The least pushy sales force, the most trustworthy company.

The sales team were professional and respectful. The quote was the best value for a bigger and better system than the two alternatives we explored.

What was really incredible is the extra effort they went to when I asked to sign on the last working day before the financial year end, when the ACT Govt free loan offer expired. They worked all weekend to process my application and get it to the credit provider in time.

The installation was booked in for a day four months in advance and happened in one day on the very day. Any business which can manage a schedule so reliably must know their stuff.

The three young men who installed were very courteous and friendly. More importantly, they were experts, communicated what they would do, when and how and did it neatly and with no fuss.

The entire process, from initial consultation, through recommendations of the best system for us through the paperwork, grid connection, app setup and after installation follow up was seamless.

If only there were more businesses in Canberra with such a high standard of customer service.

5-Star Solar Installation Experience

I had a fantastic experience with ECG for my solar installation from start to finish. The quote was detailed, transparent, and returned promptly, which gave me confidence right away. They even conducted a site visit before I accepted the quote, taking the time to answer all my questions thoroughly.

Installation was impressively fast—although I was told it could take up to 14 weeks, the system was installed just 3 weeks after I accepted the quote. The team was professional, efficient, and easy to deal with throughout the process.

The customer service was outstanding. Every interaction was friendly, informative, and supportive. They were always available to answer questions, kept me updated throughout the process, and made sure I felt confident in every step. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in delivering a great experience.

Excellent experience with ECG battery installation

The quoting process was good and provided me with all the information I needed to make a decision about my battery installation. The actual installation was done in a timely and efficient manner. The installation team arrived at 7.30am as they had said they would. They were professional but friendly and I found them very easy to deal with. They were also very tidy and removed all the waste material when they left. The grid connection was organised by the installers and they gave me a run down on how to use the battery at the end of their work. ECG also installed the solar panels on my house roof in 2024 and that job was done to my complete satisfaction as well.

Excellent advice and installation

The team from ECG offered the best quote for a 3x8 kW battery out of three local companies. They were prompt in conducting a site visit and were fully knowledgeable about the standards for battery location.
We agreed on an installation date and they stuck to it, turning up on time and completing the installation that day, despite our house having a few access issues for such heavy equipment. The site was left clean and tidy.
The installers gave me a good run down of the battery operation and they took care of all grid connections and regulatory requirements.
The manual and warranties were provided and the activation of the battery App worked without a hitch.
We had a very good experience and would happily recommend ECG.

Fast, efficient and effective

With the ACT sustainable scheme for batteries ending without much notice, ECG quickly got my quote out and accepted. The work was scheduled and delivered on time. They worked with my existing setup instead of other providers who wanted to do new setup. This saved having to remove my existing inverter which would have potentially gone to landfill. The system is working perfectly. I am glad I went with local expertise. Thabk you to the team for all the hard work.

Dream installation of both solar cells and battery.

With the solar cells there was a bit of negotiation on the correct placement on our roof. ECG hit on an elegant solution by dividing the placement to two locations which got the best sun and were out of the way for roof maintenance and visual from the street. ECG explained the benefits of the Synergy battery - modular, accepts direct DC current from the cells, can power the house if there is a black out.

For both installations we found ECG staff, punctual, polite and most importantly cleaned up after themselves. They help us put the app on our phones, set it up so it worked seamless ever since and trained my wife and I on how to use them. It was a delight to work with ECG and I cannot recommend them enough. The attached photos show that the installation looks neat and tidy and has worked well ever since it was installed.

I chose ECG Electrical for my Solar Installation as my sister used them for her system and she was very happy. My own experience was exactly the same. The whole process was seamless. From quoting to installation was all done whilst I was living overseas! They are always quick to respond to all correspondence and are very knowledgeable and helpful. ECG Electrical - 5 Stars All Around

We recently had the team from ECG Electrical complete a major overhaul and upgrade of our solar energy system at our home on the Sunshine Coast. The project, undertaken by a team of amazing electrical and solar professionals, was completed in 3 days.
This was no small feat, considering the scope of the project, which included removing the now inefficient 20 year old solar panels and solar hot water system from the tile roof, replacing them with 41 x 450W latest technology solar panels, removing the existing 5Kw inverter and replacing it with a 20.0kW Sigenergy 3 Phase Energy Controller with 4 MPPTs, installing six Sigenergy batteries with a total battery storage capacity of 48Kw, installing an iStore 18.4kW Pool Heat Pump and finally a SPT Phantom All-in-One 270 Litre Heat Pump to provide an endless supply of hot water to our large 4++ bedroom home.
The team from ECG provided exceptional before, during and after installation service and delivered a complex project on time and on budget. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and highly recommend ECG Electrical for all your solar and electrical needs here on the Sunshine Coast.

Installation of new 10kw solar system

Prior to proceeding with ECG they answered many questions I had regarding possible location of the panels, location of the inverter use of stands etc and they also visited my home several times.

I obtained three quotes and ECG supplied the most competitive price which was markedly cheaper. The quote was very detailed and entailed the removal of my old 10kw 55 panel system and the installation of a new 10kw 21 panel system. The installation was very neat and no penetration of my roof was required which means I don’t have to worry about leaks. The complete old system was replaced including cabling. The team worked from 8am to 6pm during which we had several showers in the area.

As a result of replacing my old 10kw system of 55 panels with 10kw system using 21 panels I now have considerable spare roof space to add another 20kw system.

As I was replacing like for like system there was no need for grid connection after install. I now have a simple solar edge app which shows me in real time what my system is generating. I highly recommend ECG for their professional service throughout the process from start to finish.

Very solid system, happy with results.

ECG were happy to provide multiple comprehensive quotes for different options. They were transparent about how the various rebates applied. I independently researched the prices of various components, and ECG offered the best deal on price, from the field of three recommended installers.

After the deposit was paid they organized the installation promptly. However, I did have to insist on getting a site inspection, as I wanted to be sure about the location of the battery before the installation date. ECG did provide this once I requested it.

Installation went smoothly. They had a big crew, and seem to have done a very solid job. So far very happy with the system performance, it is delivering exactly as designed.

ECG a reliable, professional installer of panels and batteries

ECG was recomended by solar quotes. They came to our home to see our custom needs (panels on the hose and garage- inverter in the garage to suit later battery and charging station instalation). They gave quotes for a few options, arrived on the agreed date, did a clean effective job and gave us all the info and were friendly and professional. This year they sent an offer for matching solar edge batteries and installed the batteries in the planned. location. The system has performed without any issues and within specs. I highly recommend ECG for professional service.

Highly Recommended

ECG completed our initial 20kw panel install along with a single Tesla Powerwall several years ago. Fast forward to now, with the government rebates and a special on the runout of the Powerwall 2, we decided to install a second battery to boost our storage capacity. Every interaction we have had with ECG has been a breeze and hassle free, and their after sales service is impeccable. We have had both family and friends share the same experience, everyone cannot speak highly enough of their experience with ECG Electrical. Can't fault ECG Electrical (Canberra)

Couldn't fault the ECG process: practical advice for the initial "site scoping" and simple quote process. The actual installation couldn't have been smoother, and we are very impressed with the result. Tidy installation with minimal visible cabling and/or conduits, completed the whole installation in a day (including second storey solar install).Our existing solar system was completely integrated with the new (Sigenergy) battery and additional solar panels.

Smooth process and timely delivery.

The company was prompt in dealing with us, and we had a very useful site visit which resulted in us ordering a larger but cheaper system. Wait time was not too long. I appreciated the fact that only 25% was required as a deposit. One hitch with installation but it was sorted out and all was done in one day. Very happy so far with the performance of the system and the app.

Happy customer

After dealing with 4 different installers and receiving a variety of quotes from each, I
landed on ECG as they gave me the most confidence that they’d do a good job. They physically attended the property (unlike their competitors) right from the get go, and while they weren’t the cheapest, they eventually came around to matching a competitors price.

The install went smoothly and the crew were professional and friendly. System is up and running and working well, as it should.

My only gripe was the installation of the canopy over the inverter. It was installed too low (twice). Have spoken to one of the company directors asd have been assured it will be rectified.

Would use ECG again, and recommend them to others (as I already have).

Great installer

ECG did the online proposal based on my usage and then came out and did a site inspection when I confirmed I was interested.

Their options were cost effective and well explained. in the end their service, warranty and price made us chose them.

ECG do their own installs and the team were prompt, cleaned up after themselves and did a neat job on the cabling and install.

Their estimates were conservative and so far we are generating well over the estimate even with shading.

Responsive company, great service.

After seeking three quotes, I was immediately impressed with the responsiveness of ECG and their ability to answer my questions quickly and easily. I was tossing up different combinations of system but ended up with panels, inverter, and heat pump. I ultimately chose ECG over the other quotes because I was attracted to them as a family business (their materials talked about their personalised service rather than their commercial clients), and the pre-install admin was personal and easy to negotiate. The guys doing the install were all highly professional and respectful of the impact of the work, and were super easy to deal with. The system is working great so far (day 5), and I'm extremely pleased with the whole process from start to finish.

ECG listened and delivered

ECG was the only one of the three companies quoting on my installation that insisted on coming out to visit the site. I wanted to max out the roof with panels, install batteries and an EV Charger. The job was complicated by the presence of an existing 13 year old PV system. Cailin (the sales rep) was excellent, answering my questions, discussing where best to locate components and helpfully identifying that the legacy rebate from my existing system was well worth preserving.

Installation of panels, inverters, batteries and solar charger went very smoothly and was completed in a day. The old system was removed and the site left clean and tidy. The installation team was polite and efficient.

It took a couple of days after installation to get all the bits talking to each other and the software performing correctly but Craig kept on the case until everything was right. The system has been inspected and an electrical certificate issued.

Good value, amazing personalised service from company directors themselves

ECG electrical were great, from start to finish.

Very upfront and honest about what would work, and why other options wouldn't be as good (significant shading). No question was too much, and they remained super respectful when they knew I was speaking to other companies - they didn't try sway me away from using anyone else, always just let me know what they could offer and why they weren't the cheapest, but overall I was very satisfied they were the best overall package and value.

The sales to install process was smooth and no delays encountered, and they organised to work with a HVAC company to synchronise the shared services required for other upgrades required, and infact managed to do a huge amount of the solar install work a few days early whilst HVAC was happening meaning the actual install was super efficient on the day. They were flexible in installing inverter opposite side of house to meter to ensure it was in the best spot, accessible but out of sun and weather - it's those small details that show they are passionate about just getting it right.

ECG organised literally everything in the background - meter upgrade request, network approvals and reports, STCs, everything. All I did was accept, pay a small deposit, final balance after install was complete and working. They did everything else.

I cannot fault their service and professionalism from start to finish, and have no doubt if I have any further questions arise or issues were to develop, they will be right there willing to assist.

Great Company, Great Service

ECG Electrical were polite and professional from the start to finish. The day of installation, the workers were all very polite and communicated very well with me when issues came up, they were able to resolve the issue ensuring the process was smooth sailing. Once the solar panels were installed, i had a quick query and they called me within 30 minutes of my email in the late afternoon. They fitted my roof with a high quality panel and their pricing beat my other quotes with cheaper panels. Can't recommend them enough!

Good quality poor customer service

ECG installed our solar, heat pump and completed some electrical work around the house including an additional fuse box. Their initial engagement was great and the quality if the work was high.

Unfortunately, on every engagement they did what they wanted rather than what was requested.
I asked them to Max the solar capacity on my roof.. they didn't,
I required the inverter on the other side of the house, they claimed it wasn't possible.. it was.
I requested a new fuse box with specific sized circuits to run specialist equipment, they installed smaller circuits.
I asked for our heat pump to be connected to the main switch box rather than the new closer fuse box.. they didn't, then shrugged and said they would need to leave my hot water off over Xmas and sort it out later.

Every time they said, oh.. that wasn't quoted despite it clearly being requested or gave an excuse which has since been corrected by another electrician.

After my last attempt to get the heat pump connected correctly the owner decided to communicate in a condescending way.

The largest expense will be adding additional solar without the rebate being available and moving the inverter.

I'll never use ECG again. I’m slowly getting their work corrected by other electricians to achieve what was initially requested.

So far so good!

Got a quote from 4 companies and ended up going with ECG Electrical due to their solid reputation in Canberra as well as offering the most competitive price for the components they had put together. The installation went smoothly and they did an excellent job on the day with very neat cabling around the inverter. Only had the system for a month but it seems to be performing quite well.

Very efficient process

ECG were super fast and efficient. The service was quite impersonal, it had a factory feel. But they covered everything I wanted to know before I even asked so it wasn't an issue. The install crew were really lovely and helpful. As far as I can tell ECG sorted everything perfectly.

Trouble free installation

I gave ECG 5/5 in all categories as I had nothing to complain about. I was indecisive about quality of the system as this would be marked against other systems and I know nothing about them. I’ve had two minor glitches, neither of which interfered with functionality. EGC also installed a Tesla Powerwall for my daughter and she was similarly pleased. Will recommend EGC to considering Solar.

Purchase and installation of solar system

A good company to deal with. Office staff were helpful and they organised a quote quickly. Installation was delayed for 2 months due to a backlog of work caused by wet weather. They came 2 days ago and finished the job in one day. The system is working well and the monitoring app is very useful. The fellows who installed the system were polite and to my eye the work looks neat and tidy. Original ratings

12 months later we asked Rex: "Are you happy with the performance of your system so far?"

Yes. I received a credit on my last electricity bill. The system is operating close to the estimated annual as per the quotation. ECG Electrical have provided excellent service and responded quickly when I reported a roof leak which was fixed and arranged to have damage to the ceiling fixed including repainting the ceiling.

Very happy with the informative advice and responsive service. Thrilled with the quality and price. Tidy. Punctual. Polite. Answered my multitude of silly questions with patience, and were very helpful.

ECG did a Great Job, recommended for the ACT region

ECG did a pretty good job of discussing quotes and options throughout the whole process. They organised the grid connection and meter upgrade and that all seemed to go smoothly.
I will definitely give a shoutout to their installation crews. They installed a couple of standard powerpoints in my garage (it previously only had one) and changed the line from the garage to a separate circuitbreaker (previously linked to another section of the house) at my request on the day. The day of install also had multiple small showers interrupting the installation. Towards the end of the day, they called in additional hands and managed to get the install done before sunset. Great Lads, much appreciated.

Still very satisfied after 2.5 years

We received 3 quotes through Solarquotes and selected ECG Electrical on the basis that the person who came to talk to us was actually a manager in the business and not a salesperson regurgitating pre-prepared material. We also liked the fact that they actually employed their own installers rather than using contractors.

The quote wasn't the cheapest but we thought it was the best offering.

The installation occurred as scheduled and we have no complaints about the workmanship.
The site was actually left cleaner than when they arrived.

We have had one minor problem with the inverter which they attended to in a timely manner.

We were quoted a maximum daily production of 70 kW. We have actually achieved 82+ on some days.

Hassle Free!

ECG were very prompt in quoting our system after initial contact with SolarQuotes. One of their techs organised a site visit and walked me through the options and best fit for our home.

Come installation day the techs had great communication and cleaned up after themselves.

Quality Solution

We obtained quotes from three suppliers arranged by Solar Quotes. While all three were helpful, knowledgable, and prompt, we chose ECG as the best fit to our requirements despite not being the lowest cost. The service throughout has been professional, on time, and considerate. ECG sought fewer exclusions than the other two (such as tile replacement, arranging meter replacement, and dealing with cutover). In practice, the solution is working well, has been trouble-free, and the efficiency aspects of the system has resulted in significantly higher output, easily justifing the additional cost.

Note: The cost (below) includes two systems (with separate inverters) including a separately-metered granny flat so the price is a bit misleading.

The system has performed excellently since the installation on 23 November 2022. We continue to achieve very good energy gains from the solar panels which in turn has resulted in significant reductions in our energy bills.
