly; the installer and electrician worked seamlessly to deliver an up and running system within four hours of their arrival. Furthermore, their advice concerning any potential problems with the system was appreciated, along with their personal contact numbers should any warranty or aftersales care be required.
I commend Freedom’s business approach, and have no hesitation in recommending their services to anyone considering a solar power systems.

Tom and his company are great to deal with in managing a confusing process. Good pricing, prompt installation and very tidy work. Always answers a phone call straight away or very soon after. Within minutes. We had problems with the manufacture of our unit and Tom was diligent with the manufacturer in question. He is personable and friendly. Awesome company
Highly recommended.Nothing was a problem for Tom and his team to work out for us. We hassled him with questions both before and after install.

Brilliant!
The sales/quote process was very prompt with a friendly, professional visiting my location & in only a couple of days I received my quote.The installation was completely trouble free. The tradesmen cleaned up after themselves & were polite, professional & efficient.
Grid connection was organised.
A very smooth changeover with removing a small older solar system & installing my new 6.6kw system.

Great company to deal with.
Everything about this project was great. The salesman explained all my options and made recommendations based on the outcome I desired. There were a few hitches with the install but that was due to delays in receiving goods from overseas. The installation was quick and efficient. The installer explained everything to me in a way I understood and showed me how to do all that I needed. Great company to deal with.18 December 2025
Monitoring fault not repaired
The installation was installed working well except for the monitoring. CT cables were installed with power cables in same conduit. (Which i would question legality). Due to the type of cables installed (2 core unscreened not twisted) and being run extremely close to power cables this picked up magnetic field from power cable and is sending incorrect data. Because of incorrect data icloud app does not give correct information therefore I can not calculate savings or usage. I have rung Tom and talked to Sungrow technicians in Malaysia. Malaysia has confirmed that cables have to be run in separate conduit and twisted pair cable preferred. I have contacted Tom on several occasions but installation has not been fixed.Panel rating: 4/5

Quality system and professional installation
Right from the beginning of the process including the quotation process, system sizing, consultation, ordering and final installation and commissioning, dealing with Freedom Energy was professional and friendly.The installation was undertake with great care and professionalism. During the installation genuine consultation was undertaken to check configuration details and placement of the system components. This was particularly relevant to our specific Backup circuit requirements and distance between the house (Gateway panel) and the location of the system (solar/controller/batteries).
Great care was taken to ensure:
- the system was installed to provide optimum performance
- was neatly installed (conduit runs and cabling, solar panel placement)
- aesthetically pleasing, solar panels and inverter/controller/battery installation
- Safety and serviceability of the overall system, including the re-configured switchboard
