PSC Energy (previously Penrith Solar Centre) provides solar, battery and EV charging solutions to areas as far north as Newcastle, south to Wollongong and west out to Bathurst, Orange, and Mudgee.
In 2015, founder Jake Warner (who was born and raised in Penrith) took on a solar installation project for a friend under his existing electrical business. Little did he know at the time the decision would change his personal and professional trajectory.
"Penrith proud", the company today employs more than 80 local Western Sydney residents. At its showroom, the team can demonstrate these products.

Sigenergy system being installed
We are in the process of installing a Sigenergy solar solar system from PSC Energy. Unfortunately the completion of the installation has been delayed by a shortage of Sigenergy batteries. It was hard to choose between the 3 suppliers recommended by Solar Quotes - we could have gone with any of them, but in the end PSC was just a little cheaper. We can’t give a final opinion until the full system is commissioned, but their performance so far in installing the roof panels has been impressive.10 months later we asked Brian: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"
I believe the system has performed even better than expected. I love the control and monitoring flexibility I have with the mySigen app, and the 25kW DC EV charger is great for charging my car. I'm looking forward to being able to using V2H/V2G in the future.

Most professional
Very professional, arrived at time stated. very professionally set up truck, polite, tidy, answered all my questions, I am always a sticky-beak. Took their rubbish with them despite it being garbage night that night and my saying they could put it in my bin.Organized grid connection, had it turned on before they left, exactly as I wanted it, basically off the grid unless not enough charge in batteries. showed my who to find details of operation on my computer.
Very happy with whole process, nice company and partially nice installation crew to work with.

Misleading quote has lead to heavy financial implications
I had solar installed on 6 March 2024 after being told my electricity bills would be around $17 per month. That representation was a key reason I agreed to the system.Since installation, my electricity bills have been around $120 per month, not remotely close to what was promised. As of January 2026, I have paid over $2,300 more than what I was led to expect.
During the quoting period, I submitted multiple bills showing my consumption and for 2 years after the install period, I stayed on the same energy plan they quoted off.
The sales estimate provided to me does not reflect real-world outcomes and appears to have been based on unrealistic assumptions and has left me heavily financially impacted and regretting the purchase.
I have been in contact with them and we are still no where near a resolution to the misleading quote.

Awesome company and a great install.
My solar journey has been one that was started over 4 years ago. Many quotes and many more questions, all of which were answered above and beyond by Shane from PSC Energy. Not once in the past 4 or so years was i made to feel unwelcome or pushed aside as just being a tyre kicker with a million questions. Nothing was pushed onto me or was i made to feel forced into anything. Many different quotes, system designs and years later and nothing really fulfilling all of my needs. Then the battery rebate and the Sigenergy system was shown to me by the great team at PSC Energy as they remembered what i was after. Full 3 phase back up. Shane had a quote done up and sent to me we signed and accepted it and the rest they say is history.I went with a 48kWh Sigenstore, 20kw 3 phase EC(inverter) and 14kw of all black 500w panels and racking. I couldn't be happier with it. My main goal was $0 electricity bills or as close to it as possible. I have not paid an electricity bill since the system went in, i am in fact in credit.
I cannot recommend Jake and his team at PSC Energy enough. Anything solar or battery give them a bell and grab a quote. You won't be disappointed.

Highly recommend PSC
The process from start to finish was very easy and professional. Our start date was locked in, I was contacted a week prior to ensure everything was still on track, the team showed up in the morning and the job was done in a day.17 November 2025
Really easy to deal with, top quality installation and setup
Really helpful and thorough during the sales processInstallers were great, very clean and tidy job
Customer service was very good and responsive
Only negatives were:
The originally designed panel layout would not actually fit, so had to drop the size from 25 to 24 panels
Repeatedly told they would be arriving between 7am & 8am on the day, in reality they didnt arrive until 9am and to be fair to the crew they had to travel ~2 hours to get here, suspect they default to 7-8 and dont actually factor in additional travel
They also issued the final invoice in the morning of they install day, before the panel change as mentioned above, would be bettered served issuing the invoice towards the end of the install not at the start of the day

Not installed yet so full review pending
PSC were very helpful, and were answer our questions. Unfortunately due to high demand we were unable to qualify for 2025 rebates and ended up with the lesser 2026 rebates as our system is not due for install until jan 2026.But they were able to trim the total price to a figure that was competitive with other installers.

My review
After service from Penrith Solar has been great, although I had to raise problems I thought they should have picked up, installation was quick and professional with a full team of three trucks, clean up was tidy and complete with 2 roof tiles replaced, monitoring is left to yourself, educate yourself as you may need to raise tinkering issues with installer’s later, return from company is very quick and prompt,I would use this installer again.Inverter rating: 5/5

Satisfied Customer
I chose PSC from the three companies referred by Solarquotes as they were the more proactive and the installation team were all in-house (no subcontractors). The original quote was before the NSW government battery subsidy was discontinued, PSC did give me a discount on the updated price, which was unexpected but much appreciated.The installation team arrived on the day and time specified, I was expecting to have some conduits running up walls but all wiring was concealed leaving a very neat installation.17 X 500 W panels ( 8.5 KW ) 24KWH battery.

I wouldn't trust them. They will ignore you, block you and delete you. Not very professional
They attended my premises in May 2025 and gave a quote that was accepted, and the entire amount was paid in full. They installed the battery prior to the 1 July rebate date. They made an appointment to attend my property on 1 July to commission the battery.When I hadn't heard from them, I contacted their office and was told that they had been made promises by Chris Bowen regarding the rebates and based their quotes on those promises only to have those promises reneged and they now faced losing over 1.5 million on batteries they had already installed.
They then asked if I could pay more money towards my battery to help them stay afloat so they would be around to offer warranty and aftersales service etc. I offered to pay an additional $1000, and I transferred the money to them that day and they attended my premises and commissioned the battery.
I now see them posting photos of Chris Bowen visiting their business and lavishing praise on the man that allegedly almost cost them 1.5 million and possibly their business. If they had any decency left, they would refund the addition money I gave them as they clearly lied about Chris Bowen.
The installers did a good job and were polite, on time and professional. The product supplied is good quality and I have no issues with the battery.
I have attempted to contact them via email and their Facebook page several times and they have never responded to any of my enquiries. I did comment on their recent post regarding the visit of Chris Bowen to their business and my comment was deleted and I was blocked. Not what I would consider a professional attitude towards a customer who not only paid in full but then gave extra money to help you out.

Highly Recommend PSC Energy for Solar & Battery Installations
From the very beginning, PSC made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The team was on time, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. They recommended and supplied a 13 kW AIKO solar panel array paired with the Sigenergy SigenStor 10 kW inverter and 24 kWh battery system, which has been a perfect fit for our needs.The installation was completed to a very high standard — the crew worked efficiently, respected our home, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. It was obvious they take pride in their work. Since commissioning, the system has been running flawlessly. The backup feature kicked in seamlessly during a recent outage, keeping our home powered without interruption.
I’ve also been impressed that the system’s solar output has closely matched the Solcast production estimates, which gives me confidence in both the system design and its long-term performance.
I couldn’t be happier with both the gear and the service. I’d happily recommend PSC to anyone considering solar and battery — they really know their stuff and deliver on their promises.

Good Installation Company, But Lacking in Detail
About three years ago, I had solar panels installed, and the system has been working perfectly without any issues. Due to the weather, the installation took place over two days, and the overall result was quite good. However, there were a few disappointing details. For example, the cables were not secured to the floor of the roof-ceiling cavity but were left loosely laid out (though I’m not sure if this is electrically acceptable). Also, a roof pipe was cut short, but the top part wasn’t replaced with a proper fitting, which was a letdown. Additionally, after the ladder was removed, tree branches have been accumulating in the area where the ladder had been placed—this seems to be due to the gutter not being properly restored afterward. I wish these small issues had been explained or addressed, as they make a difference in the overall quality.Inverter rating: 5/5

Very happy with Penrith Solar Centre (now PSC Energy)
PSC installed my 9.5kWh Enphase and Trina system in November 2023. Love the Enphase microconverters on each panel; great for efficiency. From start to finish, the process was entirely without any problems. Staff were very kind and very helpful throughout.My tiled roof is now 106 years old and probably quite brittle. I got 30 extra second-hand tiles for free from local FB page, just in case. The installers only used about 5 of the extra tiles. The care taken with my installation by PSC is evident from the fact I have had NO LEAKS (even after so much rain!), or other problems for that matter, in the time since.
Much appreciated, as I was really quite worried about my roof.
In late May 2025, I had PSC install a huge 24kWh Synergy battery, with 3-phase backup. Installation was entirely professional and a very good experience for me. It hasn't been commissioned as yet so as to retain elligibility for government rebates, but I expect no problems.
I would recommend PSC to anyone who wants one company to do, and be responsible for, everything. No chance of a fly-by-night installer disappearing and customer being left with problems. A bit more expensive, because installers are all employed staff of PSC, not contractors, but worth for peace-of-mind IMO.
PSC is a very established business, with a very good reputation. I'm very impressed with PSC and am more than happy to reccomend them highly.

Really great experience from start to finish.Peter from sales team took the trouble to visit the property, discuss options and generally guide us through the decision making process.
Installation team led by Nathaniel were excellent, really knowledgeable, quick and a very neat installation.

yes. It's been trouble free. Worst power bill so far was negative 22cents! Ran A/C day & night through a hot summerwithout any trouble & without a power bill.
