Solargain originally started out as a one man plumbing business back in 1994 and then moved into solar power in 2005. Solargain Hastings ( Mornington Peninsula) offers solar installation and maintenance services in Victorian regions including Hastings, Korumburra, Inverloch, Philip Island, Portsea, and to Traralgon.
Beyond PV systems and batteries, the company also installs hot water heat pump systems and EV chargers.

100% Recommend Solargain - Hastings
From the very first contact with these guys I was impressed. Even though the industry is extremely busy at the moment they gave me the time of day. The guy that came out was great and answered all the questions I had and ‘kept it real’. They also passed on details for financing. Installation was a breeze and again the guys that came out were fantastic. It’s all been done so very neatly with no unsightly cabling at all. I was shown through the app to go with the battery and all that I needed to know, so very easy to communicate with. I seriously couldn’t be happier with Solargain and I’d totally use them again if/when I need any other work done. Thanks heaps guys...Battery rating: 5/5

Attentive and Businesslike in all contacts with them. Professional approach from all installers including trainees. Excellent!
Comprehensive information with each option considered. Planning done via internet without need of house visit. System flexibility discussed and selected with advice. Punctual and prompt on-site. Clean and tidy without unnecessary damage to surrounding garden etc. Small mistake rectified after notifying me- so, honesty preserved and credited.Inverter rating: 4/5

Getting installed today
The boys arrived at 8am this morning and got straight into the installation. They are doing a great job and i am pleased with how the whole process has gone. I would totally recommend Solargain Hastings and they are very professional.10 October 2025
Excellent Customer Service
SolarGain installed a full suite of 13kw solar panels with accompanying batteries as part of my new build. They did a fantastic job and were very knowledgeable, professional and helpful, particularly given I am not an expert in this area and was relying upon SolarGain to set me up with the right solution for my specific needs (which they did). They also provided excellent after sales service when one of the products failed (through no fault of SolarGain). Bryn (SolarGain CEO) became personally involved and helped broker a great outcome with the manufacturer. I would highly recommend.Panel rating: 5/5

Informative sales advice and friendly service
The sales person provided me some good advice on various inverters and provided me a few different quotes until we found one I was comfortable with.Installation went smoothly and the installers did a good job.
It took over 3 weeks to organise connection to the grid. I was advised this would maybe take a week so I had to chase this up myself for a couple of weeks which was a bit frustrating.

20kW panels, 6kw inverter, 15kw battery - suits our needs.
Approachable, courteous and knowledgeable is how I’d describe both the onsite install team and the people back at base. They were available when I had questions and able to answer them succinctly. The person who did the final inspection of the install commented on the work done - a tidy job. They designed a system to work with our needs, we have had the system running a month and are pleased with its performance.
