Installation of solar system with full electricity backup
We were looking for a complete system that has the ability for a full backup from the battery in case of power failure from the grid.The quote listed a few options from different manufacturers and its respective cost of upgrades.
We decided to go with SigEnergy system that includes its gateway and his quote was quite competitive.
Shan came to visit on-site in order to provide a more accurate quote and suggested a couple of options for the cabling runs. Shan provided a 10 year installation warranty which shows he is in for the long run,
The installation completed in a day with bird-proof mesh netting around the panels. The team consists of an electrician and a two-men team for the panels. They worked well and have good work coordination among them, giving one another a hand when requested. His men work for him which is a plus for us.
After the installation the 'switchover' was tested successfully, and Shan organised the grid connection with our electricity provider.
From the first contact to the handover of the system we had a very good experience with Shan.

Customer focus installer
Shan Gao is one of the best tradesmen I’ve ever dealt with. He consistently delivers more than he quotes for, with excellent communication and genuine care for what the customer wants. He’s punctual, reliable, follow all the rules and his in?house service is far superior to what you get from many contractors.He handled all the grid?connection requirements seamlessly, and his after?sales support has been outstanding. While his prices may not be the absolute cheapest, the value and quality you receive are far beyond what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Don't give up it is worth it!
The process workrd well but you must follow up. In the end it was installed earlier as a installation slot became available.Panel rating: 4/5

Fantastic installer, after sales service, highly recommended
The sales quoting process was excellent—the owner personally visited my home and provided a quote.The installation was seamless, completed on time and on the date promised. The team finished the job efficiently and left the site tidy.
After-sales customer service has been outstanding. They organised my grid connection and the smart meter without any hassle.
My system is now 8 years old, and HelioEnergy has continued to provide excellent support. When a couple of my microinverters malfunctioned, they acted promptly and replaced them as soon as the manufacturer approved the replacements.
I would highly recommend HelioEnergy to anyone, including family and friends.

Patient and very efficient Team
The sales quoting process went well. It took me a couple of months to work out who to go with and what we wanted. The information provided by Solar Quotes helped me make the decision.There was a team of 3 during installation. An electrician, apprentice electrician and a labourer. They were very tidy and punctual. They installed the battery and new solar panels in one day. All rubbish was removed from site. The team answered any questions that we had.
They protected themselves from the sun. Always good to see.
The grid connection was organised by them.

Quick install and good customer follow up
Shan was competitive to match pricing and able to slot the installation day in before the end of the year.The day of installation was quick and smooth.
On final inspection we requested a defective panel to be fixed which was promptly followed up on as well as another wiring issue caused by our own electrician.
Solid work
More than two years later, we’re still extremely happy
We had our 13.2 kW solar system (Fronius Symo inverter + 30 × 440 W Trina Solar panels) installed at the end of November 2023 by HelioEnergy. After more than two years of using the system, it’s still performing exceptionally well, and we’ve also been extremely happy with the service we’ve received from the team. During our first year with the system (from late 2023 into 2024), our electricity bills were reduced by up to around 75% during our summer billing periods and by around 50% during winter, despite our higher electricity usage during the colder months.Back in 2023, while I was looking for a solar installer, I spoke with a number of different companies. In every case, I was dealing with a salesperson, and I often felt they were trying to sell me more. When I called HelioEnergy, I was surprised to find that I was speaking directly with the owner, Shan. He even came out personally to inspect our home and meet with us. Throughout the process, Shan was extremely polite and patient in answering all of my questions. He gave advice that was genuinely in our best interests rather than recommending the most expensive option.
At the time, I was considering different inverter and battery options that would have cost us considerably more. Based on our circumstances, Shan explained that he didn’t think the extra cost made financial sense for us at the time and recommended the option that best suited our needs instead.
Looking back, I’m really glad we followed his advice. We saved a significant amount of money upfront, and his advice about technology continuing to evolve has certainly proven true. Despite not choosing a hybrid inverter, we still have the flexibility to add a battery. For example, the Tesla Powerwall 3, which became available later, includes a built-in inverter, meaning we can still add a battery without having paid extra for a hybrid inverter from the outset.
The installation itself was excellent. The installers were punctual, professional and efficient. I was also surprised when Shan personally came to oversee the installation, which showed how much he cares about the quality of his team’s work. HelioEnergy handled all of the paperwork and rebate applications, making the whole process smooth and hassle-free.
HelioEnergy’s after-sales support has been just as impressive. On the few occasions we had questions or needed assistance, they responded almost immediately and resolved everything promptly.
HelioEnergy’s quote was by far the best out of all the quotes we received. Throughout the entire process, we never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision. Instead, Shan gave honest, knowledgeable advice and recommended the system that genuinely best suited our needs.
More than two years later, we’re still extremely happy with both the system and the service we’ve received. I highly recommend HelioEnergy to anyone considering solar, and would happily recommend them to my own family and friends.
