Seamless supported process throughout.
Very attentive and supportive throughout. Installation was on time and professionally performed by a great team. Disruption was minimal. So far am very happy with the GoodWe solution10 months later we asked Brendan: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Exemplary Teamwork
My experience with First Choice Solar was exemplary from day one when Bobby came out and took the time to understand my power needs, and constraints and looked at my roofline for panel layout possibilities and power board needs to upgrade to the new system. His knowledge of solar and electrical was first class and the follow up via the office with Lauren and adherence to schedule was spot on. Removal of the old system with Warren and Thomas was efficient allowing me the time to have my roof repaired and repainted prior to the new system installation. Thomas and his three crew members were professional and timely with the new install. The final result has produced a system that has eliminated my power bill to date at a budget that I was comfortable with and very competitive with opposition installers. First Choice was the only referrral given to me by Solar Quotes as I already had others to call on, however they were the best all around and the most professional that I experienced.Inverter rating: 5/5

Great Service and Design
Office called me to book in a site visit only a matter of hours after submitting my quote request through Solar Quotes. Very efficient, and they were great to deal with throughout the process.Bobby who came out on site made great suggestions as to design to maximise what I could achieve, and was very accommodating of all my questions. He shared a lot of his extensive local experience with solar and battery systems both on the tools and as a designer/salesperson.
Trenching work was required, which left a bit of clean-up/rectification for me after install. They aren't landscapers, so I guess I should have expected that. Otherwise the install was very neat. The team were efficient and very respectful of the space.

Fantastic company to deal with
Excellent service from the sales/quoting process with Nick who was very professional and explained in detail his suggestion for installation of solar panels and battery at our home.The installers arrived as scheduled and got to work straight away. The guys were very polite and cleaned up after the installation. We were shown what they did in the meter box for the installation of the equipment and how to use the app.

Solar installation in our home
We are based on the Gold Coast and decided to install solar in our home. After careful review of 4-5 suppliers in the market, we chose to go with First Choice Solar, due to their experience, being in the market for a long time and their connection and contribution to the community.We have not but good things to say about this company. From their Director, to the Admin associates, the installers, the Supervisors, all of them have been nothing but exceptional and so very customer focused. They are courteous, listen, flexible and prompt in responses and follow ups. We are so glad we chose First Choice Solar for our installation.

Battery inverter installation
Quote was simple and straightforward with some choices to choose from. Installation went well. Jack and Conner were well organised, facilitating an efficient and effective battery inverter installation. Switch box upgrade with sub circuits connected to battery, main switches and change over switch clearly labeled to correct standards, as per quote. Jack assisted with the phone application down load and set up. Both happy to answer questions. System is working very well. I am very happy with the system, thank you.Battery rating: 4/5

Detailed and courteous
Peter explained everything and provided a quote on the spot which detailed information not mentioned by other potential installers. This led to further discussions and meaningful explanations. The installation day arrived and a team of 4 began removing the old system and installing the new one. New safety switches on all circuits were installed in the meter box. Prompt efficient service with good communication
I had previously requested quotes from other companies before contacting solar quotes. I found those companies to be deficient in delivering fully itemised schedules as part of their quote. I found with the three companies put forward by solar quotes that the quotation process was very good with one of the companies in particular setting out their options and pricing very clearly. The only issue that complicated the process was the existence of an existing nine-year-old SolarEdge system with individual micro inverters. How to deal with the original system had varied responses from the three companies. Then result was adding additional 4.7 kW of solar panels a 32 kW battery system and a 10 kW inverter. the battery and inverter are they goodwe brand. The system has been in place for two weeks and is working efficiently with no issues.Solar edge existing- 6.21kW, 4.7kW Tongwei, 32kW Goodwei batteries

Great job & great value!
The quotation process with Matt was straightforward, efficient, easy to understand, and made some good suggestions for my site.Once the quote was locked in and a booking pencilled in, First Choice were wonderful about pushing the date to accommodate delays in other parts of a renovation where the solar + battery was being installed.
When installation day arrived, Jack and the crew turned up on time, were efficient and effective on the job, cleaned up after themselves. Jack gave me a good briefing before he left, as well as checking that all equipment - and my app sign-up - were working as intended.
Support at the office has been consistent and professional.
Would recommend First Choice Solar to anyone looking for a quality job with reliable, professional operators. Five stars!!

Quick, efficient and tidy
Replaced an old 5KW system with 18.8kW of panels, Sigen 15kW inverter, Gateway and 32kWh of Sigen batteries. Very happy with quotation process and speed and neatness of install provided by First Choice Solar. System up and running smoothly and will start to maximise value that battery can generate.

Very experienced from quote to completion
First Choice Solar provided a quote and good information. The installation of the panels had to be delayed due to wind making it unsafe however the Jake and the team returned when the weather condition were favourable and completed to installation The team were excellent all round. First choice solar completed all applications for grid connection and provided me the information to understand the charging and use via the app16 December 2025

Solution speced to our requirements
We found that getting a solar upgrade/battery system was an iterative process. The more we learnt, the more questions we had and we realised the more we would have to spend to get a solution that made us very largely independent from the electricity grid (except for being able to sell surplus generation back into it).Yes, the guys from First Choice did everything right in terms of the installation - very polite, punctual and tidied up meticulously. Gave us a run down on system operation and, importantly, assured us that if we had issues, just to contact the office and they could be dealt with.
Basically, they made the acquisition/installation process (apart from spending a lot of money) as trouble-free as possible, which we very much appreciated.
It’s very early days in terms of our new system’s operation, but we finish the day with a good reserve in the battery and it’s liberating to be able to use electricity when we want/for whatever purpose (particularly air-con) without worrying about how much it is costing to live “comfortably”.
And at the big picture level, we have untethered ourselves from the fiasco that is our country’s botched, ever-more-costly transition to renewable power generation.

Professional, knowledgeable, affordable, friendly, tidy
The team started off with a very friendly and professional introduction and used their knowledge and experience to recommend me an ideal setup which wasn't beyond my needs. I asked for an extra battery and they immediately provided a quote which was discounted due to being installed at the same time etc.The installation day came and the team showed up in time, they were all polite and tidy. They had a few unexpected problems which happens in this field, but they didn't take shortcuts and got the job done. My father in-law is an electrician and said the cable work etc. was all tidy and professional.
The final product is beyond my expectations, the team showed me how to set up the app and explained all of the terminology to me so I can now manage my solar/battery set up by myself.
My final note is that I had used First Choice Solar about 8 years ago for my house solar panels, and had the same great experience last time. That's why I chose them this time to add more panels and batteries.

Not the cheapest, but very good install
Very fast response to initial enquiry with a site visit within a couple of days and quotes immediately afterwards. Price was a little higher than others but longevity of the company, positive reviews and flexibility to my requirements won them the sale.The install went well with a good sized crew that got the majority of the work done and the system functional in one day, with a short visit a couple of days later to finish off a couple of things. Quality of the install and cleanup afterwards was very good. The lead of the crew was very experienced, and made sure the work was done to a high standard.
All of the grid connection and approvals were handled by the installation company and commissioning and setup of the system was fast and efficient. I didn't need much in the way of help with the system as I had been researching it for a while but they still took the time to go through the correct shutdown and startup procedure with me.

A really bad start
We selected First Choice Solar because they had the best price by far for what we wanted however it was only after we paid the deposit that we found that the gear (GoodWe) they were going to install was currently not on Amber Energys list of approved inverters/batteries and that may have changed our decision.Communication - After we paid the deposit we heard absolutely nothing and it was only after I called them 2 weeks later that we found out that the application had been lodged to Energex in my name when my wife is the energy account holder. The application was relodged under her name and again we heard nothing for another 2 weeks when I contacted them to find out what was happening. It seems that because I expressed how unhappy I was with their lack of communication the installation was fast tracked and today I am happy to say that we have a new hybrid inverter and 20kw of battery storage. I appreciate that they are really busy with the new Govt subsidy now available however they really need to improve communication with their customers even if it is just to say your application has been received, we have forwarded it to Energex for approval and we will get back to you in 2 weeks to let you know how it is progressing. In doing this the customer knows that something is happening and has a date by which something else is going to happen.
Installation - Could not be happier with Luke and Jake, the whole process took about 5 hours and Luke worked with me as far as my requirements were concerned. He was extremely professional and kept me up to date with progress how it would affect us by having the power off etc. and throughly tested the whole system before he left. He also showed me how to use the GoodWe app to my advantage

I’m sorry that this is your perception we always endeavour to provide a prompt service. I checked our records and we contacted you immediately after the contract was signed for electic account details and submitted an application to Energex the day we received this information two days after contract was signed. Energex have longer delays now with a flood of applications. Your new inverter and battery was installed 5 weeks after the contract was signed. I have also personally visited since to go over your concerns as want our customers to be happy. I have taken your advice on board and added to our welcome email to expect delays for Energex applications.11 September 2025

Best workmanship
First Choice Solar have fitted our Solar System a couple of years ago and just recently our KWH battery system.Their workmanship and back up service is second to none and nothing is too much trouble.

Competitive pricing, neat & tidy install, helpful advice
The sales & quoting process was helpful & informative (I re-checked against new info about Sigen on the Solar Quotes website).The installation was prompt, neat & tidy, their tradies were polite, helpful and informative.
Their customer service organised the necessary paperwork etc.

Great first contact with follow up being excellent
All parts of the application process was excellent with quick prompt answers to all questions that I had.
Sleak Goodwe solar & battery system
The quoting process was good with no pressure ie time deadlines, answered our questions and gave options to move forward.In regards to the installation they came the day organised and were here first thing and put in a solidays work to get it all completed. All the workers were polite and respectful of us and our property.
There was an issue after the install which was rectified after some back and forth, which in the end was resolved. They did have some communication issues internally.
They showed us how to use the system and did a "power outage" to demonstrate the battery backup kicking in. Clicked in a milli second!
Overall we are happy with the system (even though it's early days) and the service we received.
