Hassle Free Consultation and Install

Rhys did a fantastic job getting in contact and took the time to answer all my questions and ran through everything at my home. Over the span of 9 months Rhys was available to update quotes and answer questions about the solar and battery system. He always made sure to reach out even if he missed a call and was always available one way or another.

The install was smooth and hassle free, the boys arrived on time and provided a professional installation. At the end of the installation I was run through the system and how to operate and maintain the solar and battery system.

I can’t recommend RenewCo any higher, just really hard to find any fault. They are also providing a service once a year to review our bills and recommend better energy suppliers for a solar and battery system.

Thank you RenewCo!

Complex inner city site

Sales process was very good, responsive and prompt.
Installation was not. Installers were late (waiting parts) and went on into the night. They had to come back to sort out 3 different problems. However they were polite and answered questions when pushed.
In my view the company was let down by administration systems and poor communication. There did not seem to be anyone monitoring the installation or joining up the dots. They have new software to manage customer service but my experience was not positive, with my feedback disappearing into the ether and on-the-ground workers not fully in the loop. Late in the process I was contacted by someone appointed to deal with these sorts of situations but I would have valued this from the start.
I recommend any customer be quite assertive in checking everything is correct during installation and ask for a key contact who can inform, advise and fix any issues straight up.
No problems at all with grid connection end of the process.

Hi Roy, we apologise for being late day 1 due to the explained issues with parts supplies and for working into the night to try and get the job done, the install was very complicated and we did our best. Subsequently, issues can happen, but it’s how we deal with them that we find most important. Excellent service and installation

The sales rep, Kurt, was very knowledgeable and sincere when he first inspected my home. He demonstrated genuine concerns for his customer with his multiple follow ups after the installation to ensure everything run smoothly.

The installation was perfectly executed. The team was very friendly and professional. They cleaned up well afterwards.

Overall, it has been a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

A positive battery experience

Having had mixed experiences with other solar suppliers in the past I was a bit wary of what to expect from RenewCo when we enquired about a battery installation.
It didn’t take long though to realise that I was dealing with a professional outfit. From the response to my first enquiry to the conversation on site with Rhys about our options and follow up clarifications, I felt comfortable with the team’s knowledge and desire to help us understand what we were getting into. The installation of the Sigen battery (only 1 week ago) was more of the same - prompt arrival, clear explanation of the process beforehand and a thorough run through of the system and the Sigen app. And now the commitment to review our first post installation bill to ensure that the system is operating effectively. I would recommend RenewCo to anyone thinking about installing a battery.

Updated review

We chose Renew Co as our installer following good reviews (we found them through Solar Quotes) and because our neighbour’s positive experience with them. The sales process was better than other quotes we received as they actually conducted a site visit and were very responsive to our queries! It made a difference in our ultimate decision to go with Renew Co. They weren’t the cheapest but offered good quality gear (Sygenergy) at a good price. We downloaded the Renew Co app (a very good initiative) that is loaded with heaps of resources. Our initial installation experience was not quite as slick as expected after watching the videos etc. on the app. We had some concerns post installation that Renew Co took on board immediately, responding quickly and with professionalism. It’s a rarity these days to find a company that is serious about its commitment to quality. Renew Co have taken our experience on board, addressing all concerns comprehensively and using that to improve service for others. Full marks to Renew Co for their preparedness to improve through critical analysis. Pete, their Customer Experience lead and his crew have been outstanding. What could have been an average experience has been turned into gold. The system is working really well. We are very happy to recommend Renew Co. as a fair dinkum company that will work hard to give you a good deal and great results, even when things don’t go as planned at first. Five stars from us.

Top-notch service from sales to installation

Really happy with my experience with RenewCo Solar from start to finish. Todd was great on the sales side — patient, knowledgeable, and happy to work through multiple changes to the quote until it was right for us.
The install team led by Casey was professional and efficient. The job site was left clean and tidy, which I appreciated. Post-install, I had a question and needed someone to come take a look — they were out the same day, found nothing wrong, and I've had zero issues since.
Would absolutely use RenewCo again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Premium solar installation, strong customer focus

After countless quotes and comprehensive research, RenewCo were selected due to their depth of knowledge, strong customer focus and trustworthy in-person quote. Sales rep Mitch was highly informative, with a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of solar panels, batteries, energy providers, EV chargers and emerging technology. Although I had a fair wait for the install, on the day the team were professional and efficient. Overall I was very happy with my selection and all aspects of their service.

New for (very) old solar system

Competitive quote with best technology of those we spoke to.

Installation was excellent - old system removed and new system completely installed on the day (although had to go until after dark). Really neat installation of battery and gateway.

Some issues quickly rectified the next day and since then we have been almost off the grid even on cloudy days in the middle of winter.

Very nice to deal with

The quote was very informative. Easy for two people without too much technical know how to work out.
The installers did arrive later than the designated time but did call to let me know.
They were tidy and didn't leave any mess.
We didn't get a lot of information on how to use the app other than to say it was working. We are both in our 80s so maybe we aren't very quick with tech.
We have had a problem with our oven tripping and cutting out since the installation. A technician has been back and help rectify the problem. This was a problem with our oven not the installation.
I would recommend this company.

Top notch Sigenergy installation

The whole experience from site inspection to installation was excellent. During site inspection, Kurt was very helpful and patient with my barrage of questions on how the system would work, recommended capacity, options and capabilities. Great battery, installation and service before and after installation.

We got 3 quotes for a home battery and judged RenewCoSolar the most suitable. This was based on their site visit, with attention to detail and advice on an installation plan, and their promise of after installation support.
Their actual service , from installation, commissioning and follow up were all very good and matched the promises made in their quotation.

We had a five-star experience with RenewCo Solar

We had a very positive experience with RenewCo Solar from start to finish. The quoting stage, handled by Mitch, was thorough and well considered. He took the time to design a system that suited our needs and communicated brilliantly at every stage of the process. Thanks as well to Will and the installation team, who worked really hard, kept everything tidy, and were easy to deal with throughout. The process was smooth and professional, and we’re very happy with the end result. We would happily recommend.

RenewCo Sigenergy installed

Start to finish the experience with RenewCo was excellent. Mitch was helpful and patient with explaining how the sigenergy system worked, and sorting through our particular situation. He clarified that we would be able to add more panels to the roof to boost solar output and get good use out of the 24kWh battery. Also how we could put a timer on the hot water tank. And, taking into account being able to charge the EV. At installation time, Corey and team, make a careful and thorough job of putting everything in place; the extra panels, the sigenergy stack of 3 battery modules and the 10amp inverter. I was impressed by them dealing with the intricacies of adjusting the wiring in the switch board and setting up the stack. Good on you RenewCo for having knowledgable and diligent people on board.

Excellent installer at every step of the process

When starting the process of getting a battery installed I was provided with three reputable companies from SolarQuotes. Two of them engaged me via email and phone calls but didn’t do a site visit. RenewCo Solar took the time to book in a site visit and their sales/presales person Rhys was excellent. He knew the product, rules and installation challenges and listened to my requirements. He then took that on board and provided a competitive quote which I knew would not have any surprises as he understood all of the details of my installation.
When the recall occurred with SigEnergy he was quick to call and advise of what the situation was and what could be done. Although the installation moved into 2026 RenewCo Solar honoured all prices and government subsidies.

Installation was lead by Corey who again took into account my requirements and ensured the team did a clean install. He took the time to explain the details of each component and how it all connected to my existing solar panels.
Further, the company founder Matthew came onsite to buy the team lunch, a sign that he values his employees who are critical to the company’s success.

Not withstanding the SigEnergy recall delays which RenewCo Solar could do nothing about I would highly recommend them.

Excellent service from start to finish

We recently had our solar and battery system installed by RenewCo Solar and the whole process has been excellent from start to finish.

Mitch was fantastic throughout the pre-install and signup process, taking the time to explain everything clearly, provide multiple quote options and help us choose the right setup for our needs without any pressure.

The installation itself was seamless, with Korey and his team doing a great job on the day. Everything was completed professionally, neatly and with minimal disruption.

What has really stood out is that the support has continued even after the installation, with the team still providing helpful feedback and guidance now that the system is up and running.

Very happy with the experience overall and would happily recommend RenewCo Solar to anyone considering solar and battery installation.

Good value and sales advice - lackluster post install customer service

I got my first quote from RenewCo Solar in May 2025. Solid pricing, and the company reviews looked good. Product advice from the sales team was good. Unfortunately this was right before it was advised the NSW rebate would not stack with the federal rebate (June 2025). Understandably not RenewCo's fault. They responded well by sweetening the deal for those that had already been quoted. At the time I saw a couple of posts in a Sigenergy Facebook group of install issues by RenewCo Solar. The owner was very active in the group, and admitted fault with the install problems and showed fast rectification. His responses seemed genuine and the issues seemed at fault of fast business growth and staff onboarding. We decided to go ahead and signed contract (June 2025).

Despite being advised the install would get booked in for early August 2025 by the sales rep, it ended up being early/mid September 2025. Bit disappointing, but the industry was getting smashed with installs because of the new rebate, and RenewCo was quick to communicate at this time. I am also located a couple hours west of Sydney, I suspect this probably contributed to the delay with their planning.

Install time came. I was advised installers would arrive after 7:30am, they arrived about 6:45am. Normally not an issue but with two young children and expecting a newborn any day it was disruptive. Installers were friendly and communicative. I had an existing 12kw panel array and was replacing my existing Fronius inverter with a Sigenergy inverter/battery. The new battery/inverter was installed in the garage, where the existing inverter was. The existing cabling and conduit runs were used, which isn't the neatest due to the repositioning of the Sigenergy equipment to being floor standing versus the old wall mounted inverter, but I guess it could be worse. We spoke about the positioning of the bollards, disappointingly they were not installed symmetrically as discussed. Gateway was installed near the meter box. I supplied a canopy which the installers were happy to put above the Gateway. The installers assisted with installing the Sigenergy app and gave a run through of how it operated before leaving.

I discovered during later testing that when switching the system to off-grid via the app, it would not switch back to on-grid. The only way to resolve this was to manually turn off the battery and turn it back on. I originally raised this via email/phone, and again via RenewCo's new app/support tickets (still September 2025). This was still unresolved when the recall was announced in November 2025 (and still is), so I figured I would wait for the inverter to be replaced and see if it was resolved after that.

I reached out to RenewCo at the beginning of January 2026 as I still had not heard anything from them about the recall and when my inverter would be replaced. They advised stock was coming but couldn't advise a date. Followed up again at the beginning of February 2026, still no ETA. On 20th February 2026 I was sent a message saying I had been booked in for 24th February 2026. This was then changed to 3rd March 2026 later that day. On the afternoon 2nd March 2026 I reached out to find out an expected time for the installer to arrive, I was advised that the installer scheduled for the job was sick and they would need to reschedule and would get back in contact shortly to advise a new date. I have attempted to make contact via their ticket system (as requested) on 5th, 13th, 17th, and again on the 26th March 2026 with zero response.

Overall, customer service has been far less than expected. I'd had higher hopes based on initial interactions and the owners activeness in Facebook groups. The new ticket system/app looked like it would help streamline things but clearly hasn't, at least in my experience. Not sure if it is a fault of the rapid business growth, un-eagerness to travel to jobs outside Sydney, or just a disregard for customers once the job has been 'done' and paid for.

The system itself has been operating fine, except for the fact that output was restricted via remote firmware update by Sigenergy when the recall was announced. Hence, being eager to get the new inverter installed. Oh and the apparent potential fire hazard of the recalled unit... To be still waiting 5 months in from the announcement of the recall is concerning.

Smooth Sailing

The SolarQuotes website and referral service was first rate - lots of practical advise and non-technical explanations for exploring options and decisionmaking for consumers starting from ground zero in their knowledge of solar systems. Highly recommend anyone starting out to spend time going through the SolarQuotes information sources..

Of the three companies recommended by SolarQuotes only two provided quotes. RenewCo Solar was more expensive than the second company which disqualiied itself by using pressure tactics, sparse information and manufactured deadlines. Sam of RenewCo Solar was methodical in approach and thoroughtly answered every question asked in both an extended site visit and in follow-ups. We were happy to wait out the 3 month delay before installatioin as Sam had given us a high level of confidence in the company. RenewCo Solar met our high expectations and more.

Installation was carried out by Sigenergy who arrived exactly on schedule and completed the work efficiently with a full tidy up a the end. Scott suggested taking vidieo of the handover which is a very useful idea as there is a huge amount to take in.

As for tips to others thinking of solar these are some things that took us by surprise (1) upgrading of the fuse box is expensive and complex and may involve changing its location to meet modern requirements (2) if you need a smartmeter installed it is preferable for it to be done after the solar is in place (3) taking a video of the handover process is very useful.

In conclusion, I have no hesitation in recommending SolarQuotes, RenewCo Solar and Sigenergy to others embarking on the solar journey.

New Installation

Quoting, deciding on location, etc took a bit time, but a lot of that was on our side as we were investigating options. RenewCoSolar had been recommended to us which was one of the deciding factors, and we never had a bad feeling about any of the communications.

Our initial install date was Nov 2025, but the Sigen recall put us back a few months but we were kept in the loop.

The installation team turned up on time, worked away quietly, well as quietly as power tools allow, let us know when power was going off/on. They tidied up after themselves which is something I rate companies on highly.

The app was setup for us and shown the basic operation of it. Some more tips and tricks FAQ documentation would be handy, but the support email address is quick and helpful.

Poor support

Two strings of panels were installed. It was clear from day one that only one string of panels was functioning. After two weeks we were told (incorrectly) that the panels were functioning, it was just the per-panel monitoring that was faulty or misconfigured. It's now been six weeks, and after numerous messages on multiple support tickets, we are still waiting for a technician to be scheduled to visit.
They have a system for logging faults, but be warned, it appears that only new posts are read; if you reply to a post it won't be read by anyone.

Worth the wait - solar and battery

Kurt is a professional and attentive sales person who did a thorough pre quote site inspection. He listened to my needs and showed flexibility in changing aspects of design after initial quote . I was warned of the lengthy wait for install due to the huge demand for batteries. Prior to install Kurt did a second onsite visit to confirm details such as the routing of the DC cables to minimise visual impact.
Installation happened on the date promised and while it stretched to a second day due to rain on day 1 the installation went smoothly by a team that clearly knew what they were doing. The work is extremely tidy and the team cleaned up afterwards. Battery was commissioned successfully and system is performing beyond expectations.
I have already recommended RenewCo to other people and would not hesitate to use them again.
