Professional, transparent quotation with detailed information, quick action, friendly and helpful

The sales quoting process is very quick and they explain the details of the quote so that we have good understanding.

The installation is very punctual, the staff are polite, the way that they do the job is very tidy.

The customer service before and after the sales are excellent. I am very happy with all the service that Uncommon Solar provided and I have informed all of my network to choose Uncommon Solar for services related to solar panel and battery.

Brilliant service with a smile

We have used Uncommon Solar since thy took over our previous supplier, The service and support have been brilliant.
We had an inverter fail on our system and this has been replaced by Uncommon Solar organising everything. Installation and re programming the system done very well by the Uncommon Solar team. I would highly recommend them.

Powerwall 3 and Solar Panel Installation

Matt and Helen from Uncommon Solar made the process of installing a Tesla Powerwall 3 simple. They managed all the required battery rebate paperwork etc.

The installation design was customized to my requirements without any problems. The installation tradesman was on time, very professional and neat.

Uncommon n Solar

It was a very informative first meeting and it was nice that Matt was assessing our needs for a suitable system. After the quote was received we were explained how everything would proceed and my word Uncommon Solar stuck to everything they promised. Their very dedicated and friendly team installed 16 solar panels and. Tesla 3 powerwall system. The installers were very courteous and polite but you could see they enjoyed their work. The whole system is up and running and Matt came to set up my retailer and also the app on my mobile. Everything has been explained to me very well and now I am checking things on my mobile and learning how to use the system. My system is also connected remotely to Matt’s mobile so he can initially keep tabs on my system to see that everything works well. I am very pleased with the whole service received so far. I can only recommend Uncommon Solar to anyone that wants to go or is already using solar.

Top quality service and Enphase system from Uncommon Solar

I can highly recommend Matt and Helen from Uncommon Solar.
Over ten years ago Matt managed the installation of our panels and hooked them up to an Enphase inverter and fabulous enlighten software.
Over those years we used enlighten to manage our power consumption to maximize self consumption. This reduced our bills but we still had lots of excess power which was wasted due to the almost zero feed in tariff.

Early in July this year Matt added Enphase batteries to our System.
Installation was completed on the promised date and was smooth, problem free, and well-managed. Matt was professional, knowledgeable, and continues to provide excellent follow-up support.

To top it off Matt and Helen recommended a great retail energy supply plan—our power bills are now down to just the daily supply charge!.

Sigenergy 24kw and gateway back up

Uncommon Solar made this install so easy from design concept ensuring my needs were met to the install of what has turned out to be a quality product, we changed my old system from an AC Fronius GEN 24 to a DC sigenergy, the on site guys were on site when promised, carrying out the works both tidy and efficiently, i cannot recommend these highly enough.

Matt and Helen of Uncommon Solar have a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in the solar industry.
They have a great selection or solar panels, home batteries and energy efficient appliances and will work with you to get you the best possible outcome based on your individual needs.
Numerous configurations available for the budget conscious and high-end users.
Coupled with a raft of competent, efficient and reliable installers my experience with Uncommon Solar has been exemplary.
After sales support has been terrific.
Since the install Matt has worked with Enphase on my behalf to resolve a software issue after an update didn't go to plan.

Straight forward, no fuss, get the job done installer!

Matt was super helpful with my Reclaim Heat Pump which was installed about 2 years ago.
The concrete slab which the tank sits on was not positioned flat on ground level. Possibly due to the weight of the tank, the slab has cracked, causing the tank to tilt. Over the past weeks, the amount of water released was abnormal like a running tap not small drips. Also the pressure release valve outlet was installed against the tank causing stain on the side of the tank over time.
Matt provided useful advice on the issue and contacted Reclaim on my behalf. I was pleased to learn from Matt that Reclaim was going to reinstall the tank. 3 weeks passed and still not fixed, I contacted Matt who kindly followed up again with Reclaim. Then 3 days later, I have a confirmed date for the fix.
Within the week, the Heat Pump tank was reinstalled, concrete slab was repositioned flat this time with another piece of new slab positioned on top of the previous slab. The PRV was checked and the outlet has also been diverted away from the tank.
It looks and functions very well after the reinstallation. I was very pleased with the outcome and communicated that to Matt.
Matt's simple respond was "I'm just Mr. Fix It." But really, isn't that all we want from all our engagements? Thank you Matt! You're a legend!

Seamless experience from start to finish

Uncommon Solar have been an excellent company to deal with. Matt visited my property and discussed my solar panel and battery options in detail. He was concise and clear and made the selection process easy to understand. The quality of the products is excellent. Matt's team worked extremely well together, with excellent communication. The solar panels and battery were installed over 1 and 1/2 days on the days appointed. Punctuality, politeness and flexibilty were all excellent.
All of the paperwork was handled efficiently by Helen in their office and anything I needed to fill out was sent immediately- solar panel loan and battery forms.
Matt followed up after installation to make sure everything was as it should be and he has set up my solar app to make full use of my new solar energy.

Excellent installer

Matt and team at Uncommon Solar were excellent.
They removed my existing old system and took it all away so I didn’t have to worry about getting rid of it, they installed a 9.5kw solar system and Tesla Powerwall 3 as well.
Their customer service from the very start was unmatched, they provided update information on they install and the quote/ sale, so I knew exactly what was going on from the start to the finish of the installation.
They were very helpful with setting up the system and show me how to use the app and answered any question I had.
Extremely happy with the whole process and would 100% recommend them to family and friends looking to get a solar system or battery system installed.

Highly professional and responsive to particular needs

After comparing a couple of local solar battery installers was impressed by Uncommon Solar's approach and transparency. No hard sell, just information. Matt conducted the site inspection when he said he would and arranged for installation to take place on a day that suited our medical appointment schedule.
Josh and the boys arrived on time and managed the installation without fuss, doing everything neatly in what is an older establishment, and cleaned up after themselves which was a much appreciated service.

Exceptional Customer Service – even after purchase!

Last year, Uncommon Solar impressed me with their initial quote for my PV panels and battery system, compared to other companies. They impressed me again by being able to begin and complete the entire installation ahead of schedule.
Two months later, I ordered a further upgrade of our battery system which they were also able to install quickly and cleanly.
One year later, I needed to use their services again to replace two panels that had been damaged by persons unknown. Again, working with them was prompt and professional, with the replacements being installed ahead of planned schedule.
Most recently, one of my 25 micro-inverters failed but having this replaced promptly under warranty by Uncommon Solar was an absolute non-event.
In today's stressed business climate, my dealings with Matt and Helen from Uncommon Solar can only be described as truly exceptional. If only all companies would treat their customers like this company does (especially post-purchase!)

Thanks Uncommon Solar

We recently decommissioned our 14 year old 3kw system on our Warragul house and installed a new system comprising 10KW of panels and 13.5 KW Powerwall 3 battery

We sought out Uncommon Solar for the full job and have been delighted with the entire process commencing with Matt’s appraisal of our home and advice about a suitable upgrade

From there everything went like clockwork. The quote was very reasonable and the various stages of applications for the Govt rebates (while understandably bureaucratic including the need for stat decs etc) all proceeded smoothly too

At all times we were advised of the next stages including the removal of old panels (which I understand are to be recycled rather than be sent to landfill) - then the installation of new panels, battery and gateway by the electricians - and the subsequent visit by the electrical inspector - were all performed as per the schedule. Hence the system is now officially connected and up and running

Finally Matt made time to call by and check that our “settings” were correct and he explained the use of the Tesla app to monitor our use of the system
